Jinpan International Commences Operations at Secondary Manufacturing Facility
ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., July 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jinpan International Ltd. , a leading designer, manufacturer, and distributor of cast resin transformers for power distribution, today announced that its 267,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Wuhan, China is now operational.
Construction of the Wuhan facility was completed in the middle of May 2008 and the Company began operations in the middle of June 2008. This facility will produce cast resin transformers for the China market.
Mr. Zhiyuan Li, Chief Executive Officer of Jinpan commented, "We are very happy to have our second manufacturing facility up and running. With this new facility, we expect our total annual production capacity to reach approximately 9 million KVA by the beginning of 2009, a 50% increase over the 6 million KVA capacity that we had prior to the completion of this facility. Wuhan is located in central China and this new facility is closer to our material suppliers and provides easy access to the highway and railroad. Additionally, this new facility in Wuhan has been built in an Economic Development Zone ("EDZ") where we will enjoy preferential tax treatment as a result of our facility being situated in an EDZ. This facility will not be subject to corporate income tax in 2008 and 2009 and from 2010 to 2012, the corporate income tax applicable to this facility will be half of the prevailing rate of 25%. We are pleased to see continued demand for our transformers and continue to focus on meeting the rising demand for our products both in China and internationally."

Agilysys Waiting on Audited Financial Statements of Magirus-- Form 10-K delayed until Magirus audit complete-- Company receives NASDAQ Staff Determination Letter
BOCA RATON, Fla., July 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Agilysys, Inc. today announced that, on July 3, 2008, the company received a NASDAQ staff determination letter stating the company's shares are subject to potential delisting. The potential delisting is related to Agilysys' delay in filing its Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2008 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), as required by Marketplace Rule 4310(c)(14).

The delay in filing the Form 10-K is due to Agilysys waiting on audited financial statements for its investment in a foreign entity. As previously announced on June 2, 2008, in the company's fourth quarter earnings release, Agilysys recorded material other income of $8.9 million during fiscal year 2008 resulting from its 20% ownership interest in Magirus AG, a privately held enterprise computer systems distributor headquartered in Germany. Due to the materiality of Magirus to Agilysys' financial statements in fiscal 2008, Agilysys requires audited confirmation of Magirus income and SEC rules require audited financial statements related to Magirus to be filed with the company's Form 10-K. Agilysys expects to be in a position to file its Form 10-K within 60 days.
Agilysys will submit a request for a hearing before the NASDAQ Listing Qualifications Panel to appeal NASDAQ's determination. The request for a hearing will automatically stay the delisting of the company's common shares until the Panel makes its decision.

Abbott Begins Post-Approval Study of XIENCE V(TM) Drug Eluting StentXIENCE V USA Study to Evaluate Treatment of Coronary Artery Disease Patients in Real-World Setting
ABBOTT PARK, Ill., July 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Abbott today announced the start of the XIENCE V(TM) USA post-approval study, with six hospital centers already recruiting and enrolling patients just one week after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the XIENCE V(TM) Everolimus Eluting Coronary Stent System. The XIENCE V USA study will evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the XIENCE V drug eluting stent in a real-world clinical setting out to five years. Jack Jones, M.D., interventional cardiologist and medical director of the Stormont-Vail Catheterization Lab in Topeka, Kan., was one of the first physicians to enroll a patient into the study.
"XIENCE V is an important innovation that gives patients in the United States access to a next-generation drug eluting stent that has been shown in clinical trials to improve patient outcomes," said Dr. Jones. "During the stent procedure, we found it easy to deliver XIENCE V to the diseased portion of the vessel. With its combination of clinical efficacy and deliverability, I believe that XIENCE V will become a key advancement in the treatment of coronary artery disease."
The XIENCE V USA study is designed to evaluate at least 5,000 coronary artery disease patients treated with the XIENCE V drug eluting stent at approximately 250 centers across the United States. The primary endpoint of XIENCE V USA is a measure of stent thrombosis (formation of blood clots) every year out to five years, as defined by the Dublin/Academic Research Consortium (ARC). The ARC definition of late stent thrombosis was developed to eliminate variability in the definitions across various drug eluting stent trials.
The co-primary endpoint of the study is the composite rate of cardiac death and any heart attack (Q-wave or non-Q-wave myocardial infarction) in patients at one year. Secondary endpoints of the study include patient compliance with prescribed anti-platelet medication, measures of re-treatment by stenting or surgery, and device and procedural success.
"Post-approval studies allow physicians to follow the safety and efficacy of new treatments in a more complex patient population than is typically studied in pre-approval clinical trials. XIENCE V is used to treat coronary artery disease by propping open a narrowed or blocked artery and releasing the drug, everolimus, in a controlled manner to prevent the artery from becoming blocked again following a stent procedure. XIENCE V is built upon Abbott's market-leading bare metal stent, the MULTI-LINK VISION(R) Coronary Stent System. The VISION platform is designed to facilitate ease of delivery, making it easier for physicians to maneuver the stent and treat the diseased portion of the artery.
Long-term results with XIENCE V in the SPIRIT III pivotal U.S. clinical trial demonstrated a 45 percent reduction in the risk of major adverse cardiac events (MACE) compared to the TAXUS(R) paclitaxel-eluting coronary stent system at two years. XIENCE V also demonstrated a low rate of stent thrombosis between one and two years, defined as very late stent thrombosis, per Academic Research Consortium (ARC) definition of definite/probable stent thrombosis (0.3 percent for XIENCE V and 1.0 percent for TAXUS). XIENCE V met its primary endpoint in the SPIRIT III clinical trial with a statistically significant 50 percent reduction in in-segment late loss (vessel renarrowing) at eight months compared to TAXUS.
The XIENCE V stent is available on both over-the-wire (OTW) and rapid exchange (RX) delivery systems. Rapid exchange is the most widely used type of delivery system because it provides physicians additional flexibility to work as single operators during stent procedures.
XIENCE V was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on July 2, 2008, and was launched in Europe and other international markets in October 2006. XIENCE V is an investigational device in Japan and is currently under review by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency.

Though the category displayed visitor growth across virtually all demographic segments, certain segments contributed more than others. The number of visitors to the category age 50 and older grew 46 percent versus year ago, while visitors under 50 grew by 32 percent. Above average growth was also seen in the following segments: households earning at least $60,000 annually (40 percent), households with children (38 percent) and households with at least 5 people (57 percent). In sum, segments displaying the greatest growth paint a picture of those likely to have more financial responsibilities or challenges, such as needing to save for college and/or retirement, or needing to determine how best to handle more immediate financial obligations, such as home mortgage holders facing rapidly escalating monthly payments.

NEW YORK, July 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- IAC announced today, in connection with its previously announced cash tender offer for any and all of its outstanding 7% Senior Notes due 2013 (the "Notes") (CUSIP Nos. 902984AD5 & 902984AC7 / ISINs US902984AD51, US902984AC78 & USU9033KAA26) and related consent solicitation to amend the indenture governing the Notes, that it is extending the Consent Time (as defined in the Offer to Purchase and Consent Solicitation Statement dated June 11, 2008 (the "Offer to Purchase")) from 5:00 p.m., New York City time, on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, to 5:00 p.m., New York City time, on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, and is extending the Expiration Time (as defined in the Offer to Purchase) from Midnight, New York City time, on Wednesday, July 23, 2008, to Midnight, New York City time, on Wednesday, August 6, 2008. DuPont to Expand Capacity in China to Accelerate Growth for Engineering Resins in Asian Markets
SHENZHEN, China, July 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DuPont today announced an expansion of compounding capacity for its range of DuPont(TM) Zytel(R) nylon 6,6 resins and DuPont(TM) Zytel(R) HTN high performance polyamide resins at its manufacturing site in Shenzhen, China. Start up of production is planned for the second quarter 2009. When combined with a recently announced expansion for Zytel(R) resins in Ulsan, South Korea, the result will be an additional 65,000 metric tons of capacity to serve growing markets in Asia.

U.S. Army Awards General Dynamics $11 Million Military Personnel Services Contract for Three Virginia Bases
FAIRFAX, Va., July 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics , has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Army to provide military personnel support services for three Virginia bases -- Fort Eustis, Fort Monroe and Fort Story. The contract has a total potential value of $11.1 million over five years if all options are exercised.
Under the contract, General Dynamics will provide support services that include Army personnel records management and processing, personnel accounting, installation arrival and departure processing, soldier reassignments, transition, separation and retirement support; soldier mobilization and readiness processing; casualty assistance management; passport services, military ID card services and promotions support; and all related Army personnel administrative services.
General Dynamics will also manage the Army's enterprise human resources application, the Electronic Military Personnel Office (eMILPO), and the conversion of eMILPO to the Army's Defense Integrated Military Human Resources System (DIMHRS). Acting as a representative of the installations' Adjutants General, General Dynamics will provide the Army with accurate and timely visibility into personnel status throughout the Army.
