a progressé de 18 pour cent pour atteindre 308,8 millions de dollars
américains (USD) contre 260,7 millions USD l'année dernière. En excluant

(Logo : http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20010221/ATW031LOGO)
Pour ce qui est de la période de six mois terminée le 30 novembre 2007,
le chiffre d'affaires a fait un bond de 19 pour cent pour se situer à 619,8
millions USD par rapport à 521,0 millions USD à pareille date l'an dernier.
d'autres frais >>, a souligné M. Garcia.

NETGEAR's Next-Generation Wireless-N Products Utilize Metamaterial Antenna Technology to Deliver Faster Speeds at Longer Ranges
Connecting the seemingly endless variety of network-enabled devices for productivity and entertainment in the home demands a wireless network infrastructure that provides range, security, reliability, speed, and stability of connections. NETGEAR's next-generation wireless-N family of routers and adapters are based upon the 802.11n draft specification and deliver the fastest speeds, longest ranges and most reliable connections. The innovative new products utilize an internal array of Smart Antennas based on metamaterial technology, a revolutionary and patented innovation with unique transmission properties that provides the highest level of quality, reliability and signal optimization even in dense integrated circuit designs, to deliver best-in-class performance and stability of wireless connections across the full 802.11 spectrum. This high-performance multi-antenna array technology, which has been incorporated across the NETGEAR family of next-generation RangeMax Wireless-N products, delivers the superior range and throughput that has established NETGEAR's RangeMax technology as the industry performance leader stemming back to the introduction of its 802.11g MIMO RangeMax series of WiFi routers and adapters.
The NETGEAR RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N Router (WNDR3300) delivers the highest Wi-Fi performance for today's Wireless-N notebooks and dual-band adapters while providing simultaneous support for legacy 802.11g devices as well as clients based on 2.4 GHz and/or 5 GHz Wireless-N. Panasonic Reveals Wireless High Definition Audio-Visual Connectivity at 2008 International CESThe World's First Wireless Transmission System Based on WirelessHD Standard Realizes Greater Layout Flexibility
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Panasonic today announced that it has developed the world-first wireless High Definition (HD) Audio/Video transmission system based on the "WirelessHD(TM)" standard, in partnership with SiBEAM, Inc. (SiBEAM) of the United States. The system enables HD video transmission in uncompressed format between a television and other AV equipment like a Blu-ray Disc player without quality deterioration. Panasonic will debut this system at the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) which will be held from January 7-10, 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Panasonic's lineup of featured products and technologies will be on display at booth #9405.
Unlike conventional wireless transmission technologies, this system uses a 60 GHz-band millimeter wave radio to provide robust transmission connectivity, since uncompressed HD video requires a large bandwidth. The WirelessHD system consists of a Plasma television with a receiver and a movable rack housing video sources with a transmitter such as a Blu-ray Disc player and HD digital camcorder. Without the clutter of connecting cables, users can enjoy greater freedom in positioning and design of their home theater. For example, a user can hang an HD Plasma on their wall while keeping their Blu-ray Disc player apart from the Plasma, without worrying about running cables or other wires between the products.
SiBEAM's beam steering technology enables this system to maintain stable connectivity when there is an obstacle, such as a person, between the wireless transmitter and receiver. When the system detects an obstacle interrupting the beam, it immediately finds another path to maintain a stable link and provide uninterrupted signal transmission. Therefore, users can enjoy their wireless High Definition Plasma viewing without having to worry about signal interference just as with conventional cable-connected systems.
Panasonic's newly announced VIERA Link feature is available with this system. VIERA Link is an audio/video operation system developed and promoted by Panasonic that uses a single remote to operate an entire home entertainment system connected via High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI(TM)) cable.

WASHINGTON, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- XM will debut XM NavWeather featuring exclusive Threat Matrix technology, the first real-time, personalized weather tracking service for GPS navigation, at the 2008 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), January 13-17, in Detroit. XM will also demonstrate in its infotainment vehicle a next-generation, rich, full-feature color touch-screen display, an electronic programming guide, stocks and sports tickers, dynamic information technology and more.
XM NavWeather enables drivers for the first time to view live, personalized weather forecasts and conditions on top of their existing navigation display. The exclusive "Threat Matrix" technology provides immediate alerts on developing weather conditions, such as hail, tornado and storm warnings, mapped to the driver's specific location and driving route. Drivers will have the option to view current and developing road weather conditions and multi-day forecasts for cities across the country, and also view weather maps to monitor conditions anywhere in the United States. The breakthrough new service complements the award-winning XM NavTraffic real-time traffic data service.
XM NavWeather was developed with Baron Services, utilizing Baron's exclusive Threat Matrix technology. Baron Services is XM's weather partner for the award-winning XM WX Satellite Weather service that provides "professional grade" real-time weather information direct to aircraft cockpits and marine navionics instruments. XM NavWeather builds upon this success, providing a clear "consumer friendly" interpretation of weather data.
XM plans to announce the first auto partners to offer XM NavWeather in early 2008, and the service will be available for the portable Bushnell ONIX 400 within 30 days.
"XM is debuting the first service that alerts consumers to real-time weather threats on the road ahead, a major breakthrough in providing consumers with comprehensive, personalized weather information," said Steve Cook, executive vice president, Automotive, XM Satellite Radio. Drivers will soon find these services are impossible to live without."
The XM infotainment vehicle at the NAIAS in Detroit will also show existing features and exploratory concepts including:
-- Innovative User Interface - XM fans will be able to fully immerse
themselves in the XM experience through a brand-new touch-screen
interface. A bold, full-color display including album art, channel and
sports team logos and a multi-function display for viewing multiple XM
channels at once, will make the XM infotainment experience richer and
easier than ever before.
-- Electronic Programming Guide - A real-time, interactive programming
guide notifying the driver and passengers of upcoming special programs
on XM's more than 170 channels. The driver can request a reminder for a
program of interest and later be alerted if they are in the vehicle the
next time the shows they selected are broadcast.
-- Pause/Replay - The ability to pause and replay multiple channels of XM
programming, simultaneously, ensuring you never miss a music beat,
sports play or news item.
-- XM NavTraffic - The nation's leading satellite-delivered traffic
information service, informs drivers of current traffic conditions,
such as travel speeds on major roads, accident locations, and road
closures, updated in real-time on the navigation screen. The service is
available now for 80 markets in vehicles from Acura, Cadillac, Toyota,
Lexus, Nissan and Infiniti, as well as various retail aftermarket GPS
navigation products.
-- XM Sports and XM Stocks - Streams your team's game times and scores
and/or your updates to your stock portfolio directly to your vehicle as
updates happen, and without interrupting your XM Radio listening.
-- VoiceCommand - Sophisticated voice control, developed by VoiceBox
Technologies, for operating the radio, along with weather, traffic,
stock quotes, and sports scores. Drivers will never need to lift a
finger or take their eyes off the road again.
-- XM NavInfo - Dynamic data service that utilizes the XM satellite
pipeline to deliver point-of-interest data to the vehicle, such as
nearby open parking space locations, local fuel prices, and flight
information. XM NavInfo then relies on the vehicle's GPS to lead you
there.
The infotainment vehicle is designed to illustrate how XM's next-generation technology can be implemented by its OEM partners. A 2008 Infiniti QX56 has been outfitted this year for display at the Detroit Auto Show at the COBO Convention Center in Michigan Hall.

Imation's 'TDK Life on Record' Brand Adds SimpleSave Back-Up Solution to Optical Media PortfolioSimpleSave DVDs Automate Essential PC Back-up Tasks
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DIGITAL EXPERIENCE AT CES -- Imation Corp. , exclusive licensee of the "TDK Life on Record" recording media brand, today added new SimpleSave back-up solution DVDs to its TDK portfolio. SimpleSave DVDs are the first optical discs to provide an all-in-one back-up solution for photos, music and data. TDK SimpleSave DVDs offer a convenient way to automatically back up important digital content from a PC to a DVD disc.
Harris Research notes that 96 percent of consumers do not regularly back up their computers because they see the process as confusing, overwhelming and inconvenient. "With today's digital lifestyles, many consumers now create and acquire digital files faster than they can back them up," said Jean-Paul Eekhout, global brand director for TDK Life on Record brand, Imation Corp. "SimpleSave DVDs offer end users unprecedented convenience for protecting valuable music libraries, irreplaceable photos and personal documents."
SimpleSave discs are available in three variations that help consumers organize their digital libraries by file type. TDK SimpleSave:Photo discs find and save .JPG, .RAW, .PSD, .BMP and other image files, while TDK SimpleSave:Music discs find and save audio files including .MP3, .AAC, .WAV, .AIF and more. Use TDK SimpleSave:Docs to find and save text documents, presentations, spreadsheets and more.
Software and Media All-in-One
TDK SimpleSave DVDs are recordable discs with the added benefit of a built-in software that finds, organizes and backs up digital files onto the very same disc. After the SimpleSave disc is loaded into the DVD burner on any PC, the back-up software automatically launches -- with no installation required -- then finds the designated file types on the PC and records them. The software automatically lets users know when the disc is full and prompts them to insert another disc. No additional software or recording media are required, and the auto-launching software requires no configuration. If desired, advanced options allow users to designate which file types should be located and saved, so specific file extensions can be included or excluded.
Pricing and Availability
TDK brand SimpleSave back-up solution DVDs will be available worldwide in the spring of 2008. Suggested pricing at U.S. retail will be $12.99 for a pack of five TDK SimpleSave:Photo DVDs; $9.99 for a pack of three SimpleSave:Music DVDs; and $7.99 for a pack of three SimpleSave:Docs DVDs.
