DCML LLC Issues Open Letter to Shareholders of Danka Business Services PLC (OTC BB: DANKY)

NEW YORK, June 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The following is a letter from DCML LLC to shareholders of Danka Business Services PLC (BULLETIN BOARD: DANKY) .

    Fellow Danka Shareholders:

We were disappointed to learn that the Board of Directors (the "Board") of Danka Business Services PLC (the "Company") has taken questionable actions to influence the outcome of the upcoming shareholder vote.

First, the Voting Instructions of the Proxy have specified that the Company's designee is permitted to vote the American Depositary Shares ("ADS") of any holder that does not submit a vote by June 20 (1). We believe it is inappropriate to hijack the voting power of such shares, particularly when the interests of the Company's designee may not be aligned with ordinary shareholders. Excluding Cypress shareholders, the Board collectively holds less than 0.45% of total ordinary shares outstanding (2). In view of that fact, one might question whether the interests of any Company are aligned with the interests of ordinary shareholders in these contested circumstances? Therefore, it is our opinion, that the Company should abstain from voting any otherwise unvoted ADS. Shareholders should be able to decide for themselves whether this transaction is or is not fair to them.

Second, and much more troubling, it appears that the Company has taken steps to prevent the holders of ADS from exercising their voting rights. The final proxy designated an ADS record date of May 30, thus only ADS purchased before that date could be voted at the Extraordinary General Meeting. However, ADS's are typically convertible to ordinary shares in a commonly understood and often utilized administrative process. Further, ordinary shares under the proxy can be acquired and voted up to the meeting date. Thus, under normal circumstances, a shareholder could buy ADS after the record date, convert those shares to ordinary share certificates, and then properly vote them under the terms of the final proxy.

We believe, that to undermine this procedure and prevent shareholders opposed to liquidation from accumulating additional voting shares, the Company has instructed its Transfer Agent, Computershare Services UK, as of June 3, to freeze the issuance of ordinary share certificates until after the Extraordinary General Meeting. We have difficulty understanding why the Company would choose to freeze the issuance of ordinary share certificates. Certainly the timing of this decision makes us believe that either Company management or the Board is inappropriately using their authority to influence the shareholders vote.

We believe that the Board owes its ordinary shareholders a prompt and thorough justification for these recent actions.

As a shareholder representing over 5,300,000 ADS or more than 8.0% of ordinary shares outstanding, DCML will be voting against the proposed voluntary liquidation.

We urge you to conduct your own review and cast your own vote. Respectfully, Robert Andrade Rosty Raykov (1) May 30 Proxy, voting instructions (2) May 30 Proxy, p.70

Air Methods Deploys State-of-the-Art Dispatch Center Using Siemens Unified Communications SolutionUnique Telephony and Radio Solution Improves Response Time and Facilitates Growth

BOCA RATON, Fla., June 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Siemens Communications, Inc., in partnership with Windstream Communications, recently provided Air Methods a unique unified communications solution that addresses its radio and telephony needs now and into the future. Siemens and Windstream developed a solution that would not only address Air Methods' needs for a new radio solution but also build a scalable unified communications solution to benefit all areas of the business.

    (Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20070904/SIEMENSLOGO )

Air Methods is the nation's largest provider of air medical emergency transport services and systems. With 28 years of experience, the company transports more than 98,000 patients annually on its fleet of more than 340 helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft in 42 states. In mid-2007, Air Methods issued an RFP to architect a more sophisticated, easy-to-use dispatch center to enhance business operations. The company wanted a new, robust console that would be compatible with its existing voice and data systems, including the voice logging recorder they intended to keep in service.

With Siemens' HiPath 4000(R) real-time IP communications system and HiPath ProCenter(R) as the backbone, the solution treats radio calls as telephony, so both types of calls can be routed from a single console. This will streamline the company's communications and simplify its radio infrastructure, as well as make it easy to integrate multiple locations and future potential acquisitions.

"Siemens and Windstream crafted a solution that met our expectations to deliver a truly unique offering that integrated our radio and telephony needs," said Curtis Morice, director of LifeCom, Air Methods' national communications center. "This solution transformed our overall communications infrastructure, making it much easier to manage, saving us time and allowing us to respond more efficiently to calls."

The Siemens solution also provides Air Methods with a greater level of redundancy, offering more assurance that their communications systems are always functional. Ongoing support from Windstream will also help ensure that Air Methods' rollout will proceed smoothly.

"Windstream and Siemens collaborated to design a creative solution that addressed Air Methods' unique needs," said Cheryl Krueger, Area Vice President, Business, for Windstream. "I'm happy to say this was one of the best teams I've been a part of."

"This solution exemplifies the ideal of open communications - it transforms the way Air Methods manages it communications and combines radio and telephony needs in a way no one else can do," said Shawn Puddester, U.S. Director of Channel Sales and Development for Siemens Communications, Inc. "Working closely with Windstream, we have been able to deliver a truly superior solution that will keep Air Methods' national communications center state-of-the-art for years to come."

NEWTON, Mass., June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- TripAdvisor(R), the world's largest travel community, today announced the results of its travel insurance survey of more than 3,700 travelers worldwide. Two-thirds of worldwide respondents and 60 percent of U.S. respondents have purchased travel insurance. About one half of those surveyed (51 percent) said the number one reason for purchasing travel insurance is for peace of mind.

Sixty-five percent of global respondents and 50 percent of U.S. respondents are most likely to purchase single-trip travel insurance. Harris Corporation Breaks Ground for New Facility in the United Kingdom

    WINNERSH, England, June 16 /PRNewswire/ --

Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS), an international communications and information technology company, today broke ground on a new facility in Winnersh, UK, that will support the company's continued expansion into European, Middle Eastern and African (EMEA) markets.

The new, 72,000-square-foot (6,690-square-meter) facility will serve as the headquarters for EMEA operations for the Harris Broadcast and Harris RF Communications businesses, and will provide a centralized location for Harris corporate functions in the UK. On-site activities will include in-region product development, customer briefings and demonstrations, and business development and general office functions.

"This groundbreaking underscores our commitment to expanding the Harris presence and reach in the EMEA markets, and reflects the excellent partnership that we have enjoyed with this community for many years," said Howard Lance, chairman, president and CEO of Harris. Harris also is a world leader in broadcast systems for radio and television and is a key player in the global build-out of high-definition infrastructure systems. When complete, the new building will provide additional room for our anticipated growth -- something that we expect will also benefit the Winnersh community."

Harris will be the anchor tenant in the redesigned Winnersh Triangle corporate park, which is being developed by SEGRO with an environmentally friendly design. All buildings will have a 'very good' Building Research Establishment Energy Assessment Method (BREEAM) rating, with carbon emissions approximately 50 percent below those of a standard office. Other sustainable features will include high-performance glass and sun-shading techniques to minimize solar heat gain; a chilled beam system that cools water for air conditioning with 20 percent less carbon emissions than traditional cooling systems; and numerous other energy efficient features. "We are very pleased with our decision to work with SEGRO on their redevelopment scheme for the estate and re-establishing our facilities in one of their new buildings. We are excited by the fresh, modern re-design plans for the estate, in particular the superb architectural and sustainability aspects of the buildings. We look forward to our continued successful relationship with SEGRO and seeing our new UK home come to fruition."

Hughes Introduces Mobility Enhancements for HX SystemNew HX features facilitate satellite delivery of mobile broadband services on land, sea, and in the air

GERMANTOWN, Md., June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Hughes Network Systems, LLC, (HUGHES), the world's leading provider of broadband satellite networks and services, today announced the introduction of enhanced capabilities for its innovative HX System that facilitate Ku-band satellite delivery of mobile broadband services on vehicles, ships, trains, and planes.

"People on the go demand to stay connected-wherever they may be," said Bahram Pourmand, executive vice president of Hughes. "Our new HX System enhancements make it easy for integrators to deliver mobile broadband services virtually anywhere on land, sea, or in the air, using Ku-band satellites available around the globe."

The new capabilities leverage the innovative and compact HX broadband satellite system to satisfy key mobility-specific requirements.

-- Inbound Channel Spreading: A key challenge of mobility is to use the smallest possible antenna while still meeting all relevant FCC and ITU regulations. The new HX System meets this challenge by spreading the inbound channel by a factor of two to four times the symbol rate, thereby reducing the power density of transmissions significantly. This enables the use of very small antennas, which are lower in cost and are more easily installed on vessels and vehicles. -- Doppler Compensation: Broadband access for passengers traveling at high rates of speed on trains or planes is often compromised due to a Doppler Shift of the RF signal. The enhanced HX System compensates for this Doppler Shift, enabling passengers to surf the Internet at high speed even when they're moving at high speed. -- NMEA Antenna Interface: A key requirement for maritime applications is the capability to continually track the location of a mobile satellite station. The HX enhancements include an NMEA interface which offers easy integration with a ship's GPS system. This enables ships to meet FCC and ITU regulations which require earth stations on maritime vessels to maintain a record of the vessel's location. -- Rapid Blockage Recovery and Persistent IP Connection: A key challenge of mobility is that service can be briefly interrupted by trees, overpasses, and tunnels. Hughes has developed persistent IP connection capability in the HX System that maintains the IP link when the satellite link is lost for a short duration, ensuring customers do not have to restart their sessions after service is restored.

To learn more about the HX System, visit http://www.hughes.com/ or email globalsales@hns.com.

CCID Consulting: Sales Volume & Sales Revenue of China's Smart Cards Drop in

    2008

BEIJING, June 13 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- CCID Consulting, China's leading research, consulting and IT outsourcing service provider, and the first Chinese consulting firm listed in Hong Kong (Hong Kong Stock Exchange: HK08235), recently released its article on China's smart cards market in 2008Q1.

    Applications Saturates, Whole Market Shrinks

The sales volume of China's smart card market reaches 250 million sets and the sales revenue reaches 1.32 billion Yuan in 2008Q1, a mild decrease compared to 2007Q1. Although the shipment of mobile communication cards has experienced some increase compared to 2007Q1, with the ID card market becoming mature, smart card market in the field of ID card shrinks, which affect the development of the whole market.

The sales volume of China's mobile communication cards in 2008Q1 increases 12.5% over 2007Q1. The major impetus is changing card of China's huge mobile phone users and monthly enormous new users. Compared with 2007Q1, mobile communication card's capability upgrades; card's single price is higher than the price in last year. Therefore, the sales revenue of mobile communications card in 2008Q1 has larger growth than 2007Q1.

As product structure, China's smart cards' major application market is ccupied by mobile communication cards with CPU cards as the major medium in long-term. CPU cards occupy the major market share in 2008Q1, whose market share is 74.2%. And this structure is not likely to undergo changes in short- term. With the decrease of the shipment of memory card ID card, CPU cards' market share will pick up. As for sales revenue, CPU card market exceeds memory card. The major reason is the decrease of the shipment of memory cards.

http://www.ccidconsulting.com/upload/13239.jpg Source: CCID Consulting, April 2008 Mobile Communication Card Product Restructure

In 2008Q1, as for mobile communication card structure, GSM data business has absolute advantage in China Mobile communication business, and SIM cards applied in G network are still the principal part of mobile communication cards. In 2008Q1, the shipment of card reaches 155 million, which has little growth over 2007Q1. The shipment of UIM cards applied in C network is steady, whose market share keeps same level with 2007Q1; PIM cards which are applied in PHS is still difficult to gloze its atrophic trend, whose market share continues to decrease. In 2008Q1, the obvious change in product structure is the appearance of USIM cards which are applied in 3G network. Because China's 3G network is still in probation period and there are only eight cities which begin to provide 3G network service, although the shipment of USIM card is small, it breaks through the old product structure of China Mobile communication cards.

http://www.ccidconsulting.com/upload/13240.jpg Source: CCID Consulting, April 2008

Ten Major Manufacturers Command the Market, with Mobile Communication Cards Playing an Important Role

Currently, there are only two foreign manufacturers - Gemalto and Giesecke & Devrient in China's top ten manufacturers in the smart card market. With the local manufacturers' growth, these two manufacturers' market shares will shrink. In 2008Q1 smart cards' brand structure, the top ten smart card manufacturers' shipments account for 90% of the total market. In the smart card market with furious competition, other manufacturers are difficult to return major manufacturers list.

http://www.ccidconsulting.com/upload/13241.jpg Source: CCID Consulting, April 2008

In 2008Q1, the sales volume and sales revenue of Gemalto still occupy first; the next is Eastcom Peace; the third one is DaTang; the fourth one is WatchData; the fifth one is Giesecke & Devrient. The top ten manufacturers are the mobile communication cards' suppliers. Although the profit of mobile communication card is lower, the income which its great sales volume brings could affect its ranking. As mobile communication cards' supplier, mobile carriers' purchases play important role in China's card manufacturers.

AT&T is introducing U-verse services in Nevada as a result of the passage of Assembly Bill 526 and the leadership from Assembly Speaker Barbara Buckley, Senate Majority Leader Bill Raggio, Assembly Commerce and Labor Chairman and Assembly Majority Leader John Ocegeura, and Senate Commerce and Labor Chairman Randolph Townsend. Assembly Bill 526 signed by Gov. Jim Gibbons provides an environment that encourages new video providers, such as AT&T, to invest in Nevada to compete against incumbent cable providers.

    Quad-Play Integration With AT&T U-verse Voice

U-verse Voice is a next-generation digital voice service that brings more control and functionality to your home phone. Unlike many Voice over IP (VoIP) providers that offer best-effort digital phone services over the public Internet, U-verse Voice is a managed IP-based service that is delivered over AT&T's fiber-rich network. This allows U-verse Voice customers to enjoy great sound quality and reliability, as well as unmatched calling features that combine with your AT&T U-verse TV, broadband and AT&T wireless services, including:

-- Combined AT&T U-verse Voice and AT&T wireless voice mail with U-verse Messaging, which provides a single voice mailbox that can be accessed from any phone line or PC. -- U-verse Central, an online management portal that gives you the option to easily and conveniently manage your call preferences, voice mail, contacts, call history and more from any PC, in addition to the ability to control call preferences from your home phone. -- An online voice mailbox to check, manage and forward voice mail from the online portal, much like an e-mail inbox. -- Call History, which enables you to view your most recent incoming and outgoing calls online or to view your most recent incoming calls on your AT&T U-verse TV screen. -- Click to Call, which will initiate a call from your home phone to any number in your Call History with one click of a mouse or the U-verse TV remote control. -- An online Address Book that is accessible from any PC and allows you to Click to Call from your home phone, to create and share contact groups with other U-verse Voice customers or to set up distribution lists for voice messages. -- Locate Me, a feature that provides simultaneous ringing on up to four wireless or landline numbers so you never miss an important incoming call. -- Traditional calling features, such as Call Screening, Call Blocking, Do Not Disturb and privacy settings.

All U-verse Voice customers will have 911 service. Where available via the local 911 network, U-verse Voice customers will have Enhanced 911 (E911) service.

U-verse TV customers can choose from two flexible U-verse Voice calling plans. U-verse Voice Unlimited includes unlimited local and nationwide minutes to any location in the U.S., Canada or U.S. territories for $40 a month, and U-verse Voice 1000 includes 1,000 Call Anywhere minutes to any location in the U.S. or U.S. territories for $30 a month. A second phone line, which shares the primary line's calling plan, can be added for $20 a month, and each plan features competitive international rates with no recurring monthly charge.

AT&T's wireless customers who subscribe to an AT&T Unity(SM) plan can call any AT&T U-verse Voice number from their mobile phone as part of the nation's largest free calling community without using any wireless Anytime Minutes.

Verizon Wireless Expands Wireless Broadband Network in Ohio to Portions of Crawford, OhioHigh-Speed Network Gives Verizon Wireless Customers Access to Fast Wireless Internet, Email, Mobile Music, Videos and More

BUCYRUS, Ohio, June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless announced today that it has expanded the national rollout of its high-speed wireless network to portions of Crawford County including the neighboring communities of Bucyrus, Vernon Township and Galion, and along State Route 30 from Bucyrus east to Galion.

"Ohio is home to many vital markets with dynamic, tech-savvy business people, students, visitors and residents who want to stay connected," said Roger Tang, president-Ohio/Pennsylvania/West Virginia Region, Verizon Wireless. "The launch of our broadband network in these communities provides our customers with access to the very latest wireless technology."

With the wireless broadband network now available, Verizon Wireless customers in the area can enjoy two prime services:

-- BroadbandAccess, the enhanced high-speed wireless service that equips Verizon Wireless' business customers with a truly untethered mobile office experience, enabling them to wirelessly access their calendars, the Internet, email and critical business information residing behind their companies' firewalls; and -- V CAST, a consumer-oriented multimedia service that gives customers access to the most comprehensive selection of downloadable music, high-quality videos and the coolest 3D games found anywhere. BroadbandAccess

Based on Evolution-Data Optimized Revision A (EV-DO Rev. A) network technology, BroadbandAccess provides mobile workers with the ability to access their corporate information as if they were attached to this data via a high-speed wired connection but with the freedom of true mobility. Developed with a range of users in mind, the service enables large enterprises, small to medium-sized businesses and mobile professionals to conduct business anytime, anywhere in the BroadbandAccess coverage area via a secure, true high-speed data connection.

With BroadbandAccess, business customers, residents and visitors to these communities can expect average download speeds of 600 kilobits per second (kbps) to 1.4 megabits per second and average upload speeds of 500 kbps to 800 kbps. That means they can download a 1 megabyte email attachment-the equivalent of a small PowerPoint(R) presentation or a large PDF file-in about eight seconds and upload the same-sized file in less than 13 seconds.

BroadbandAccess also enables Verizon Wireless customers to download files approximately 10 times faster than customers of wireless service providers that use different broadly deployed network technologies. Furthermore, customers who travel outside the enhanced BroadbandAccess coverage area with an EV-DO device will switch seamlessly to the company's NationalAccess service.

"Our enhanced BroadbandAccess service gives our customers three key advantages in wireless communication-speed, mobility and security," Tang said. "With these advantages comes an increase in productivity and bottom-line business benefits."

    V CAST: Video and Music

The company's wireless broadband network also enables its V CAST multimedia services, which offer customers the ability to download full-song tracks, play cutting-edge 3D games and stream video clips straight to the handset with top transmission speeds. With content updated daily, customers can watch dozens of on-demand videos, including breaking news, weather updates, sports highlights and the hottest entertainment clips.

With V CAST Music, Verizon Wireless has built a massive full-song mobile music store that contains more than 2.8 million songs-from well-known as well as independent artists-that customers can download over-the-air, directly onto their V CAST Music-enabled wireless phones.

    Investment

The multi-million dollar expansion includes the installation of high-tech wireless hardware and software in wireless transmission sites throughout the region. Verizon Wireless has invested more than $45 billion since it was formed-$5.5 billion on average every year-to increase the coverage and capacity of its national network and to add new services. Last year, the company invested nearly $190 million in its Ohio network improvements. Verizon Wireless was the first national wireless provider to commercially launch a high-speed wireless broadband network in the United States. These communities in Ohio are the latest market to be added to the coverage.
