Deployments began in December for a contract valued at $1.9 million. Lintel deployments include 90 links of Eclipse high-capacity radios, which are optimized for networks with flexible, high-bandwidth capabilities and native gigabit Ethernet interfaces. The links extend network reach into remote areas across the two countries, as well as increase network reliability. LSI To Purchase AMCC 3ware RAID Adapter BusinessCombination to create best-in-class portfolio of host-bus RAID adapter solutions for distributors and system builders
MILPITAS, Calif., April 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- LSI Corporation today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the assets and certain associated intellectual property of the 3ware(R) RAID adapter business of Applied Micro Circuits Corporation for approximately $20 million in cash.
3ware products include SAS and SATA RAID adapters designed to offer cost-effective, high-performance, high-capacity storage solutions for a broad range of applications. 3ware adapters are sold to end users through a worldwide network of channel partners including leading storage distributors and system builders.

Sam's Club Launches Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Package for Practices to Help Improve Patient CareVirginia, Illinois and Georgia First States Targeted for Phased Implementation
BENTONVILLE, Ark., April 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- To help independent medical practitioners provide more timely care, reduce medical errors, eliminate paperwork and contain costs, Sam's Club, eClinicalWorks(R) and Dell announced today details of its turnkey electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management package, ideal for small physician practices. This first-of-its-kind partnership and package eliminates the traditional barriers to entry including cost and complexity and will help to increase adoption rates and improve overall patient care.

EMRs have the potential to reduce health care costs while improving the quality of care delivered according to health care experts. Unfortunately, adoption rates among physicians in the U.S. have remained low. A June 2008 survey published in the New England Journal of Medicine revealed only four percent of U.S. physicians providing direct patient care said they had a full EMR system, and only 13 percent said they had even a basic system.
The EMR package is available now in Virginia, Illinois and Georgia as part of a phased implementation. It is anticipated the package will be available to physicians nationwide this year.

For a three provider practice, it will cost less than $25,000 for the first provider and up to $10,000 for each additional provider. This is a fraction of the cost of traditional programs, making it more affordable for small independent healthcare practices.

Union City High School Students Participate in High School Success ProgramAT&T Foundation funds peer leadership and mentoring program
UNION CITY, N.J., April 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The Princeton Center for Leadership Training, Inc., today announced the expansion of a program to transition 9th graders in the Union City school district. Funded by a $400,000 grant awarded over four years by the AT&T Foundation, the Princeton Center for Leadership Training will launch Peer Group Connection (PGC), a peer leadership program, and Achievement Mentoring, an individual mentoring program, at Union City High School. Some 1,440 freshmen will participate in the program. Students, educators, and AT&T representatives will hold a kick-off event to announce the initiative on April 6, 10-11 a.m., at Union City High School.
"Ensuring that young people graduate from high school is a step that prepares them for the future workforce," said J. Michael Schweder, President, AT&T New Jersey. "We're pleased to support organizations throughout the state that motivate kids to stay in school and to strive to learn."

Qualcomm Voices Support for 3GPP's New In-band Modem Specification to Enhance Safety on European Roads

Cellcom Israel Announces Results of its Debenture Offering in Israel
NETANYA, Israel, April 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Cellcom Israel Ltd. (hereinafter: the "Company") announced today that the public tenders for its series D and series E debentures, previously announced on April 5, 2009, has been concluded The final pricing information relating to the public offering is as follows:
- NIS 185,970,000 principal amount of Series D debentures at
the price of NIS 1,161 per unit (each unit comprised of NIS 1,000
principal amount); the interest rate of this series is fixed at 5.19%
per annum, linked to the Israeli Consumer Purchase Index;
- NIS 788,667,000 principal amount of Series E debentures at
an interest rate of 6.25% per annum, without linkage; this series will
be sold at par value (NIS 1,000 per unit).
The closing of the offering is expected to occur on April 7 or 8, 2009.
