U.S. Army Soldiers Experience Mobile Networking for First Time Using General Dynamics' Warfighter Information Network - Tactical (WIN-T)WIN-T Increment 2 limited user test demonstrates battle command on-the-move in realistic operational scenarios across a 3000 square-mile area.
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Soldiers of the U.S. Army's 4th Brigade - 2nd Infantry Division in Fort Lewis, Wash., and 3rd Infantry Division in Fort Stewart, Ga., this week completed a Limited User Test (LUT) of the Warfighter Information Network - Tactical (WIN-T) Increment 2, which for the first time delivers on-the-move Internet-like broadband networking capabilities to military units dispersed across wide geographic areas. A General Dynamics-led team supported the testing, during which soldiers from the two units planned and executed multiple missions, sharing command and control information from the command post down to the company level using WIN-T.
"This is the largest and most complex user test for WIN-T and demonstrates just how critical a weapon the network is in the Army's arsenal because it is what soldiers will depend on to communicate on the battlefield," said WIN-T Project Manager Colonel William C. Hoppe, Program Executive Office for Command, Control, Communication-Tactical for the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command at Fort Monmouth, N.J.
The military exercises, which began March 18 and ended March 30, constitute the first time that actual soldiers used the WIN-T network across multiple geographic locations. During the LUT, soldiers carried out realistic mission scenarios that tested WIN-T's ability to support continuous command, control, communications and intelligence functions used by warfighters and commanders during an operation.
If deemed successful by the Army's Evaluation Center, completion of the LUT paves the way for the Army to approve low-rate production of the system. Upon final approval, fielding of the new equipment to the first unit will begin in late 2010.
The WIN-T program consists of four increments. Increment 1 is now in the hands of more than half of the U.S. Army worldwide, providing the Army's enterprise network for deployed forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. Beyond Increment 2, which enables initial mobile networking for Divisions, Brigade Combat Teams, Battalions and Companies, Increment 3 provides increased network reliability and capacity, smaller and more tightly integrated communications and networking gear, and supports the Future Combat System. Increment 4, the last of the WIN-T developmental program elements, is a pending contract award.
General Dynamics C4 Systems is the prime systems integrator for WIN-T and is teamed with Lockheed Martin, BAE Systems, Harris Corporation, L-3 communications, Juniper Networks and CISCO Systems.
General Dynamics C4 Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics , is a leading integrator of secure communication and information systems and technology.
General Dynamics, headquartered in Falls Church, Va., employs approximately 92,300 people worldwide. LightEdge Deploys EMC Industry-leading Deduplication Software to Reduce Backup and Recovery Times for CustomersEMC Avamar Deduplication Software Enables Faster, Smaller Backups to Disk; Lessens Strain on Production Systems; and Slows Acquisition of New Storage
HOPKINTON, Mass., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- EMC Corporation , the world leader in information infrastructure solutions, today announced that LightEdge Solutions, Inc. is optimizing its managed backup and recovery services with EMC Avamar(R), the company's industry-leading deduplication software. LightEdge is a leading provider of hosted communications and IT services to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
"As our business expanded, our legacy backup and recovery solution lacked the scalability and features to support a larger, more sophisticated customer base," said Jim Masterson, LightEdge's Chairman and CEO. "Licensing costs and growing backup volumes also made it more challenging to offer the service at a competitive price."
Based in Des Moines, Iowa, LightEdge replaced its 58-terabyte NetApp storage environment with a single EMC CLARiiON CX4 networked storage system to store the company's application data, including Microsoft Exchange Server email and Microsoft SQL Server databases. After evaluating CommVault and other data protection solutions, LightEdge also replaced its Syncsort and NetApp backup system with EMC Avamar to enable customers to back up and restore emails, databases, documents, check images and other data, as well as back up its own production data. With advance data deduplication capabilities, Avamar automatically identifies and removes redundant data from the backup process before sending it over an IP network to Avamar Data Stores at multiple LightEdge's datacenters across the U.S.
"By removing redundant data, we've cut our costs of delivering managed backup and recovery services, which allows us to offer a more competitively priced product," said Jeff Springborn, LightEdge's President and COO. "Some of our customers with large backup volumes and limited network bandwidth can now complete their backups within their scheduled windows. Not only do we solve an important problem for them, but we have broadened the potential market we can address in a burgeoning market for these services."
As the migration is underway, LightEdge has been able to compare Avamar side by side with the legacy solution. In one business area, LightEdge recently used Avamar to execute full backups of several hundred servers overnight. Although 4.2 terabytes of data was protected, total amount of data transferred was only 154 gigabytes due to data deduplication. The legacy solution, on the other hand, backed up less than 100 servers in another business area and transferred 3.3 terabytes of data during the same amount of time. When the migration is completed, LightEdge will reduce the amount of data for backups by more than 3 terabytes.
"While SMBs are aggressively cutting costs, they're still dealing with how to manage the explosion of data," said Masterson. "Our business is accelerating because we provide a solution that does not require a large investment -- something many SMBs want to avoid, even in a better business climate. Not only are our customers gaining higher-quality data protection with Avamar, but they're actually saving money by increasing the efficiency of their backups."
"With faster, smaller backups, there is less strain on our production systems, which helps us slow acquisition of new storage," said Springborn. "Avamar's functionality also has made our backup and restoration process more automated and reliable. Besides its ease-of-use, Avamar cost us roughly one-fifth of our legacy system and we expect to have a return on investment in a year. By passing these savings to our customers, we have made our backup and recovery offerings much more cost-competitive to our target market."
"EMC has been a true partner with us to bring this service to market," said Masterson. "We've been very impressed with the high quality of EMC's technology and its ability to bring backup efficiency to our hosted applications and customer platforms. Additionally, the EMC team's commitment to making our relationship as productive and effective as possible has been instrumental. With EMC, we're able to offer truly innovative, enterprise-class hosted services to our SMB customers previously would have been out of their reach."
"LightEdge is a great example of how a company can leverage cutting-edge technologies not only for their own business, but for its customers as well," said Rob Emsley, Senior Director of Storage Software Product Marketing, EMC Corporation. "As data protection requirements continue to rise, LightEdge is giving SMBs a cost-effective and efficient way to backup their critical data, without carrying the burden of a physical footprint. We're pleased to work with LightEdge and look forward to helping them maximize their business as their needs continue to grow in the future."

HUIZHOU, China, April 6 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- Qiao Xing Universal Telephone, Inc. today announced that it has completed the acquisition of the 100% equity interest in China Luxuriance Jade Company, Ltd. ("China Luxuriance") (the "Acquisition") and now has diversified into the resource industry.

China Luxuriance, through its wholly owned Chinese subsidiaries, owns the right to receive the expected residual returns from Chifeng Haozhou Mining Co., Ltd. ("Haozhou Mining"), a large copper-molybdenum poly-metallic mining company in China. Haozhou Mining owns the exploration license of a mine covering 53.9 square kilometers (the "Mine") in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the People's Republic of China. Through exploration of 32.34 square kilometers it was concluded that there is a reserve of 30,985 ton of molybdenum metal and an abundance of other types of multi-metal mine reserves, which was supported by the Technical Report issued by Behre Dolbear Asia, Inc. The remaining 21.56 square meters are also expected to be explored and Haozhou believes that there is likely additional reserves of copper-molybdenum and other types of multi-metal mine therein.
More details of the Mine: The mine is located in Chifeng which is a strategically important base for China's mineral resources; the molybdenum grade is 0.40% for proved reserve, which is very high compared with the global average; transportation, supply of water and electricity are economically accessible; Chifeng Haozhou is managed by a team of mining experts with proven experience who are capable of operating a mining business; it has all necessary permits, approval from the PRC government authorities to explore and extract the mines, as well as environment protection permits and safety permits; the infrastructure and the initial production facility (the "Initial Project") are believed to be sufficient to support the capacity of processing 435,000 tons of ores and producing 2,817 tons of molybdenum concentrate product annually (equivalent to 1,378 tons of molybdenum metal). The Initial Project is expected to be put into operation in 2009. It is planned that, as of 2011, the production capacity will eventually increase to a level to process 540,000 tons of ores and produce 3,526 tons of molybdenum concentrate on annual basis. The management believe, based on the detected reserve level, the resource business will grow eventually to reach an annual net profit of RMB125 million (around USD18 million at current exchange rate).
Pursuant to the current unit price of molybdenum metal and the detected molybdenum reserve, the gross value of the Mine amounts approximately to USD850million. We expect that the factual gross value of the Mine will be much higher as the price trend of molybdenum metal is on the rise and more molybdenum reserve is expected to be detected in the future.
The total consideration which the Company will pay for the Acquisition was USD110, 000,000. The Company paid USD30 million in cash and will issue 40,000,000 restricted shares of the Company's common stock valued at USD2.00 per share to Mr. Wu Rui Lin, the former sole shareholder of China Luxuriance and the Chairman of XING.
The Board of the Company has received and studied professional Technical Report, Appraisal Report, and Fairness Opinion in the process of approving this acquisition
For more than ten years, XING and its subsidiaries have achieved great success in the telecommunication terminal industry. Its major subsidiary, Qiao Xing Mobile Communication Co., Ltd., by successfully implementing its Differentiation Strategy and Higher-end Product Strategy against the increasingly intensive competition, has became one of the top domestic mobile phone players in terms of profitability and competitiveness. However, due to the significant shrinkage in the indoor phone business industry and the intense pricing competition war in the mobile phone market, another subsidiary of ours, Huizhou Qiao Xing Communication Industry Co., Ltd, a company specializing in the indoor phone and lower-end mobile phone business, is now facing a threat of loss. In order to maintain our long term growth momentum and sustained profitability, roughly three years ago, XING's management team started to explore the opportunities and arenas for its diversification strategy. Upon completion of our due diligence and market research, the Company selected this copper-molybdenum poly-metallic mining company as its first diversification target.
As a rare metal and a non-renewable resource of great strategic importance, molybdenum is widely used in many areas, including the iron and steel melting industries. In the recently-announced RMB 4 trillion stimulus package launched by the Chinese Government, nearly RMB 1.8 trillion will be spent in the construction of railway, highway, airport and power grid, which is expected to have a very positive effect on the cement, iron and steel industries. We expect that the good opportunities for the iron and steel melting industries will further stimulate the demands for moly concentrate products.
We believe that this diversification will be one of the major strategic measures to ensure the Company's continued future sustainable development.
The management plans to hold a conference call on April 15, 2009 and will notify all the investing public of the dial-in numbers in a separate press release.

Suspect Detection Systems Sends Letter to ShareholdersProprietary Cogito Terror Preventing Technology has Penetrated Commercial Markets Worldwide; Cogito Technology Now Being Implemented in the US, India, Mexico, Israel, South Africa, Colombia
NEW YORK, April 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Suspect Detection Systems Inc., (RICS: SDSS.OB), has published the following letter to all stockholders. The letter highlights the abilities of Cogito Technology to detect the hostile intent of terrorists and criminals, and introduces the management team of company subsidiary Suspect Detection Systems Ltd.
Dear Shareholders,
In 2009, terrorists and criminals are better organized and more sophisticated than ever before, taking advantage of new techniques and flaws in public awareness to commit devastating acts. To keep public citizens and private enterprises safe from potent threats requires an even greater degree of sophistication and advanced technology.
Suspect Detection Systems Inc. (SDS) is a developer of proprietary anti-terror and anti-crime technology designed to identify threats in real-time, and prevent incidents before they are carried out. The technology detects the hidden 'hostile intent' of assailants-before they commit their intended acts-with a remarkable degree of accuracy.
Cogito Technology
Designed on the principle that an individual's thoughts can identify their intended actions, SDS has developed Cogito technology. SDS has borrowed from the well-known principle stated in 1644 by Rene Descartes: 'Cogito Ergo Sum'; I think therefore I am. Cogito technology exposes the 'guilty knowledge' possessed in the mind of an individual seeking to commit an intentional act.
Cogito uses a combination of audiovisual elements, customized interrogation methods, and a unique set of advanced algorithms to analyze outputs of a potential suspect's Parasympathetic Nervous System. In a matter of minutes the Cogito system emulates the analysis of manual polygraph specialists, and determines whether an individual in question is a suspect or non-suspect. The system is designed to operate without the presence of interrogation experts.
Cogito has been designed with both mobile and stand-alone applications. SDS technology can be instantly introduced to any market, and can be easily deployed worldwide at any location susceptible to infiltration and attack.
Cogito operates in a class unto itself, as there are no systems available anywhere on the market that can automatically and quickly detect hostile intent. The Cogito system is effective, commercially viable and affordable. Cogito is particularly inexpensive compared to the potential costs suffered during a successful terror attack or crime.
Commercial Penetration
After extensive research, development, and successful testing-all sponsored in part by the U.S. Homeland Security Department's Transportation Security Administration (TSA)-SDS Cogito Technology has been introduced to the commercial market as a powerful crime and terror prevention mechanism.
Cogito has been deployed by Federal, Military and Private Enterprises in the United States, Israel, South Africa, Colombia, Guatemala and Azerbaijan. Satisfied owners of pilot SDS systems are now lining up to submit larger orders of multiple Cogito field units.
In 2008 and early 2009, multiple units of the Cogito system have been sold to Federal Law Enforcement agencies in India and Mexico, with additional sales expected later this year.
These countries face dynamic terror and criminal threats, and have allocated budgets to prevent such activity. Both the Indian and Mexican governments are committed to the premise of detecting hostile intent as a successful prevention tool, and have already authorized their respective Law Enforcement agencies to proactively acquire Cogito technology without additional bureaucratic obstacles.
Marketing Strategy
SDS has developed a strong multinational sales channel, with agents and integrators working worldwide to deliver Cogito technology. SDS has established commercial marketing agreements with global and nationwide homeland security system providers.
Agreements have been initiated with a global defense and homeland security system provider in Israel, and a leading commercial retailer of defense systems in India. In addition, a similar marketing agreement has been signed in the U.S. with a Fortune 500 homeland security and defense integrator.
In 2010, SDS aims to expand the commercial reach of Cogito technology to the large markets of the Far East. SDS has opened negotiations for an exclusive marketing agreement with a leading defense system provider in China. By 2011, SDS plans to penetrate Western markets in large scale and in particular across the United States.
Realizing Our Potential
SDS is poised to succeed in preventing terror across the globe through the fertile sales channels and expertise of our management. Cogito Technology was researched and developed by SDS subsidiary Suspect Detection Systems Ltd., in Israel.
The Suspect Detection Systems Ltd. Management team, led by Eran Drukman and Shabtai Shoval, has a proven track record of leading successful companies through all business development phases, from start-up to maturity:

and Telecom
- Former CEO of Comverse TVGate Division

Strategy
In addition, SDS features a highly qualified Board of Directors and Advisory Board of top executives, software and algorithm industry leaders, and leading experts in counter-terrorism strategy.
Initial SDS sales have capitalized on our Management's highly developed multinational distribution arteries in the software and defense sectors. SDS is anticipating a growing revenue stream in 2009, through the full implementation of the Cogito system. We anticipate even greater success through 2010 and 2011, as the system continues to succeed in the prevention of criminal and terrorist activity across the globe.
We would like to offer our sincere thanks to our valued shareholders for their encouragement and support of our success thus far. We look forward to the fulfillment of our mutual vision by delivering tangible results in the coming year and beyond.
Sincerely,

ATLANTA, April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Craneware, Inc. (AIM: CRW.L), the healthcare industry's trusted market-leading provider of financial performance solutions, announced an agreement with Premier Purchasing Partners, LP, the group purchasing unit of Premier Inc. Under the agreement, Premier Purchasing Partners will introduce pre-negotiated pricing and terms for Craneware financial performance software and services to its more than 2,100 member and client hospitals and more than 54,000 other healthcare providers. By enhancing revenue capture processes, Craneware solutions allow clients to optimize reimbursement, improve operational efficiency and support compliance.
Effective April 1, 2009, the 36-month agreement includes: Chargemaster Toolkit(R), the original solution for management of the Charge Description Master (CDM); Online Reference Toolkit(R), a Web-based tool for reducing risk by providing access to reference and regulatory resources; Bill Analyzer, software for identifying lost revenue in charge capture processes; Physician Revenue Toolkit(R), software for managing a physician group's charges, codes, RVUs, fee schedules, and related information; Patient Charge Estimator(TM), a tool for simplifying the processes of providing charge estimates; and Pharmacy ChargeLink(TM), a pharmacy supply application providing an automatic connection between a hospital's pharmaceutical purchasing and billing processes.

New Englanders Make A Difference Donating Used Wireless Phones to Verizon Wireless' HopeLine ProgramConsumers Can Help Their Communities and the Environment During National Cell Phone Recycling Week
WILMINGTON, Mass., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Consumers in the New England region can give back to their communities and help the environment by donating no longer used cell phones, batteries and accessories to Verizon Wireless' HopeLine(R) program during the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) National Cell Phone Recycling Week -- April 6 - 12, 2009.
The EPA reports that more than 100 million cell phones are discarded annually in the U.S. alone. If all of them were recycled, enough energy would be saved to power more than 18,500 U.S. homes for one year. HopeLine provides a convenient way to make an impact.
"Because of the generosity of New England consumers, last year through HopeLine we were able to donate over 1,000 wireless phones, and almost six million calling minutes, to local domestic violence organizations and the clients they serve," said Ken Dixon, Regional President, Verizon Wireless New England. "HopeLine provides consumers and businesses an easy way to help out their communities both environmentally and socially."
Through HopeLine's national recycling efforts, more than 1 million no-longer-used wireless phones have been disposed of properly, more than 170,000 pounds of batteries have been recycled and more than 200 tons of electronics waste and batteries have been kept out of landfills.
HopeLine, Verizon Wireless' exclusive phone recycling and refurbishing program, collects no-longer used wireless equipment from any wireless service provider at Verizon Wireless Communications Stores nationwide or by mail. Phones donated to HopeLine that can be refurbished are sold for reuse and those without value are recycled in an environmentally friendly way under a zero landfill policy. Proceeds from HopeLine are used to provide wireless phones and cash grants to local shelters and non-profit organizations that focus on domestic violence prevention and awareness.

Healthcare Organizations Deploy RSA Solutions to Improve Privacy and Efficiency of Patient CareGeisinger Health System and Other Organizations Leverage Identity & Access Assurance Technologies from EMC's Security Division to Help Increase Productivity, Reduce Costs and Achieve Compliance
CHICAGO, April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- HIMSS 09 -- RSA, The Security Division of EMC announced that leading healthcare organizations -- including Apoteket AB, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, Catholic Health System, Geisinger Health System, Mainline Health and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center -- have implemented effective information risk management strategies and information-centric technologies from RSA in order to help secure highly sensitive patient healthcare data and meet compliance mandates.
"Through the strategic use of RSA technology we have been able to accelerate our plan for an integrated regional health organization. The Keystone Health Information Exchange pilot, secured by RSA(R) Access Manager and RSA(R) Federated Identity Manager, allows emergency departments within participating hospitals to share patient health information, in real time," said David Young, IT Program Director at Geisinger Health System. "This minimizes delays in treatment which can be frustrating and, in some cases, even life threatening. It also increases the productivity of physicians, reduces operational costs and ensures compliance with HIPAA regulations."
Young added, "With RSA(R) Adaptive Authentication, Geisinger has been able to offer our referring and affiliated physicians secure access to critical online resources, thereby facilitating the sharing of patient information out to external physicians. Providing these groups with access to a patient's electronic medical record helps to reduce the number of duplicate tests, which speeds treatment and improves the patient experience. We were particularly attracted by the way RSA Adaptive Authentication offers layers of security in addition to a regular user name and password, but without inconveniencing the user. It is ideal for clinicians working in a busy and often pressured hospital and clinic environment."
In order to protect the confidentiality, integrity and security of patient health data within the information infrastructure, healthcare organizations can apply a series of best practices to improve patient care and clinical workflow, and meet compliance challenges with confidence. First, an organization should understand and discover what data is most sensitive to its patients, clinicians and its own enterprise. As a result, it becomes equipped with the proper intelligence to select appropriate data and access controls based on policy and risk. Organizations can then monitor and report on security policy effectiveness and demonstrate compliance with regulations such as the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Joint Commission requirements, and European Union Data Directives. This holistic framework is based upon guidelines such as ISO 27799 for Information Security Management that helps to ensure patient healthcare information is protected, managed and auditable.
"A data breach at a hospital cannot only expose the credit card and bank account information of a patient, but it can also provide a data thief with the information to seek medical care using the insurance of another person. Furthermore, medical identity theft can have a serious detrimental impact on the ability of the patient to obtain private health insurance in the future, and can place the life of a victim in danger as the medical history of two or more people are combined into a single health data record," said Jarad Carleton, Senior Consultant at Frost & Sullivan. "Accessing the detailed medical history of a patient can also create issues from a provider standpoint as any change in these records could potentially lead to the death of the patient. This worst-case scenario can expose a hospital to civil lawsuits, negative publicity, and heightened regulatory oversight in countries with enforceable data privacy laws."
"In a 2008 HIMSS survey*, 97 percent of healthcare CIOs revealed that they were concerned about the security of the data within their organization. This is no surprise as traditional information security infrastructures have been primarily designed to protect against external threats. Yet today, the black market for information used for identity theft remains robust, and the focus on security is shifting to insiders with broad access to sensitive data. They know where the systems are, how they interact with each other, and what data resides on which systems," said Tom Corn, Vice President of Product Marketing at RSA, The Security Division of EMC. "This disparity between the current threat landscape and the traditional information security infrastructure is leading to more healthcare data breaches, increased regulation, and higher operational costs. In turn, critical workflow processes can be negatively impacted affecting the movement and availability of patient information."
For more information, please visit RSA's Information Risk Management for Protected Healthcare Information security solution website. A free copy of the Frost & Sullivan white paper (commissioned by RSA) entitled "Keeping the Promise of Privacy: Protecting Sensitive Data in Healthcare Organizations" can be found under Resources.

Cimatron User Named Toolmaker of the YearCimatron Congratulates WIRO on Winning First Place at the Excellence in Tooling Competition 2008
GIVAT SHMUEL, Israel, April 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cimatron Limited , a leading provider of integrated CAD/CAM solutions for mold, tool and die makers as well as manufacturers of discrete parts, announced that its long term customer, WIRO Toolshop, has been recognized as the best toolmaker in Germany for 2008.
(Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20090406/343673 )
Mr. Reiner Rohlje, General Manager of WIRO Prazisions-Werkzeugbau, and his team took first prize at the "Excellence in Tooling" competition 2008, out of 320 competitors. In effect, the toolshop has won the award twice in a row as they took the prize in 2006 and winners are not allowed to participate the year after a win.
Excellence in Tooling is considered the most prestigious competition manufacturing companies can win in Germany. The competition is organized by RWTH University in Aachen and a collection of governmental and other organizations and institutions, including the German Federal Ministry of Economics. The competition recognizes product quality, delivery time and customer service as well as other criteria.
WIRO is a family-owned toolshop with 40 employees in Olpe, Germany. The toolshop produces molds for screw caps, closures and tube components. 90% of their tools are exported, with 80% of orders shipping outside of Europe. WIRO customers include the biggest multinational companies in the food and cosmetic sectors. WIRO are involved in their customers' work from consulting on the design of the part to coordinating injection molding at the customer's site.
WIRO use CimatronE for all 3D work including the designing of the plastic parts, designing of the molds and NC programming for the mold production. CimatronE's advantages as an integrated software suite means it helps WIRO streamline the engineering process from quoting to design, to manufacturing and assembly in an efficient manner, without the need for data conversion. Dedicated CAD capabilities enable accurate design both of the plastic part and of the mold, while CAM functions, including safe and efficient toolpath creation and machine simulation, ensure safe and efficient milling and drilling of the various mold components.
"The CimatronE system is user friendly, we never have any problems," said Reiner Rohlje, General Manager of WIRO. "We trust the software completely for running our machines. At night, we operate a 'lights-out-shift' in which the machines continue to operate without supervision."
"WIRO offers top cost/quality ratio to their customers. We can even compete with export markets from cheaper countries because we offer our customers high quality molds with a longer lifetime and reduced need for maintenance- all contributing to an overall low cost of ownership," Mr. Rohlje added.
"We congratulate WIRO on this outstanding achievement," said Dirk Dombert, General Manager of Cimatron GmbH. "WIRO's win is a testament to their achievements as experienced, highly skilled mold makers. Their skills, along with intelligent use of technology, have allowed WIRO to be competitive in today's market and they should serve as a role model for toolshops worldwide."

CVS Caremark Discusses Role of Health IT to Optimize Pharmacy Health CarePresentation at HIMSS Annual Conference & Exposition reviews how Proactive Pharmacy Care approach leverages technology and face-to-face interactions to provide earlier, easier and more effective access to medications
WOONSOCKET, R.I., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- CVS Caremark discussed the role health IT is playing in optimizing the delivery of pharmacy health care at the HIMSS09 Annual Conference & Exhibition, in Chicago, IL. At the conference, Helena Foulkes, Executive Vice President at CVS Caremark, outlined how the company is evaluating and leveraging a variety of technologies to engage consumers and positively impact health outcomes and lower costs.
(Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20090226/NE75914LOGO )
"In today's wired world, consumers are exposed to a lot of information about their health care options from a variety of sources and in a number of different formats," says Foulkes. "Given the complexities of the health care system in general, this fragmented approach can leave consumers confused and unsure about what they need to do to stay healthy. CVS Caremark's Proactive Pharmacy Care approach leverages a number of different technology tools to engage and educate our patients and their health care providers about their pharmacy health care needs earlier in the process."
Foulkes discussed how CVS Caremark implements technology to enhance health care outcomes and how the combination of health technology and customized face-to-face interaction can positively impact medication compliance and engage consumers in their own health care. The technologies Foulkes reviewed in her presentation include tools to help improve medication compliance, e-prescribing, electronic health records, and a proprietary tool to help CVS Caremark prioritize interventions and allow for timely, coordinated patient-specific health improvement and cost-savings opportunities.
Ms. Foulkes' presentation "Proactive Pharmacy Care: Leveraging Technology for Improved Outcomes" took place during the HIMSS'09 Annual Conference & Exhibition on Sunday, April 5th from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in room S100 at McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, IL.

KENT, Conn., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless has expanded its network with a new cell site in Kent, Connecticut. The new cell site provides increased wireless voice and 3G coverage along Kent Road and Cornwall Road in Kent.
Verizon Wireless, originally the first wireless provider to offer 3G speeds, today has the largest and most reliable 3G network coverage area in the United States, giving customers with notebook computers or smartphones the ability to:
-- Browse the web faster with quicker page loading times
-- Quickly download and play music
-- Watch streaming video
-- Send emails with attachments
-- Download and play 3D games
-- Video conference with your contacts
-- Rapidly share files
"Verizon Wireless' 3G network coverage across New England is unparalleled," said director for Network System Performance for Verizon Wireless, Richard Enright. "We've invested billions of dollars into New England believing that even the most sophisticated cell phone is only as good as the network it runs on. Our continued aggressive network investments provide customers with a 3G network advantage at home and on vacation."
The company has invested more than $50 billion since its inception to increase the wireless voice and data coverage of its national network and to add new 3G services like Mobile Broadband and V CAST. Regionally the company has invested more than $2.4 billion into its New England network over the past nine years, including $240 million in 2008 alone. As the carrier with America's largest and most reliable wireless network, Verizon Wireless cell sites in New England provide 3G wireless data connectivity.
Mobile Broadband Internet Access
Verizon Wireless' 3G high-speed wireless broadband network keeps customers connected. With Mobile Broadband from Verizon Wireless, notebook computer users can access email, download files and browse the Internet at broadband speed (average download speeds of 600 kilobits per second (kbps) to 1.4 megabits per second and average upload speeds of 500-800 kbps). A one megabyte email attachment - the equivalent of a small PowerPoint(R) presentation or a large PDF file - can be downloaded in about eight seconds and uploaded in less than 13 seconds.
V CAST: Video and Music
Powered by the company's 3G high-speed network, V CAST multimedia services offer customers the ability to download full song tracks, play cutting-edge 3D games and stream video clips straight to their phones. With content updated daily, customers can watch dozens of on-demand videos, including breaking news, weather, sports highlights and the hottest entertainment clips.
V Cast Music with Rhapsody
The company's wireless broadband network also powers its V CAST Music with Rhapsody service, which combines Verizon Wireless' world-class, over-the-air mobile music service with Rhapsody's leading desktop solution. V CAST with Rhapsody delivers unlimited access to music on up to three Rhapsody-compatible mobile phones and players, and online on multiple PCs and Web browsers. With V CAST Music with Rhapsody, customers who purchase music over-the-air can download the master copy of the songs or albums to their PCs free of digital rights management (DRM) software that restricts how and where music can be played.
Most Reliable Wireless Network
The company's 'America's most reliable wireless network' reputation is based on network studies performed by real-life test men and test women throughout the country. By traversing more than one million miles annually on Interstate, U.S. and state highways, as well as major roads and surface streets in high-population areas - the equivalent of two roundtrips to the moon or 40 trips around the world - the test men and women confirm that voice calls and data connections are successful on the first attempt and stay connected. Vehicles are equipped with computers that automatically make more than three million voice call attempts and more than 16 million data tests annually on Verizon Wireless' network and the networks of other carriers.

Verizon Wireless operates the nation's most reliable and largest wireless voice and data network, serving more than 80 million customers.
