Prime Income Asset Management Becomes Minority Stakeholder in Resurgence Software, Inc. of Louisiana
DALLAS, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Prime Income Asset Management (Prime), a Dallas-based advisory and management company to real estate and energy sector companies, today announced that it has become a minority owner in Resurgence Software, Inc., a software development company located in Metairie, Louisiana. Prime's energy affiliated companies have both domestic and international interests in oil, gas and electricity including projects in Arkansas, Texas, Ghana and Bulgaria. Prime and its affiliated real estate companies also own, develop and manage over $2.5 billion of commercial real estate for public and private entities through the United States.
Resurgence has developed the "Voyager Maritime Payment Solution," which is a new fuel payment system for ocean going vessels. As well as developing the web based platform used to facilitate transactions, Resurgence is listed as the co-inventor on the business process patent application for the system and is responsible for all sales and marketing activities for the payment solution worldwide. The other partners in this program are Lloyd's Register of London, the English Ship Classification Society which owns a subsidiary that provides fuel testing and mediation services for ocean going vessels, and Houston-based U.S. Bank Voyager, a wholly-owned subsidiary of US Bancorp, which also provides fleet fueling and maintenance cards for vehicles and an aircraft fueling and maintenance card program through Voyager's sister company, Multi-Service Aviation.
Daniel J. Moos, the president and chief operating officer of Prime introduced the Resurgence Maritime program to US Bank when he served as General Manager of the combined Voyager and Multi Service companies. "With the strong and committed backing of Prime Income Asset Management, Lloyd's Register and U.S. Bank Voyager, Resurgence Software will undoubtedly emerge as a leader in maritime payment solution technology," says Mr. Moos. "Having worked on the maritime payment program while employed at U.S. Bank Voyager, I am aware of its capabilities and I am delighted to have the opportunity to support Resurgence as they market this marine payment system."
Resurgence Software, Inc. was formed in September 2000 to develop software applications that enhance asset optimization through equipment reliability analysis, cost analysis and maintenance management. With the financial backing of Prime Income Asset Management, and in conjunction with Lloyd's Register and U.S. Bank Voyager, Resurgence Software has created a new maritime payment system called "Voyager Maritime Payment Solution" (http://www.voyagermaritime.com/), which grants credit terms to shippers, generates payments to merchants, and includes a fuel testing component for large bulk purchases of fuel for ocean going vessels.
Traditionally, maritime industry payments have been made by cash and money order. This new payment system will allow credit terms, which will offer companies flexibility of payment options, as well as the ability to conduct and manage their assets in a more efficient manner. The new payment system is patent pending. According to K. Thomas Bubrig, president and chief executive officer of Resurgence Software, Inc., "The maritime fuel industry is a $165 billion dollar a year industry. Our new maritime payment system will be the first to consolidate this industry and provide an optimal solution for both the suppliers and the buyers and will make us the industry leader worldwide in maritime payment solutions."
Prime Income Asset Management, LLC (http://www.primeasset.com/) is a Dallas-based real estate management company and energy sector advisor, which owns, develops and manages over $2.5 billion of commercial real estate for public and private real estate entities and advises energy companies with both domestic and international gas, oil and electricity operations. Lockheed Martin Chairman Says Case for Transatlantic Collaboration Will Grow StrongerCites Current Economic Conditions, New Security Threats
LONDON, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockheed Martin Chairman, President and CEO Bob Stevens said that the case for transatlantic collaboration will only grow in strength and urgency because of current economic conditions and new, more complex security threats nations face.
"For that collaboration to reach its full potential, industry plays a role, and companies on both sides of the Atlantic must be able to contribute both the technology and the equipment necessary to carry out essential missions. This requires industry health, which is only possible with adequate levels of investment kept lean and efficient through an open, competitive marketplace," said Stevens.
Stevens made his remarks in London Sunday evening at a dinner associated with the Farnborough Air Show. In his remarks, Stevens noted the positive trends in today's transatlantic environment. He said he saw a greater focus on the need for open markets and transparency and the benefits of competition.
"The [European] Commission's recent work, including the draft directive on defense procurement, is an encouraging step in this regard," said Stevens. "But as the Commission's directive is reviewed and ultimately implemented by the European Parliament and Council, it will be important to keep the focus on openness and competitiveness."
Stevens said he believes the best way for European governments to protect European industry is to invest in it. "There is simply no substitute for real expenditures on tangible programs if European industry health is to be improved and if further transatlantic cooperation is to be advanced."
Headquartered in Bethesda, Md., Lockheed Martin employs about 140,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services. The Corporation reported 2007 sales of $41.9 billion.

Regionally the company has invested nearly $2.2 billion into its New England network, including over $292 million in 2007 alone. As a result of these investments, every Verizon Wireless cell site in New England offers wireless broadband connectivity.
BroadbandAccess offers computer users the nation's most reliable high-speed wireless mobile broadband network, operating at average upload speeds between 500 and 800 kbps, and download speeds between 600 kbps and 1.4 mbps over Verizon Wireless' BroadbandAccess with EV-DO Revision A network. V CAST brings video clips of TV shows, music on demand and other multimedia services to wireless phones.
Strong demand for Verizon Wireless services continued during the first quarter of 2008 as the company added 1.5 million net new customers and, for the fourteenth consecutive quarter, reported the lowest customer turnover (highest customer loyalty) rate in the wireless industry.
The company's 'nation's most reliable wireless network' reputation is based on network studies performed by real-life test men and test women throughout the country who inspired the "can you hear me now" national advertising campaign. Nationally, these test men and women drive nearly 100 specially equipped vehicles almost 1,000,000 miles annually on Interstate, U.S. and state highways as well as major roads and surface streets in high-population areas, based upon U.S. Census counts, to confirm that voice calls and data connections are successful on the first attempt and stay connected. Vehicles are equipped with computers that automatically make more than three million voice call attempts and more than 16 million data tests annually on Verizon Wireless' network and the networks of other carriers.

Next Inning Technology Updates Outlooks for Analog Devices, Maxim Integrated Products, Intersil, and Linear Technology
PRINCETON, N.J., July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Next Inning Technology Research (http://www.nextinning.com/), a subscription service focused on semiconductor and technology stocks, announced it has updated outlooks for Analog Devices , Maxim Integrated Products (Other OTC: MXIM), Intersil and Linear Technology .
In a series of reports released in March, Editor Paul McWilliams advised readers it was time to buy specific tech stocks. His selections went up considerably with one very near doubling. However, in May and early June, he warned readers it was time to take some profits and prepare for the summer swoon he saw coming. Now that tech stocks have taken a significant hit, is it time to start buying again? Click to read his updated thoughts and enjoy a 21-day free trial of Next Inning:

In his State of Tech report, McWilliams wrote: "In January, when Intersil was trading for under $23, I noted that it was clearly at an attractive valuation. In our April report, with the stock nearly 15% higher, I suggested staying on the sidelines to see how incoming CEO David Bell set the stage. However, now that the price of Intersil is hovering around where it was in January..."
McWilliams also looks at these topics:
-- What trends does McWilliams believe may favor Analog Devices? What area does the company need to address more effectively?
-- McWilliams suggested selling Maxim last year when it was trading for $35. What does he think now with the stock at $18.50?
-- Should investors be enthusiastic about Intersil's new CEO? Would McWilliams add shares here?
-- Is Linear Technology likely to meet Q2 expectations?
Founded in September 2002, Next Inning's model portfolio has returned 223% since its inception versus 75% for the Nasdaq.

Additional coverage includes portions of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, Interstate 99 and State Route 220.
"Our high-speed wireless network gives our customers three key advantages in wireless communication -- speed, mobility and security," said Roger Tang, president -- Ohio/Pennsylvania/West Virginia region, Verizon Wireless. "With these advantages, business customers and mobile professionals can increase productivity and see bottom-line business benefits. In addition, our V CAST services, such as V CAST Music with Rhapsody, help keep customers entertained while on-the-go -- on the same devices they carry with them every day."
BroadbandAccess
The network expansion in Bedford County offers Verizon Wireless' business customers a truly mobile office experience with BroadbandAccess, giving them access to their calendars, the Internet, e-mail and critical business information residing behind their companies' firewalls. BroadbandAccess was developed with a range of users in mind, and it enables large enterprises, small- to medium-sized businesses and mobile professionals to conduct business anytime, anywhere in the BroadbandAccess coverage area via a secure, true high-speed data connection.
Customers in wireless broadband coverage areas can expect average download speeds of 600 kilobits per second (kbps) to 1.4 megabits per second and average upload speeds of 500-800 kbps. That means they can download a 1 Megabyte e-mail attachment -- the equivalent of a small PowerPoint(R) presentation or a large PDF file -- in about eight seconds and upload the same-sized file in less than 13 seconds. To help customers stay connected, BroadbandAccess seamlessly switches to the company's NationalAccess service if they travel outside the BroadbandAccess coverage area.
V CAST Music with Rhapsody
The company's wireless broadband network powers its V CAST Music with Rhapsody service, which combines Verizon Wireless' world-class, over-the-air mobile music service with Rhapsody's leading desktop solution. V CAST Music with Rhapsody delivers unlimited monthly access to music on up to three Rhapsody-compatible mobile phones and players, and online on multiple PCs and Web browsers. With V CAST Music with Rhapsody, customers who purchase music over-the-air can download the master copy of the songs or albums to their PCs free of digital rights management (DRM) software that restricts how and where music can be played.
V CAST
The company's V CAST service gives customers the ability to play cutting-edge 3D games and stream video clips straight to their handsets. V CAST offers content updated daily so customers can watch dozens of on-demand videos, including breaking news, weather updates, sports highlights and the hottest entertainment clips.
Network Technology and Investment
Verizon Wireless' broadband network is based on CDMA 1x Evolution-Data Optimized (EV-DO) Revision A (Rev. A) technology and provides customers in the area with speeds significantly faster than the company's NationalAccess service.
The multi-million dollar expansion includes the installation of high-tech wireless hardware and software in wireless transmission sites throughout the region. It is part of an ongoing network investment by Verizon Wireless, which has invested more than $45 billion since it was formed -- $5.5 billion on average every year -- to increase the coverage and capacity of its national network and to add new services. Last year, the company invested more than $235 million in its Pennsylvania network improvements.

Newpoint Technologies Announces NASA Achievement Award and Successful Space Network Management System Spiral 2 Delivery
SALEM, N.H., July 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Newpoint Technologies, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Integral Systems, Inc. , and a recognized leader in Network Management and Remote Site Monitoring solutions, announced today that its Spiral 2 Delivery to Honeywell of Compass Software for NASA's Space Network successfully completed acceptance testing in April and the Delivery team received a NASA Group Achievement Award in May. This award is presented to a group of government employees or a group comprised of government and non-government personnel for outstanding accomplishment through the coordination of many individual efforts that have contributed substantially to a NASA mission.
Newpoint's Compass Software provides NASA with remote management capability for its Guam terminal. A redundant pair of Compass servers interface with the ground segment enabling operators at New Mexico's WSC (White Sands Complex) to monitor status, view alarms, and control equipment in Guam. Compass' replication features ensure delivery and efficient data transfer through the limited bandwidth between WSC and Guam.
"Newpoint was able to provide to Honeywell a COTS solution that required very little modification to the core product to meet the requirements of managing equipment located in Guam. In doing so, we were able to significantly reduce the risk, cost, and schedule associated with delivering the Compass M&C system. By selecting key products from the Integral Systems family, namely modems from RT Logic, the Doppler Compensation Module from Integral Systems, and Compass Software from Newpoint, Honeywell had a single organization that shared its goals and was responsible for delivering a seamlessly integrated solution to NASA," stated Wally Martland, Newpoint's President. In addition to managing Guam's standard RF equipment, Compass Software also interfaces into the wideband and narrowband modems provided by RT Logic, and the mission control and status software provided by General Dynamics, which in turn uses a Doppler Compensation Module programming library from Integral Systems to perform Doppler compensation calculations.

Hamilton Sundstrand Systems Contribute to Successful 787 Dreamliner Power On
FARNBOROUGH AIR SHOW, FARNBOROUGH, England, July 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hamilton Sundstrand's suite of systems has contributed to the successful completion of Power On testing on for the first Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Hamilton Sundstrand is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. .
Completed on June 19, Power On is a series of tests that verify electrical power distribution and use in the real airplane environment, and demonstrate installation of systems is correct.
"Hamilton Sundstrand is very pleased to have helped Boeing achieve this milestone on the 787 program," said Geoff Hunt, vice president of Hamilton Sundstrand's 787 programs. "Several of our 787 systems employ new aerospace technologies, and we are proud of their performance in achieving Power On."
Hamilton Sundstrand's Airplane Power System Integration Facility (APSIF) in Rockford, Illinois, U.S.A., played a pivotal role in developing and testing multiple systems for the 787. Through high-speed data links with Boeing and with other Hamilton Sundstrand facilities in Connecticut and California, the facility operates as a virtual workspace. Engineers from Hamilton Sundstrand test and verify systems in a real-time, collaborative environment with other 787 partners, often thousands of miles apart. Hamilton Sundstrand has completed more than 8,500 hours of integration testing in the APSIF.
Among the nine system packages that Hamilton Sundstrand provides for the Dreamliner, is the first electrically driven Environmental Control System (ECS), which provides complete airplane thermal management and enough efficient cooling capacity to cool more than 25 homes. The ECS controls cabin and cargo cooling and heating, pressurization, and liquid cooling for the power electronics.
Hamilton Sundstrand's APS 5000 Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) provides power to the 787 while it is on the ground, and in-flight back-up power. The APS 5000 APU is rated at 1,100 shaft horsepower and is designed to start and operate throughout the full range of the 787 operating envelope up to 43,000 feet -- all while operating 50 percent quieter and emitting 10 percent lower emissions than the Boeing 767 APU.
In the extremely rare condition of total power loss, the Hamilton Sundstrand Ram Air Turbine (RAT) deploys from the underside of the fuselage to produce power for the cockpit and flight controls, enabling the airplane to land safely. Hamilton Sundstrand is the world's leading supplier of RATs. Since the technology's inception, Hamilton Sundstrand RATs have saved more than 1,600 lives.
The 787 is the first passenger airplane designed with an integrated on-board Nitrogen Generation System, which produces nitrogen-rich airflow to the fuel tanks to increase fuel tank safety. Hamilton Sundstrand produces the pack assembly, including the motor-driven compressors.
Hamilton Sundstrand also provides the 787's full suite of electric power systems, including the Electrical Power Generation and Start System (EPGSS), which generates and controls the airplane's electrical power, and starts the APU and main engines. The 787 is the first airplane to incorporate electronic starting of a large turbofan engine. The EPGSS incorporates other key technologies that enable the 787 to be the first "more electric" commercial airplane. Comprising four main engine-mounted variable frequency starter generators and two APU-mounted auxiliary starter generators, the EPGSS system produces 1.450 megawatts of electrical power, which is five times the power generation capacity of the 767 and enough to power 400 homes. The system's motor controllers are multiplexed to drive the cabin air compressors, electric motor pumps and other power equipment aboard the 787.
With 2007 revenues of $5.6 billion, Hamilton Sundstrand employs approximately 19,000 people worldwide and is headquartered in Windsor Locks, Conn. Among the world's largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products, the company designs, manufactures and services aerospace systems and provides integrated system solutions for commercial, regional, corporate and military aircraft.
