    SYRACUSE, N.Y., May 1 /PRNewswire/ -- In a continuing effort to provide the best wireless service for local residents in Madison County, Verizon Wireless has expanded its network with a new cell site in Morrisville. The new site improves coverage and capacity east and west on Route 20, and north on County Road 25 in the towns of Morrisville and Cazenovia.

    This network expansion is part of the company's aggressive multi-billion dollar network investment each year to stay ahead of the growing demand for Verizon Wireless voice and data services. The company has invested more than $45 billion since it was formed -- on average, $5.5 billion every year -- to increase the coverage and capacity of its national network and to add new services.

    Microsoft Takes Geotagging Mainstream With New Digital Photo Products

    Microsoft Corp today introduced two new products to help photographers manage their digital photos in a new way using location data, a process known as geotagging. Today, Microsoft also released Expression Media 2, a new version of its digital asset management software, which is part of the Expression family of products for creative professionals. Expression Media 2 is designed to help reduce the amount of time required by photographers to manage and organise large collections of photos and other digital media, and it includes geotagging functionality.

Whirlpool Corporation's claims in that action state that several LG-manufactured refrigerator products imported into the U.S. infringe on these additional patents.     On why the United States has been unable to forge a broader peace in the Middle East, Carter said, "The main reason is that no succeeding President has really made a major effort [in Middle East peace] with any chance to succeed and of course the Israeli's have got to have the United States making a major effort. I can't say that Bill Clinton didn't try but he didn't start until the last year of his term because of political consequences. And of course President Bush claims he's making an effort now. It's very feeble and half hearted but he also started, as you know, in the last year of his term when he's looked upon as a lame duck."

    "[In Iraq] I've always been in favor of the Lee Hamilton and James Baker proposal which was consummated after a superb blue ribbon commission studied the whole situation for a year. And I think still that's what we should have done. President Bush unfortunately rejected it and the Democrats have never collected around it. What this calls for, obviously is for is for us to notify the Iraqi leaders on a clear withdrawal date, it maybe one year in the future, it maybe two, or three or four years but a certain date which means they will need to assume responsibility for their military, their politics and their economy. "

    On the current Democratic primaries, the former President and super delegate said, "I think the whole thing is going to be over the 3rd of June when we have our last Primary. At that point I would guess that if one of the candidates, whichever one, has a clear lead in delegates or states, or popular vote, certainly all three, that the super delegates would be foolish to vote contrary to the way the democratic voters have cast their ballots all over the country."

    When asked by Senator Bill Bradley what Jimmy Carter would want young people to carry on as his legacy, the former President said, "Two generic things that I've always espoused and that is peace and human rights, and I inherited those from my mother."

    Wal-Mart Shares Nearly $1.2 Billion in Profit-Sharing and 401(k) Contributions, Stock Purchase and Merchandise Discounts With U.S. Hourly Associates Last Year

    BENTONVILLE, Ark., May 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., announced today that it is sharing almost $1.2 billion with its U.S. hourly associates through profit-sharing and 401(k) contributions, stock purchase plan and associate merchandise discounts for the fiscal year ending January 31, 2008.

    During the fiscal year ending January 31, 2008, Wal-Mart contributed: -- $724.4 million to 838,955 hourly associates in profit-sharing and 401(k) contributions. -- $50.1 million to 764,098 hourly associates toward the company's associate stock purchase plan. -- $420.2 million in discounted merchandise to hourly associates and their family members through our merchandise discount program.

    Additionally, Wal-Mart awarded more than $636.4 million in bonuses earlier this year to Wal-Mart store and Sam's Club hourly associates in the U.S.

    In total, the company has shared over $1.8 billion with its hourly associates in the U.S. through the various financial incentives.

    Wal-Mart contributes a certain percentage of an eligible associate's pay to the profit-sharing and 401(k) plan.
