MTV Tr3s Ready to 'Lean Like a Cholo'Down AKA Kilo is MTV Tr3s 'Descubre & Download' Artist Beginning June 11th

A free download of Down's hit single "Lean Like a Cholo" is available exclusively at MTVTr3s.com through July 22nd.
Down was selected because "his music represents the diversity in the Urban Latino movement and is a great fit for our 'Descubre &Download' platform," says Jose Tillan, SVP of Music and Talent Strategy for MTV Tr3s. "His track 'Lean Like a Cholo' promises to be a winner this summer. The video is a lot of fun, with a perfect balance of West Coast humor, a great beat and a memorable hook."
Down fans can expect to see aggressive airplay of "Lean Like a Cholo" along with vignettes that give viewers the story behind Down and his lyrics. Viewers will also be able to discover everything they want to know about Down through his bio, photo gallery and extended vignettes on the "Descubre & Download" artist page on MTVTr3s.com and the Down's artist page on URGE.com. After hearing the true life stories told in rap lyrics by NWA, Down started rapping his stories at age 13. He was fascinated with the art of rhyming that made it possible for him to encompass fragments of his life into stories an entire Latino culture could understand because they also lived it.
Down's highly anticipated album "Definition of an Ese" dropped on May 22nd.
"Descubre and Download" is MTV Tr3s' multi-platform destination dedicated to promoting a new generation of Latino artists. Lockheed Martin Delivers Shore-Based Trainer for Littoral Combat Ship CrewsPier-Side Training Facility For LCS Sailors Delivered Ahead of Schedule and Under Cost
SAN DIEGO, Calif., June 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockheed Martin recently delivered the U.S. Navy's first fully-integrated, shore-based trainer for Sailors who will crew the Navy's future fleet of Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) at the San Diego Naval Base.
The Future Surface Combatant-Scalable Shore Based Trainer (FSC-SSBT) was designed specifically to support the special needs of the LCS, a new class of shallow-water surface combatant designed to be forward deployed the majority of its lifecycle. The FSC-SSBT will allow the crew of Freedom (LCS 1) and any additional Lockheed Martin-designed LCSs to undertake high-fidelity, realistic shipboard bridge, combat system and engineering duties -- in an integrated training environment -- long before they actually board the ship. The first Freedom crew members began training at the facility in early May.
The FSC-SSBT supports the Navy's LCS Concept of Operations through the reuse of shipboard software, integrated simulations, virtual environments and commercially available hardware. The facility's bridge simulator will allow the crew to virtually drive the LCS and perform specialized scenarios and maneuvers. The mission control center component of the training facility -- which is the actual size of the center on the ship -- will allow Sailors to use operational software from COMBATSS-21, the ship's combat management system.
The FSC-SSBT also supports the Navy's Blue and Gold crew manning concept, allowing for one crew to be trained while the other is deployed and operational. Pre-familiarized with the training facility's realistic LCS environment, shipboard crews can spend more time focused on operational events versus training.
In June 2006, the Navy awarded Lockheed Martin a $6 million contract to build the trainer within an 11 month period. Lockheed Martin delivered the FSC-SSBT to the Navy ahead of schedule on April 27 and approximately $300,000 under budget.
"The trainer provides a new training capability and construct for the U.S. Navy and the LCS program, supporting the Fleet Response Plan to help keep the warfighter fully trained and ready for operational deployment on a moment's notice," said Dan Schultz, vice president and general manager of Lockheed Martin's Littoral Ships & Systems business.
Headquartered in Bethesda, MD, Lockheed Martin employs about 140,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services.

Synopsys Honors Unified Power Format Collaborators With Seventh Annual Tenzing Norgay Interoperability Achievement AwardTexas Instruments, Nokia, Mentor Graphics and Magma Design Automation Receive Award as Initial Drivers of Unified Power Format
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., June 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Synopsys, Inc. , a world leader in semiconductor design software, announced that a foursome has received Synopsys' seventh annual Tenzing Norgay Interoperability Achievement Award for their vital, initial support of a single standard for low-power design and verification. Texas Instruments, Nokia, Mentor Graphics and Magma Design Automation together with Synopsys demonstrated strong support from the outset for an open, fast and inclusive standard to enable an interoperable low-power design and verification solution. The resulting Unified Power Format (UPF) is the newest Accellera standard approved in February 2007.
"For the first time, we are presenting this award to a team," said Rich Goldman, vice president, Strategic Market Development at Synopsys. "The success of UPF shows the value of open, fast and inclusive industry collaboration."
"We are honored to accept the Tenzing Norgay Interoperability Achievement Award, and we congratulate the other recipients," said David Peterman, manager, EDA and Design Methodology, Wireless Terminals Business Unit, Texas Instruments. "As a premier supplier of low-power ICs, we challenged the industry to quickly create a standard that was open and inclusive. Through our efforts and those of numerous contributors, UPF is here today and it is laudable to see EDA companies announcing support for it."
In July 2006, the industry became critically aware of the need for a common standard to describe low-power design intent throughout a multi-vendor design flow. Texas Instruments, Nokia, Mentor Graphics and Magma Design Automation showed leadership in helping coalesce many electronic design automation (EDA) suppliers and end-user companies around the UPF standard. With their backing, UPF has become the fastest EDA standard produced by Accellera to date with the highest number of technology donations converged into a single, open standard.
"As a world leader in mobility, Nokia embraces interoperability and sees opens standards as a central element in promoting innovation," said Mika Naula, Global IC Tools manager, Nokia. "We are delighted to receive this award and wish to see a wide and timely implementation of the UPF standard."
UPF allows all EDA tool vendors to offer advanced features that improve the design and verification of today's low-power integrated circuits (ICs). Customers can represent their low-power design intent in a common format knowing they have the freedom to choose the best EDA tools for their flow.
"Standards are effective when they are created in an open, collaborative environment," said Dennis Brophy, director of strategic business development, Design Verification and Test division, Mentor Graphics. "Mentor Graphics again demonstrated our dedication to interoperability by contributing technology and resources throughout the development of the UPF standard. We commend the other award recipients for helping drive the most important standard of the day."
"Magma backed the UPF effort from its inception and donated some of the key technologies because we wanted to encourage the cooperation and dedication of both customers and competitors to drive the best standard possible under Accellera," said Yatin Trivedi, director of Magma's Industry Partnership Program. "We are pleased these joint efforts have moved on to global adoption under IEEE."
As catalysts for UPF, Texas Instruments, Nokia, Mentor Graphics and Magma Design Automation epitomize the principles of EDA interoperability: cooperate on standards, compete on tools.
About the Tenzing Norgay Interoperability Achievement Award
The Tenzing Norgay EDA Interoperability Achievement Award was established by Synopsys to recognize EDA providers who collaborate on interoperable design flows that benefit the user community. The award is presented annually to an EDA company that has surpassed common levels of interoperability, has contributed to overall industry advancement and has helped provide a new view of the future for EDA interoperability. Named for the crucial role that Sherpa Tenzing Norgay played in the first successful attempt to reach the summit of Mount Everest in 1953, the EDA Interoperability Achievement Award recognizes achievements that are critical to a designer's success.

Colorado Housing and Finance Authority Improves Lender Experience With Captaris Workflow
Story Highlights
- Affordable housing financing leader re-engineers loan acquisition
process
- Provides enterprise platform for business process automation and
integration with Microsoft enterprise applications
- Loans are now reserved in minutes, improving sales
BELLEVUE, Wash., June 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ Captaris, Inc. , a leading provider of software products that automate document-centric processes, announced today that the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) chose Captaris Workflow to update its loan acquisition process and to provide an enterprise platform for business process automation. By re-engineering its loan acquisition processes with Workflow, CHFA enables lenders to reserve loans in minutes, which has increased sales; has a platform for easy integration with CHFA's Microsoft enterprise applications such as Microsoft BizTalk Server and Visual Studio; and has its services aligned with industry best practices. Read the full case study at http://www.captaris.com/case_studies.
Created by the Colorado state legislature in 1973, CHFA is a self-funded organization with a state-appointed board that manages close to $3 billion in assets. It was initially formed to address the shortage of affordable housing in the state. Since then, CHFA has established itself as the front-runner in the affordable housing industry by financing single family mortgages for qualifying home buyers. CHFA also provides loans to small and medium sized businesses. By relying on systems that did not support integration or flexibility for changing business processes, some CHFA procedures were no longer consistent with industry standard practices for selling loans. CHFA's clients-the lenders who secure loans for borrowers-were often challenged by business practices that occasionally caused lengthy turnarounds and delays for loan completions.
CHFA developed a plan for a whole new approach coined the Home Finance STARSystem, driven by integrated and automated workflow that would greatly enhance service to lenders. The IT team set requirements for the workflow vendor with a proven installation base and with software that could integrate with Microsoft server products and development environment. After conducting intensive evaluations, CHFA selected Captaris Workflow to automate its custom loan acquisition system for the Home Finance Division. Lenders now make loan reservations using the STARSystem Web interface and then the workflow system takes it to completion. Electronic reservations are held until they are matched with corresponding loan files submitted for compliance underwriting. After underwriting requirements are specifically defined, the workflow system automatically notifies lenders of necessary information or tasks to meet closing deadlines.
By re-engineering loan acquisition processes with Captaris Workflow, CHFA services are now aligned with industry best practices and the organization is providing a simplified experience to its single family lender base. Response to CHFA's new online STARsystem has been overwhelming. Lenders are quickly able to lock rates, manage their pipelines and reserve loans. Workflow provides visibility into case loads and processes, drives tasks and exposes bottlenecks. "When CHFA is able to turnaround loans sooner, our lenders require a smaller line of credit and get paid faster," said Karen Harkin, director of Home Finance. Rule-based workflow allows acquisition only when all documentation is perfected. The process to enter new products into the system and comply with IRS and mortgage industry guidelines is also streamlined. The key metrics of success are the cost savings in time and the ease of doing business, according to Rod Hardin, CHFA IT director. CHFA also plans to use Workflow to track response times, cost per loan and other statistics related to staff efficiency.
CHFA maintains six lines of business and residential mortgages comprise 65 percent of revenue. "We addressed the area with the biggest impact on our mission, but we've also created a framework to integrate effectively all line of business applications across a common platform," Hardin added. As a .NET solution that natively integrates with Microsoft technologies, Captaris Workflow seamlessly integrates with CHFA's infrastructure, including Microsoft BizTalk Server and Visual Studio. CHFA plans to integrate Captaris Workflow with a Microsoft CRM application in the near future.

EMC Provides Automated Document Management Solution To Legal Services ProviderCorporation Service Company Leverages Unified EMC(R) Software and Hardware Platform to Replace Inefficient Paper Processes and Improve Customer Service
HOPKINTON, Mass., June 6 /PRNewswire/ -- EMC Corporation, the world leader in information infrastructure solutions, today announced that Corporation Service Company(R) (CSC), a leading provider of legal and financial services to corporations and law firms, has increased efficiency and improved customer service by replacing its manual paper processes with a comprehensive document and content management infrastructure from EMC. CSC(R) is benefiting from an electronic litigation management system created by the combination of EMC Captiva(R) InputAccel(R) document capture software, EMC Documentum(R) enterprise content management platform and EMC Centera(R) active archive storage, all integrated with a proprietary application. The unified capture, content management and storage platform has reduced the time needed for processing critical business documents and has improved customer access to information.
"The EMC platform has become the backbone of our business, by enabling the automation of so many formerly paper-based processes and driving efficiencies throughout the organization," said Bettina Tweardy Riveros, Director of Product Development at CSC. "As a result, the CSC service team is able to deliver a higher level of service to our clients."
As the legal representative of its client companies, CSC offices throughout the country receive service of process (SOP) documents, such as court summons and subpoenas, on behalf of its clients who are involved in legal proceedings.
Previously, each of CSC's offices manually processed all incoming paper SOP documents. With the EMC platform, each office now scans incoming SOPs and electronically captures the information from the paper documents using the InputAccel software and a proprietary CSC system. InputAccel then uploads the digital content into the Documentum enterprise content management (ECM) platform, which provides a central repository for managing the SOP documents as well as the workflows involved in their processing and delivery to customers. After a specified period of time, the Documentum system automatically moves the SOP to an EMC Centera storage system.
CSC leverages the EMC Captiva Input Management Console for centralized performance monitoring of the document capture system. The Input Management Console provides insight into the distributed capture process through real- time performance alerts that help eliminate system down-time and provide easier administration.
The combined capture, content management and storage solution from EMC has replaced CSC's manual processes and reduced SOP processing times to less than 24 hours. The improved efficiencies can have a direct impact on their clients' response time to legal proceedings.
In addition to increasing efficiency, the document capture and content management solution has improved customer access to information. CSC takes advantage of Documentum's ability to provide a structured and secure environment for clients to manage all documents pertaining to a specific case.
"The EMC platform provides a more scalable solution and a much more robust set of management tools for our clients," said Riveros. "Now, they can instantly view their SOP in CSC's litigation management system, upload other classes of documents for broad matter management capabilities, and coordinate across the corporate legal department and with outside law firms."
"CSC is a great example of how companies can eliminate process inefficiencies and improve client service through the use of a comprehensive information infrastructure from EMC for managing content from capture to archive," said Balaji Yelamanchili, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Content Management & Archiving at EMC.
CSC plans to expand the transactional content management solution to other business applications, including compliance and governance solutions and UCC services.

NEW YORK, June 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Bion Environmental Technologies, Inc. ('Bion') (OTC BB: BNET) announced today that it has resumed trading on the OTC Bulletin Board under the same symbol (BNET), effective today. Bion has completed the comment process on its Form 10-SB Registration Statement with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission. Bion has been subject to the periodic reporting requirements of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, since January 14, 2007.
Bion has been traded on the Pink Sheets since early 2004, when it was delisted from the OTC Bulletin Board. At that time, the Company elected to discontinue its SEC filings while it was refining its technology to exploit an evolving opportunity: integration of large-scale livestock operations with efficient ethanol production. Prior to its delisting, Bion had traded on the OTC Bulletin Board since 1992.
Mark Smith, Bion's President, stated, "The timing of our return to the OTC Bulletin Board is appropriate in light of the Company's recent progress in moving towards commercial operations. Bion's waste management technology platform has demonstrated its effectiveness, as shown by the peer-reviewed data generated at the Devries Dairy in Texas. From April 2005 to August 2006, Mr. Scott served in a similar role (VP - Capital Markets upon departure) with Cano Petroleum, Inc., an oil and gas production company specializing in unconventional oil recovery methods. During that period and immediately after, Cano successfully raised approximately $160 million in debt and equity financing and substantially increased its institutional ownership. Prior to that, from March 2004 to April 2005, he was the National Sales Manager and Director of Investor Relations for Tri-Valley Corp.. During his tenure there, Tri-Valley was the number one performing energy company listed on the AMEX (2004), based on year- to-year increase of share price.
About Bion: Bion Environmental Technologies, Inc.'s patented and proprietary technology platform reduces the environmental impact of Confined Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs), such as dairies and cattle feeding operations, and enables integration of large scale CAFOs, ethanol production and end-product processing (milk, cheese, beef) in an environmentally and economically sustainable manner (Integrated Projects). Renewable energy - sufficient to provide the entire thermal energy requirements for the Integrated Project - is produced from the waste stream and utilized on-site, as is the ethanol corn by-product, enabling increased efficiencies and profitability for all Project facilities. Bion intends to focus its efforts
on development, operation and ownership of Integrated Projects in multiple states.

Quantum Extends Global Tape Automation Leadership With Availability of LTO-4 TechnologyCustomers Gain Increased Security, Performance and Capacity Benefits
SAN JOSE, Calif., June 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Quantum Corp. , the leading global specialist in backup, recovery and archive, today announced the availability of LTO-4 tape drives and media in its market-leading tape automation portfolio, beginning with the Scalar(R) i2000 and Scalar(R) i500 intelligent library platforms. LTO-4 secures and protects business-critical data with industry standard encryption capabilities and is the first open systems tape drive technology to incorporate native encryption. LTO-4 also doubles the native capacity of the previous generation LTO-3 to 800 GB and reaches native performance levels of up to 120 MB/sec, fifty percent faster than its predecessor.
With the growing popularity of disk-based backup and recovery solutions and the continued consolidation of tape library resources, tape is increasingly taking on a more specialized role in data protection. In many cases, customers are using tape primarily for disaster recovery. Tape offers high capacity, portability, low cost per gigabyte, and suitability for long-term, energy-efficient archive, making it an optimal solution. In many other cases, tape is playing a centralized backup role, where there is a continued need for high performance. Regardless of how tape is used, however, customers are facing stringent government regulations related to the safeguarding of sensitive records and especially the protection of data assets during transport and long-term storage.
The incorporation of LTO-4 into Quantum's intelligent, high density and high performance Scalar library platforms addresses this evolving set of customer needs while providing the added value of Quantum's comprehensive approach to library management through its iLayer(R) technology, dramatically improving user visibility and diagnostic capabilities.
"Corporations must retain data for long periods of time and ensure compliance with internal service level agreements and government regulations," said Mark Eastman, product line director, Tape Automation Systems for Quantum. "As a result, customers are demanding higher security, capacity, performance and reliability across their tape investments. Quantum's industry-leading automation platforms incorporating the latest generation LTO-4 technology deliver on these important features."
By providing native, industry standard encryption on the tape drive, LTO-4 is designed to prevent the data stored on the tape media from being accessed by unauthorized parties. With the adoption of industry standard encryption, Quantum customers can also have peace of mind that data assets can be decrypted in future years. And by offering strong AES 256-bit native encryption, LTO-4 allows customers to take full advantage of drive performance and compression. They are no longer forced to choose between performance, compression or encryption, which is especially important in enterprise environments where tape library resources must securely back up and protect many terabytes of data in a single backup window.
LTO-4 technology ensures both forward and backward compatibility, as well as interchangeability across manufacturers. Customers can seamlessly upgrade to LTO-4 with backward read-and-write compatibility to LTO-3 and backward read to LTO-2. Each LTO-4 tape carries its own file system directory, allowing direct drag-and-drop access by applications and operating systems.
Availability
LTO-4 drives are currently available for Quantum's enterprise-class Scalar i2000 and mid-range Scalar i500 tape libraries. The company plans to include the drive technology across other tape systems later this year. For more information on Quantum's automation portfolio featuring LTO-4, please visit: http://www.quantum.com/Products/TapeLibraries/Index.aspx. For more information on purchasing Quantum LTO Ultrium 4 media cartridges, please visit: http://www.quantum.com/Products/Media/Index.aspx.

Genesys and Lekane Extend the Contact Center With Mobility and Presence Management for Staff on the MoveTeliaSonera in Finland becomes first production site to implement mobile contact center with Lekane
LONDON, June 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, Inc., an Alcatel-Lucent company (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU), and Lekane today announced a major technology breakthrough that extends the contact center to reach mobile and field service staff, while managing their availability and presence. Finnish-based Lekane has leveraged the Genesys suite to create a small, lightweight Java-based agent desktop that confirms the presence and availability of field service personnel and enables a centralized contact center to easily transfer customer inquiries when appropriate. The software is significant because it enables contractors, back office workers, and branch experts who may not be on a centralized system to tie into the main contact center, with virtually no significant investment in new telephony systems.
Lekane's software, unveiled at Genesys' annual G-Force London conference (June 4-6), enables a wide range of contractors, subcontractors, and employees in the field to answer customer inquiries. One of the first implementations of the mobile contact center is already underway at the telecommunications company, TeliaSonera, in Finland. The solution is an application that enables mobile employees to execute key customer service tasks while on the move.
Using a mobile device, remote workers or staff currently out of the office can become part of the contact center, empowered for both inbound and outbound interactions, with wireless access to the Genesys contact center along with all customer data. Remote agents have the ability to preview on their mobile phone who is calling and why before connecting to the call. Once the call is complete, any new data the agent puts into the mobile device can be sent back to Genesys reporting for further business analysis.
"For Genesys this is the natural extension of our strategy to increase the flexibility of customer service for both businesses and customers. It extends the concept of the Dynamic contact center to the mobile arena and further extends customer service outside of the classic contact center," said Wes Hayden, president and CEO, Genesys. "This flexibility will mean major cost reductions to businesses through optimizing the activity of staff who need to communicate with customers but are also often on the move. It will provide customers with speedier service and more likelihood of first call resolution through having the right expert available to deal with their request."
There has already been great interest in this application and TeliaSonera has successfully completed an installation with the network operators that maintain the 2G & 3G networks equipped with the solution. The operators are constantly on the move, visiting operations and ensuring the network is running properly. They also provide technical support to field maintenance staff. With the new solution the network operators do not need to be in the central office to take calls and make changes. All this can now be done on the move meaning both cost reductions and improvement in service.
"In our previous setup a call might have needed to be processed by five people but now, with the Genesys and Lekane mobile solution, the call can be delivered directly to the right expert," said Mikko Raitio, Senior Corporate Manager at TeliaSonera. "It also improves the flexibility of working hours, for example during the weekends the backup shift can now be remotely handled from home. The project has created a myriad of ideas on how we can apply the mobile contact center in our customer service."

CHICAGO, June 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Cars.com (http://www.cars.com/) has launched a mobile version of its popular automotive website that can be accessed from any web-enabled mobile device. Cars.com is the first automotive site to offer vehicle listings alongside research tools and buying advice in a mobile application, giving savvy car shoppers on-the-go access to the information they need to make smart buying decisions.
(Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20070606/NYW001 )
"Eighty percent of today's car shoppers turn to the web to do research at some point in the buying process," said Sharon Knitter, director of product management at Cars.com. "With wireless web access on the rise, Cars.com sees an opportunity to bring those shoppers practical applications they can use while out shopping for a car. We have found that purchasing a car is still a shopping process where people need to visit a dealer to see and test-drive the vehicle. With Cars.com mobile, shoppers can now take the information found on Cars.com with them, giving them more confidence when they sit down to make their final purchase."
Whether out shopping on a dealer's lot and in need of additional information to make a purchase or trying to make the most of a daily commute by reading reviews and automotive news, Cars.com mobile brings shoppers the best of Cars.com. Visitors will be able to search Cars.com's inventory of two million new and used vehicles and get more details on the cars that interest them, including photos. Other features allow shoppers to access Kelley Blue Book's Used Car Values, calculate vehicle payments and read expert reviews and the latest automotive news via Cars.com's blog, KickingTires. Mobile shoppers will also be able to quickly find a local dealer through the site's dealer locator, which will also offer maps and directions to the dealership and click-to-call functionality.
In a recent Cars.com survey, 30 percent of consumers indicated they would access the site from a dealership lot(1). As mobile internet access grows at a rate of one million subscribers a month, Cars.com expects that number to rise quickly(2).
Cars.com mobile is accessible through any mobile web browser by entering the URL http://www.cars.com/. Streamlined for the mobile environment, Cars.com mobile provides shoppers access to the most widely used information and tools on Cars.com in a format optimized for their personal device.
Cars.com is powered by Crisp Wireless, a leading content management services company that builds, hosts and maintains mobile websites for major media and entertainment companies. Aruba Receives 'Best Buy' Rating for Wireless Security from SC MagazineAruba's feature-rich Mobility Controller was easy to set up, quickly located rogues, and both detected and classified attacks
SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Aruba Networks, Inc. , a global leader in secure mobility solutions, today announced that SC Magazine awarded the Aruba 800 Mobility Controller a "Best Buy" rating for network wireless security. Chosen from among a wide field of contenders, the Mobility Controller was found to be easy to install, easy to administer, and the front-runner in terms of security capabilities.
"We found the Aruba 800 Mobility Controller running ArubaOS 3.1 to be a great product for overburdened IT shops that want to spend more time administering and less time learning the features of a new product," said Justin Peltier, a regular contributor to SC Magazine and senior security consultant for Peltier Associates which conducted the tests. "The product is easy to install and incorporates a large number of advanced features unique in this price range such as VLANs, IPSec tunnel termination, 802.1X integration, roaming and advanced RADIUS authentication."
Aruba's mobility solutions associate security and access policies with individual users instead of ports. This allows security to follow users instead of forcing users to connect to the network through specific ports. Combined with stateful firewalling, access control, and client-to-core authentication and encryption, Aruba's follow-me security extends enterprise security to roaming users wherever they travel.
"The Aruba 800 Mobility Controller is packed with a wide range of standard security features, but it is also easy of use," said Vijay Raman, Aruba's head of technical marketing. "The SC tests highlight the strength of our security and the broad range of threats against which protection is provided. At the same time, the tests demonstrated the simplicity of the user interface and the ease of integration with existing networks. We're delighted to be awarded SC's 'Best Buy' rating because it validates that we hit the mark both on price and features."
About Aruba Networks, Inc.
Aruba's user-centric architecture provides access to enterprise data, voice and video applications across wired and wireless LAN, WAN, and carrier networks without compromising security or mobility. Follow-me security and access policies are centrally managed and associated with users, not ports, and are enforced regardless of where users roam within or outside of the enterprise. Aruba's solution suite encompasses ArubaOS software running on a range of Mobility Controller hardware platforms, value-added application software modules including an enterprise FMC option, network management software, wired and wireless access points, and valued-added access point software modules including a secure enterprise mesh option for wire-free networking. XO Communications Launches Broadband Wireless Services in Las VegasExpands Availability of High-Speed Internet Access and Private Data Networking Services for Businesses
LAS VEGAS, June 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Businesses in the Las Vegas metropolitan area now have a new option for high-speed Internet access and private data networking services thanks to the roll out of broadband wireless technology from XO Communications and Nextlink Wireless, Inc., an affiliated XO company and the nation's largest holder of Local Multipoint Distribution System (LMDS) spectrum with licenses in 75 metropolitan markets. With today's launch in Las Vegas, XO Communications now operates broadband wireless networks in twelve metropolitan markets across the United States.
XO Communications is utilizing licensed broadband wireless spectrum covering the entire Las Vegas metropolitan area to extend the reach of its metro fiber network and offer high-speed Internet access and private data networking services to businesses and building owners. Through broadband wireless point-to-point connections, XO Communications can deliver high-speed network services directly to businesses at speeds ranging from 45 Mbps to 155 Mbps (OC-3) to support a wide range of communications services, including dedicated Internet access, metro Ethernet, voice over IP (VoIP), wide area networks in campus or business park settings and network redundancy.
"XO's deployment of broadband wireless technology opens the door to a wider world of options for high-speed network access for businesses that do not have fiber access at their locations or are only served by one local telecom provider," said Peter Kasparoff, general manager of the Las Vegas market for XO Communications. "This expansion of our network is part of our continuing focus to provide businesses in Las Vegas with innovative high-speed network services and alternatives in the wake of a consolidating telecommunications industry."
Broadband wireless technology allows XO Communications to expand its network coverage beyond its 366-route mile metro fiber network in Las Vegas and fill a critical gap for businesses and building owners that require higher-speed network connections but lack direct access to fiber optic networks at their locations or lack competing alternatives for communications services. Today, less than 20 percent of buildings in the United States have direct fiber access to support high-bandwidth communications services. In addition new fiber optic network builds can be both costly and time-consuming to deploy.
Coverage
XO Communications' broadband wireless coverage includes all of downtown Las Vegas and its surrounding suburbs. In addition to Las Vegas, XO Communications operates wireless networks in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix, San Diego, Seattle, Tampa and Washington, DC.
