    CARMEL, Ind., June 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ITT Educational Services, Inc. has opened its third ITT Technical Institute in Arizona. The new school in Phoenix expands ITT Tech's national presence to 101 locations in 35 states.

    Flextronics Changes Time of Earnings Call On July 24, 2008 to 5:30 PM Eastern Time

    Garmin Announces 2008 Annual Dividend and Share Repurchase Program

    CAYMAN ISLANDS, June 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Garmin Ltd. , the global leader in satellite navigation, announced today that its board of directors has approved the payment of a 2008 annual cash dividend in the amount of $0.75 per share. The dividend is payable to shareholders of record on December 1, 2008 and will be paid on December 15, 2008.

    Garmin Ltd. also announced that its board of directors approved a share repurchase program authorizing the company to purchase up to 10 million common shares of Garmin Ltd. as market and business conditions warrant. The timing and amounts of any purchases will be determined by the company's management depending on market conditions and other factors including price, regulatory requirements and capital availability.     Sensata Technologies B.V. Announces Debt Refinancing

    ALMELO, The Netherlands, June 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sensata Technologies B.V. (the "Company") announced today that it plans to issue an aggregate principal amount of euro 141 million of senior subordinated notes (the "Notes") with a coupon of 11.25% and a maturity date of May 1, 2016 in a transaction exempt from the registration requirements of the Securities Act of 1933.

The survey, conducted by Harris Interactive(R) on behalf of Spherion Corporation , reflects workers' increasing confidence in the economy, as more workers report that the economy is getting stronger in May.

    More workers, however, expressed concern about their personal job security. Seventy-five percent say it is unlikely they will lose their job in the next 12 months, a decline of three percentage points from the prior month. Two other key indicators also declined slightly. Sixty-four percent said they are confident in the future of their current employer, while just over half (51 percent) express confidence in their ability to find a new job. Both indicators dropped one percentage point from April.

    "While some industries, such as manufacturing, have been performing better than expected, the simmering fears about job loss persist," said William Grubbs, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Spherion Corporation. "Even if they are employed and feel that their employer is doing well, many people know someone who has been laid off or is struggling and that insecurity creates a ripple effect, however subtle.

    "What's important to keep in mind, however, is that the jobs picture is multifaceted. While some industries are in decline, others are growing rapidly. In addition, the prospects for college graduates, although not as expansive as in past years, are still relatively good. Although there may be common threads, people in different industries or at different stages of their careers will have varied experiences. Right now, there is no 'one' economy or 'one' job market. These 'mixed messages' are evident in the survey, where workers' views about the strength of the economy are inching up even as they express doubts about their own job situation."

    Confidence Level Up for the First Time in 2008: The Spherion Employee Confidence Index increased for the first time in nine months, rising 0.7 points to 46.9 in May. The Index, which measures workers' confidence in their personal employment situation and optimism in the macroeconomic environment, reveals that while workers' personal confidence has declined slightly, their views of the macroeconomic situation is on the rise.

    As part of the Spherion(R) Emerging Workforce(R) Series of employment surveys, the monthly Spherion Employment Report provides a snapshot of the latest workforce trends across the country and is issued in conjunction with state and national labor market releases. Three key indices are measured: the Spherion Job Security Index, which captures how likely respondents think it is that they will lose their job or that their job will be eliminated in the next 12 months; the Spherion Job Transition Index, which captures how likely respondents are to look for a new job in the next 12 months and the Employee Confidence Index that measures employees' overall confidence in the economy, their employer and their ability to find other employment. The Employee Confidence Index is calculated from the results of four components that reflect these aspects of employee confidence. For each component item a 'score' is calculated by taking the difference of the percentage of positive responses and the percentage of negative responses. These four scores are then averaged to indicate an overall level of employee confidence, with each score ranking on a scale from 0 (no confidence) to 100 (complete confidence). A reading above 50 indicates a positive confidence level.

    Methodology

    This May 2008 Spherion Employment Tracker was conducted online within the United States by Harris Interactive on behalf of Spherion Corporation between May 7-9 and May 12-14, 2008 among a U.S. sample of 2,604 employed adults, aged 18 years and older (April 2008 n=2,836). Results were weighted as needed for age, sex, race/ethnicity, income, education and region. Propensity score weighting was also used to adjust for respondents' propensity to be online.

    All sample surveys and polls, whether or not they use probability sampling, are subject to multiple sources of error which are most often not possible to quantify or estimate, including sampling error, coverage error, error associated with nonresponse, error associated with question wording and response options, and post-survey weighting and adjustments. Therefore, Harris Interactive avoids the words "margin of error" as they are misleading. All that can be calculated are different possible sampling errors with different probabilities for pure, unweighted, random samples with 100% response rates. These are only theoretical because no published polls come close to this ideal.

    Respondents for this survey were selected from among those who have agreed to participate in Harris Interactive surveys. The data have been weighted to reflect the composition of the U.S. adult population. Because the sample is based on those who agreed to be invited to participate in the Harris Interactive online research panel, no estimates of theoretical sampling error can be calculated.

    Guangzhou Global Telecom Review 2008 1Q Results

    GUANGZHOU, China, June 6 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Guangzhou Global Telecom Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: GZGT) , a mobile phone handset, pre-paid calling card distributor and provider of value-added mobile services in the PRC, reported $7,672,427 in 1Q revenues as compared to $3,762,418 during the same period ended in 2007, representing an increase of $3,910,009 or 104%.

    The significant increase in revenue is primarily contributed by the foundation work laid in 2007 which saw the Company expand in other parts of China with new branches being set up. The increase in revenue is extremely important as it means the Company has not only cemented its market share, but also enlarged its customer base and network simultaneously. At a time when the mobile industry is restructuring, an expanded presence puts the Company in good stead to capitalize on any first-hand opportunities. The first three months of 2008 added more than 20 million subscribers, based on government data. This growth figure is the main driver behind the Company's rapid expansion in China.

    The gross profit increased from $113,159 during the three months ended March 31, 2007 to $684,643 in the same period of 2008. The increase of gross profit is mainly generated from the increase in revenue. Meanwhile, the gross margin saw a marked improvement from 3% during the quarter ended March 31, 2007 to 9% in this 1Q of FY 2008. Following changes in the sales model of China Mobile Guangzhou from the first quarter of 2007, the management responded by adopting several initiatives in expanding our sales segments and regions to eliminate this effect.

    General and administrative expenses were $705,723 as compared to $73,053 for the same period ended in 2007, an increase of $632,670. The increase resulted mainly from an expansion in network operations, increased travelling and administrative expenses recorded in this quarter due to additional set-ups of sales representative-offices to handle a growing customer base, and a one- time incentive bonus payment.

    Operating loss of $187,546 was recorded during the three months ended March 31, 2008, as compared to a gain of $15,437 during the same period of 2007. The loss was mainly due to the one-off incentive payment.

    Interest expenses were $169,629 during the three months ended March 31, 2008, which mainly included the interest payment of convertible debt and fund- raising costs related to the second installment of convertible debt financing.

    Net loss was recorded at $416,757 during the three months ended March 31, 2008, as compared to net profit of $12,414 during the same period of 2007. The loss was mainly due to a non-recurring payment and convertible debt interest expenses recorded during this quarter.

The company's planned $80 million investment in the upstate/western New York area this year will bring the planned four-year territory investment total to more than $250 million.

    Part of the 2008 investment plan calls for more than 50 new cell sites in upstate.     Communication Intelligence Corporation Closes $3.6 Million Financing

    REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., June 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Communication Intelligence Corporation (the "Company") (BULLETIN BOARD: CICI) , a leading supplier of electronic signature solutions for business process automation in the financial industry and the recognized leader in biometric signature verification, announced today that it has closed a financing, on June 5, 2008, led by Phoenix Venture Fund LLC (the "Investor").

    As part of the financing, the Company borrowed a total of $3,637,500 million (the "Loan") from the Investor, which is a major shareholder of the Company, and two individuals (the "Additional Lenders"). The Company received net proceeds of $2,675,000 after financing related expenses of $325,000 and refinancing $600,000 of debt previously issued to the Additional Lenders, as well as an additional $37,500 in accrued and unpaid interest on such $600,000 through May 31, 2008 at 15% per annum. The Loan, which is secured by the assets of the Company and its subsidiary, CIC Acquisition Corp., bears interest at 8% per annum, payable quarterly in arrears in cash or in kind at the Company's option, and matures June 5, 2010. The Company also issued to the Investor and the Additional Lenders warrants to purchase 25,982,143 shares of the Company's common stock, which are exercisable at $0.14 per share at any time after the Company secures approval from its stockholders to increase the number of authorized shares of common stock (which approval is expected to be secured at the Company's upcoming annual meeting of stockholders to be held on June 30, 2008), until June 30, 2011.

    Contemporaneously with the closing of the Loan, the Company also issued 1,040,000 shares of Convertible Preferred Stock (the "Preferred Shares") in exchange for the cancellation of $995,000 of existing debt, as well as an additional $45,000 in accrued and unpaid interest thereon, held by several lenders, including one of the Additional Lenders and several entities related to that Additional Lender. Such cancelled debt was due in September and December of 2008 and carried interest at the rate of 15% per annum. The Preferred Shares are entitled to an 8% dividend per annum, payable quarterly in arrears in cash or in additional Preferred Shares at the Company's option and have a liquidation preference of $1.00 per share over common stock. The Preferred Shares are convertible into common stock at the conversion price of $0.14 per share any time after the Company secures approval from its stockholders to increase the number of authorized shares of common stock, which approval is expected to be secured at the Company's upcoming annual meeting of stockholders, to be held on June 30, 2008. If the Company is unable to secure such approval, it will be an event of default under the Loan, which would permit acceleration of the Loan, and the Company will be required to make a rescission offer to the holders of the Preferred Shares who upon acceptance of such offer, will receive a note identical to the original note exchange for the Preferred Shares.
