Tumbleweed's MailGate and Secure Messenger Earn Perfect Five-Star Ratings in SC Magazine Group Test ReviewsMailGate receives coveted 'Recommended' rating by SC Magazine's staff
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., June 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Tumbleweed(R) Communications Corp. , an industry leader in managed file transfer and email security, today announced that its Secure Messenger(TM) product received a 5-star rating in SC Magazine's Email Security Group test, and its MailGate(R) product received a "Recommended" rating in addition to its 5-star rating in SC Magazine's Email Content Management Group Test.
SC Magazine competitively tested various products in both the Email Security and Email Content Management Group Test for the June 2008 issue evaluating the products in six categories: features, ease of use, performance, documentation, support, and value for its money. Both MailGate and Secure Messenger products earned five out of five stars in each of the categories.
SC Magazine reviewers tested Tumbleweed's MailGate product, a comprehensive, high-performance email security solution in the Email Content Management Group Test, and found the appliance offers "solid email protection and management in one device," as well as "a solid content filter protecting from accidental data leakage." MailGate is also honored with the June "Recommended" rating by the SC Magazine review staff for being "quick out of the gate," and as a product that is "well worth your attention."
In addition, Tumbleweed's Secure Messenger, a policy-based, secure message delivery product, also achieved a 5-star rating in the Email Security Group Test. Secure Messenger's "powerful content and identity filtering capabilities and a multitude of standards-based encryption options will help support most organizations' administrative and policy needs," according to the article. SC Magazine specifically recognizes Tumbleweed's support portal site as "top notch," and also "represents a fantastic value given the feature set."
"The SC Magazine product reviews are consistent with what our customers have already been saying about our email security products -- time and again, they tell us that MailGate and Secure Messenger are exceptional products," said Jim Scullion, chief executive officer at Tumbleweed. "Our products help organizations conquer and move beyond traditional inbound protection, providing comprehensive content management capabilities that protect business-critical communications and prevent data loss. We are setting a new bar for email security."
Tumbleweed's email security products have been consistently recognized for excellence and performance. In November, Tumbleweed was positioned in the Leaders Quadrant of the Gartner "Magic Quadrant for Email Encryption, 2007."(1) According to the analyst firm, "leaders" are vendors who are performing well today, have a clear vision of the market direction, and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market. The report stated, "One growth trend in the e-mail encryption market has been through data loss prevention (DLP) projects. Companies that invested in DLP initially monitored traffic for policy violations or to understand how their businesses used sensitive data. However, as soon as companies turn to an enforcement mode, e-mail encryption becomes an important mechanism for allowing the transmit of sensitive data."

ATK Propulsion, Composite and Space Technologies Support Successful Launch of GLAST SatelliteATK Provides Critical Services and Subsystems for GLAST satellite
MINNEAPOLIS, June 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Alliant Techsystems propulsion and composite technologies supported the successful launch of the United Launch Alliance's Delta II Heavy rocket carrying NASA's GLAST (Gamma-ray Large Space Telescope) spacecraft with a mission to explore the most extreme environments in the Universe.
Nine GEM-46 solid propulsion strap-on boosters manufactured in ATK's Salt Lake City, Utah facility provided augmented thrust for the launch. ATK's Clearfield, Utah facility produced the composite cases for the GEM-46 boosters using an automated filament winding process developed and refined through its 40-year-heritage in composite manufacturing.
Six of the boosters ignited at lift-off with the first-stage main engine and provided over 850,000 pound maximum thrust for the launch vehicle. Just over one minute later, the remaining three boosters ignited to provide an additional 450,000 pound maximum thrust. The spent motors were jettisoned from the rocket as it continued its ascent.
ATK provided a variety of services to support the GLAST satellite. At Goddard Space Flight Center, ATK provided engineering support and lead areas of Thermal, Observatory Mechanical, Instrument System and Spacecraft Mechanical Engineer. NASA's General Dynamics-Built GLAST Satellite Launched Today
GILBERT, Ariz., June 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Gamma-ray Large Area Space Telescope (GLAST) observatory, designed and built by General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, was successfully launched today from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla. GLAST is a next-generation high-energy gamma-ray satellite designed to make observations of celestial gamma-ray sources. The mission is an astrophysics and particle physics partnership, developed in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy, along with important contributions from academic institutions and partners in France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Sweden.
As system integrator for the GLAST observatory, General Dynamics has been responsible for the design and manufacture of the spacecraft bus, integration of the government furnished instruments, full system testing and will conduct on-orbit checkout. Assembly of the spacecraft and payload integration took place at the General Dynamics space systems factory in Gilbert, Ariz. GLAST was launched onboard a United Launch Alliance Delta II 7920-H rocket. The NASA Launch Services Program at Kennedy Space Center was responsible for the countdown and launch management of the Delta II GLAST mission.
"GLAST represents another close collaboration between NASA and General Dynamics and continues our contribution to ground-breaking astrophysics," said Dave Shingledecker, vice president and general manager of integrated space systems, General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems.
http://www.micrel.com/ProductList.do.

services financiers et filiale de The Bank of New York Mellon, a annoncé
d'investissement >>, a déclaré Paul Cucurullo, directeur associé d'iX
Partners.
d'entretien. >>

21,000 Square Miles of 3G Network for Southern Californians On-the-GoYour personal 'fast lane' - Verizon Wireless expands 3G BroadbandAccess to more than 5,000 square miles in Riverside County
IRVINE, Calif., June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless has widened its 3G "fast lane" in Riverside County. The company's BroadbandAccess network now delivers mile after mile of high-speed performance for customers surfing the Internet, e-mailing large files and downloading songs or videos over-the-air, using 3G-capable phones and PC cards.
The expansion covers a wide area:
-- Southwest county -- throughout the communities around Lake Riverside
and the Cahuilla Indian Reservation and east toward Anza and north to
Thomas Mountain
-- Central county -- southeast of the Salton Sea State Recreation Area
from Desert Beach and north to Desert Camp, including portions of the
Salton Sea; south of Joshua Tree National Park near Cactus City and
east toward Chiriaco Summit, Hayfield and Desert Center; and north
from Desert Center to Lake Tamarisk Golf Club and Eagle Mountain
-- East county -- southeast of Midland to the Colorado River Indian
Reservation and south to Blythe, the Blythe Airport and Ripley
BroadbandAccess offers computer users the nation's most reliable high-speed wireless mobile broadband network, operating at average upload speeds between 500 and 800 kilobits per second, and download speeds between 600 kbps and 1.4 megabits per second over Verizon Wireless' Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) Revision A (Rev. A) network. This means customers with Rev. A-compatible devices can download a 1 Megabyte e-mail attachment -- the equivalent of a small PowerPoint(R) presentation or a large PDF file -- in about eight seconds and upload the same-sized file in less than 13 seconds. Today, the company's nationwide wireless broadband network has been enhanced to Rev. A technology.
The recent expansion adds to Verizon Wireless' $4.6 billion dollar investment in California since 2000. Nationwide the company has invested more than $45 billion since it was formed -- $5.5 billion on average every year -- to increase the coverage and capacity of its national wireless network and to add services like BroadbandAccess, V CAST, VZ Navigator(SM), and many more. V CAST brings video clips of TV shows, music on demand and other multimedia services to wireless phones.
Previously, BroadbandAccess coverage in Riverside County included:
-- From Norco east to Riverside, Moreno Valley, Beaumont and Banning
-- From Corona southeast to Perris, Lake Elsinore, San Jacinto, Hemet and
Temecula
-- From Cabazon east to Desert Hot Springs and southeast to Palm Springs,
Rancho Mirage, La Quinta and the communities around the northwest
portion of the Salton Sea
Other examples of company leadership include being first to offer nationwide plans with unlimited calling and the only provider to offer a 30-day network Test Drive pledge that pays for calls if a customer isn't satisfied and switches to another carrier.
Verizon Wireless' reputation as the nation's most reliable wireless network is supported by industry-leading redundancy and maintenance measures. This has proven particularly valuable during natural disasters and other emergencies across the country. Standard Verizon Wireless network-reliability features include battery back-up power at all facilities as well as generators installed at all switching facilities and many cell site locations.

New High-Tech Service Shields Homes from WildfiresGelTech Solutions Reaches Exclusive Long-Term Distribution Agreement with Fire-Pro USAFire-Pro to Distribute FireIce(R) to Fire Departments, Property Owners, and Insurance Companies
JUPITER, Fla., June 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- GelTech Solutions, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: GLTC) announced today that it entered into a long-term exclusive Distribution Agreement with Fire-Pro USA, a leading distributor of products to prevent fires, including wildfires, from destroying people and property. Fire-Pro was granted exclusive distribution rights for San Diego County, California and non-exclusive rights in other counties where exclusive rights have not been granted. To maintain exclusivity, Fire-Pro is required to meet annual sales requirements. GelTech has shipped its initial order to Fire- Pro and to another customer in California.
Homeowners now can protect their property from potentially devastating wildfires, thanks to two companies that combine high technology with firefighting experience. GelTech Solutions, Inc. has teamed with Fire-Pro USA to save residences from brushfires and natural infernos. This affordable new service is available initially in Southern California, just as Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has warned of drought-related flammable conditions.
GelTech's new product, FireIce(R), is a revolutionary fire-suppression product -- a fine powder that simply mixes with water. This yields an environmentally friendly gel that quickly extinguishes fires and stops them from reigniting. When applied to houses and other buildings as flames approach, FireIce protects your property.
Fire-Pro USA's force of professionally trained firefighters stays ahead of advancing flames by treating customers' homes and property with FireIce(R).
"We don't try to extinguish fires; we make structures and vegetation fire-retardant," said Don Green, founder of San Diego-based Fire-Pro, himself a firefighter with 32 years of service. "Traditional fire departments wait for the fire, and then use water to fight flames. We pre-empt destruction by applying FireIce(R) gel to homes and surrounding property, so the flames, embers, and heat never ignite them."
Added Green, "We're excited to be the first company to offer FireIce(R) in Southern California, often plagued by catastrophic blazes. Having researched and tested other gels on the market, FireIce(R) is the most environmentally friendly, reliable, and effective retardant available."
Once fires have passed, homeowners and fire fighters can easily and safely wash off FireIce(R) with water.
"We are thrilled with our partnership with Fire-Pro," said Michael Cordani, Chairman and CEO of Jupiter, Florida-based GelTech Solutions. "Between their decades of hands-on firefighting and our FireIce(R), which stops flames cold, we all are eager to help property owners prevent fire damage, rather than just wait to confront fire."

Lockheed Martin Completes Major Hardware Integration Milestone on Second Advanced EHF Satellite
SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockheed Martin announced today that it has successfully mated the spacecraft core structure and the payload module for the second Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) military communications satellite.
The U.S. Air Force's AEHF system will provide global, highly secure, protected, survivable communications for all warfighters serving under the U.S. Department of Defense.
Based on Lockheed Martin's flight-proven A2100 geosynchronous spacecraft series the AEHF core structure contains the integrated propulsion system as well as panels and other components that serve as the structural foundation of the satellite.
The payload module consists of the complete set of processing, routing and control hardware and software that perform the satellite's communications function, including critical features to protect the communications against interception or jamming threats.
With the successful mate of the second AEHF satellite, the team of Lockheed Martin Space Systems, Sunnyvale, Calif., the Advanced EHF prime contractor, and Northrop Grumman Space Technology, Redondo Beach, Calif., the payload supplier, will begin system level environmental and acceptance testing of the fully integrated space vehicle in preparation for launch in early 2010.
"This marks a major event toward the delivery of this critical national security program," said Leonard Kwiatkowski, Lockheed Martin vice president and general manager of Global Communications Systems. "AEHF will speed the flow of information to the warfighter, delivering protected satellite communications with assured connectivity and we look forward to achieving mission success for our customer."
One AEHF satellite will provide greater total capacity than the entire Milstar constellation currently on-orbit. Individual user data rates will be five times improved. The higher data rates will permit transmission of tactical military communications, such as real-time video, battlefield maps and targeting data. In addition to its tactical mission, AEHF will also provide the critical survivable, protected, and endurable communications to the National Command Authority including presidential conferencing in all levels of conflict.
Lockheed Martin is currently under contract to provide three Advanced EHF satellites and the Mission Control Segment to its customer, the Military Satellite Communications Systems Wing, located at the Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif. The program is in the early stages of adding a fourth spacecraft to the planned constellation.
Headquartered in Bethesda, Md., Lockheed Martin employs about 140,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services. The Corporation reported 2007 sales of $41.9 billion.

GENEVA, June 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- STMicroelectronics , a world leader in MEMS products, has announced a new 3D orientation sensor, the company's initial offering in a significant new family of MEMS functional sensors that consolidates multiple conventional sensor functions in an easy-to-use surface-mount package. The new FC30 device embeds both 3D orientation functionality and click/double-click detection allowing developers to integrate mouse-button controls.
"The FC30 is the first product in a new family of functional sensors, a turn-key solution that allows our customers to simplify system complexity and reduce the processing overhead on the system microcontroller," said Benedetto Vigna, General Manager of ST's MEMS And Healthcare, RF and Sensor Division.
The FC30 is a 14-pin LGA device measuring 3 x 5 x 0.9mm, imposing a small footprint and low integration effort with no extra programming required. New York Power Authority Selects UTC Power to Supply Fuel Cells for World Trade Center Site
NEW YORK, June 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- UTC Power, a United Technologies Corp. company, today announced that the New York Power Authority (NYPA) selected the company to supply 12 fuel cells totaling 4.8 megawatts of power for the Freedom Tower and three other new towers under construction at the World Trade Center site in lower Manhattan.
Delivery of the PureCell(R) Model 400 fuel cell systems will begin in January of 2009. The systems will together constitute one of the largest fuel cell installations in the world.
"We are extremely pleased to be part of this prestigious, landmark project that is a global example of green building design," said UTC Power President Jan van Dokkum. "NYPA has been a long-time customer and champion of using fuel cells to generate clean on-site power. UTC Power has 16 fuel cells deployed in the Greater New York area with NYPA and other customers."
"We are committed to helping make clean energy initiatives at the new World Trade Center site a reality," said Roger B. Kelley, NYPA president and chief executive officer. "Fuel cells are one of the environmentally beneficial technologies that the Power Authority is investing in under Governor Paterson's leadership to combat greenhouse gas emissions and diversify the state's energy mix."
The Freedom Tower will be owned by the Port Authority of New York, and Towers 2, 3 and 4 will be owned and managed by World Trade Center Properties, LLC, an affiliate of Silverstein Properties, Inc.
The PureCell Model 400 power plant is one of the cleanest, quietest and most energy-efficient on-site power generating technologies available; no fossil fuel is burned to produce 400 kilowatts of power. The fuel cell's ultra low emissions meet the strictest air emissions requirements in the United States.
UTC Power said this new model fuel cell has double the operating life and delivers twice the power and thermal energy of its predecessor system.
"We've gained a lot of experience over 15-plus years of building and deploying fuel cells for on-site power at diverse sites worldwide," said van Dokkum. "We expect this next-generation fuel cell to be embraced by commercial customers who want to improve their energy productivity while simultaneously enhancing their electrical infrastructure reliability and reducing their environmental impact."
The thermal energy generated by fuel cells -- a natural byproduct of a fuel cell's electro-chemical process -- will be harnessed to provide facility cooling and heating at the World Trade Center site towers, reducing the customers' power needs and expenses. Incorporating fuel cells into the World Trade Center will contribute toward the attainment of LEED(R) (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification points because of the optimal energy use. In 2006, it was announced the complex would be designed to achieve the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED Gold certification requirements and that all of the facilities involved would be built to a design standard 20 percent more energy efficient than the New York Energy Conservation Construction Code.
On-site power generation at the World Trade Center site also will help reduce the need for electric infrastructure upgrades in an area of the city where the grid is already capacity-constrained.
UTC Power, a United Technologies Corp. company, is a full-service provider of environmentally responsible power solutions. With 50 years of experience, UTC Power is the world leader in developing and producing fuel cells for on-site power, transportation, space and defense applications, as well as a leader in innovative, renewable energy solutions and combined cooling, heating and power solutions for the distributed energy market.

McDonald's Served Over 295 Million Online Display Ads in March, According to comScore Ad MetrixMcDonald's Ranks as Heaviest U.S. Online Display Advertiser among Quick Serve Restaurants
RESTON, Va., June 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- comScore, Inc. , a leader in measuring the digital world, today released a study based on data from the comScore Ad Metrix service that analyzes online display advertising by quick-serve restaurants (QSRs) in March 2008, revealing that McDonald's ranked as the top online display advertiser in the United States with more than 295 million ads delivered during the month.
(Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20080115/COMSCORELOGO)
comScore Ad Metrix provides detailed reporting of the number and types of online display ads viewed by Internet users for the U.S. market. The syndicated service measures the number of times each advertiser's ads are viewed and where they are viewed, the demographics of those exposed to the ads, the reach and frequency of an advertiser's campaign, and provides samples of the creative ad units with information on ad sizes.
McDonald's Captures 34 Percent Share of Voice among Top 10 QSR Advertisers
McDonald's delivered more than 295 million display ad views (34 percent share of voice) in March, reaching 52 million Internet users an average of 5.7 times during the month. Quizno's ranked second with 11.1 percent share of voice, followed by KFC (9.6 percent) and Papa John's (9.3 percent).

Pizza Hut's Share of Site Visits Outpaces Online Advertising
To provide some dimension to the share of voice ranking, the study also looked at the share of visits to the Web sites of each of the top 10 restaurant companies to see if there is any relationship with the share of voice. It appears that there is little relation between the two metrics, since site traffic seems to be more heavily influenced by televised promotions and online ordering functionality at a few of the companies. For example, PizzaHut.com, whose online advertisements promote online ordering for home delivery or in-store pick up, has a disproportionately high share of site traffic (23.3 percent) relative to its share of online advertising voice (6.8 percent).

Online Represents Substantial Opportunity for QSR Advertisers Despite McDonald's position as one of the top U.S. advertisers (#16 in 2006, according to Ad Age), in terms of overall dollars spent on advertising, the company ranked just #113 in terms of the total number of online display ads delivered in March 2008, according to comScore Ad Metrix.
"It's clear that that the quick-serve restaurant industry has been slower than many other industries to move its advertising dollars online," said comScore Chairman Gian Fulgoni. "But, given the Internet's broad reach and ability to selectively reach consumer segments, its potential as a brand-building advertising medium is beginning to attract more attention. The reality is that while most working Americans do not watch TV during the day and therefore cannot be reached via this medium, many do use computers during this daypart. For the working population, online advertising is a highly effective way to put one's QSR brand top of mind with the consumer in the hours and minutes before they decide where to eat lunch."

CIBER and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission Complete Third and Final Phase of $58 Million IT Project on Time and on Budget
HARRISBURG, Pa., June 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CIBER, Inc. , in partnership with the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC), has successfully completed the third and final phase of a three-phase implementation of an SAP(R) ERP application -- on time and on budget -- for PTC. The $58 million project, which was awarded to CIBER in May 2006, was undertaken to transform PTC's information technology (IT) systems into a single, integrated, and state-of-the-art system to increase its ability to plan, conduct business, and react more efficiently to the needs of its customers.
(Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20010927/CBRLOGO)
"PTC is truly an innovation leader, within and beyond the public sector," said Patrick Bakey, President, SAP Public Services, Inc., based in Washington D.C. "Clearly, the collaboration between SAP, PTC and CIBER was essential in deploying this project on time and on budget to demonstrate how innovation and technology can efficiently deliver high-quality services to PTC's constituents."
PTC's prior IT system comprised multiple disparate computing systems which relied on outdated technology and which operated as stand-alone systems, essentially separating important pieces of historical and operational data across many platforms, and making trend analysis and decision-making difficult and time-consuming.
With the completion of this project, nicknamed PRIDE (PTC Readiness for an Integrated Decision-making Enterprise), PTC will benefit from streamlined and standardized administrative and financial processes; expanded financial reporting and analysis capabilities; elimination of multiple, disparate information systems; elimination of redundant activities; centralized operational and historical data for trend analysis; and integration of secure internet technology to provide data access to employees, retirees, and fiduciaries.
"We are pleased to have achieved the integration of our systems we envisioned more than two years ago," said George Hatalowich, PTC's Chief Operating Officer. "We are beginning to see the business process improvements that the SAP applications and inherent business best practices have allowed us to take advantage of, and we recognize that our business efficiencies will be realized over many years to come. We appreciate all of the hard work that has gone into making this project a success, especially the leadership CIBER has committed throughout the project."
For all phases of the PRIDE project, CIBER -- an SAP services partner for SAP Public Services, Inc. accounts -- has served as the prime contractor. The first phase was completed 30 days ahead of schedule in February 2007. The second phase was completed in December 2007, also on time and on budget.
For this third and final phase, CIBER has integrated the business functions of the SAP ERP Financials solution, materials management, SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SAP SRM), plant maintenance, project systems, electronic document management and business intelligence applications.
"Teamwork has been the key to the success of the PRIDE Project," said Jeff Mesaric, PTC Chief Information Officer. "CIBER and PTC project team members consistently overcame the challenges that were before them to enable a successful go live for finance and logistics. With finance and logistics now in production along with our previously implemented human capital management and payroll functionality, PTC now has the fully integrated system that we have been anticipating."
"A great deal of work has been completed by PTC and CIBER over the last two years. This could not have been accomplished without both parties being focused on one goal of an integrated system. With this project launch, the goal has been achieved," said Dave Siebert, Senior Vice President of CIBER's Enterprise Solutions Division.
PTC employs approximately 2,300 people and earns $580 million annually in toll revenue. It operates a critical transportation route, which accommodates more than 500,000 vehicles per day, and includes 537 miles of turnpike, 59 fare collection facilities, 21 maintenance facilities, five twin tunnels, ten State Police barracks, 19 service plazas, and two traveler information centers.
