Warp 9 Announces Q3 ResultsReports third highest net income in Company's history

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., May 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Warp 9, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: WNYN), the premier provider of robust e-commerce platforms and services, announces financial results for its quarter ended March 31, 2009.

Highlights of the financial results for the quarter: -- Ten consecutive quarters of positive net income -- Net Income of $140,095 is the third highest in Company's history -- Gross Margin holding at greater than 90% -- A 93% reduction in long term debt since prior year -- The nine month income rose 46% to $360,132 compared to $247,462 for the prior year before a provision for income tax of ($168,126) -- Increase in working capital to $1,096,107, compared to $400,205 for the prior year

Warp 9's President and CEO, Harinder Dhillon, stated, "We are pleased to report on another profitable quarter's results. Like most retail oriented businesses, the contracting economy continues to impact our customers, as reflected in their spending cutbacks on professional services and delays in making outright purchasing decisions. However, we continue to believe that our approach in marketing our e-commerce platform as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model is the right strategy in an economic and retail environment that is clearly struggling and may continue to struggle for some time. We believe this provides us a significant advantage over our competitors as clients and prospects continue to seek lower capital expenditures and higher relative value in their e-commerce solutions. Moreover, our fiscal discipline over the last couple of years has left the company with a strong cash position and little debt, allowing us to continually make the necessary investment in sales and marketing required to win customers and grow our core business."

Warp 9 powers some of the most successful e-commerce websites for retailers such as http://www.magellans.com/, Craft Supplies USA flagship site http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/, Lehman's http://www.lehmans.com/, and Spiegel Brands' http://www.shapefx.com/.

Lockheed Martin to Support Utility-Scale Solar Power Plant in Arizona

MOORESTOWN, N.J., May 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Starwood Energy Group Global, LLC, and Arizona Public Service Co. today announced they signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), a precondition to Lockheed Martin's involvement to design and build the 290-megawatt Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plant that will bring more utility-scale renewable energy to Arizona.

The project, named Starwood Solar I, will be owned by an affiliate of Starwood Energy. Lockheed Martin, as Starwood Energy's exclusive partner, will serve as the project's Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor. To support the project, Lockheed Martin will leverage the expertise gained from its solar energy testbed, a full-scale solar collector assembly in Moorestown, NJ.

The PPA signing is the next step in building one of the world's largest CSP plants. The project is scheduled for completion in 2013, pending regulatory approval.

"Lockheed Martin is very pleased to partner on the Starwood Solar I project," said Chris Myers, Lockheed Martin vice president for Solar Energy programs. "Our expertise with engineering and production makes us uniquely qualified to serve as the project's EPC contractor. To drive to successful completion on this project, we are applying the kind of world class systems engineering and disciplined integration approaches that all of our domestic and international customers enjoy."

Starwood Solar I will be constructed on 1,880 acres that will contain more than 3,000 100-meter parabolic troughs. The plant will be built in the Harquahala Valley, approximately 75 miles west of Phoenix. It will produce enough electricity for nearly 73,000 APS customers.

"We are delighted to enter into such an important relationship with APS and the people of Arizona," said Brad Nordholm, Chief Executive Officer of Starwood Energy. "Along with Lockheed Martin, we look forward completing this project and providing cost-effective solar power for many decades."

In addition to its work in solar energy with Starwood Energy, Lockheed Martin is working with its customers to address the nation's energy and climate challenges in the areas of energy efficiency, management and storage, next-generation alternative energies, and climate monitoring.

Headquartered in Bethesda, Md., Lockheed Martin is a global security company that employs about 146,000 people worldwide and is principally engaged in the research, design, development, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced technology systems, products and services. IBM and Bulgarian Government in Partnership in NanoscienceIBM Helps Create First Nanotechnology Center in Central and Eastern Europe

SOFIA, Bulgaria, May 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- IBM and the Bulgarian government today officially announced their cooperation in the area of nanoscience and a deal for IBM to support the creation of what will be the first Bulgarian nanotechnology center.

    (Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20090416/IBMLOGO)

The General Framework Agreement signed today defines the scope of cooperation between IBM and the Bulgarian government and ways to encourage industry, universities and the Bulgarian Academy of Science to work together in the emerging field of nanoscience. The government's three-year program is aimed at creating different nanoproducts, micromachines and microsystems.

In a separate commercial agreement also being signed today, IBM technology and business consultants will assist the Bulgarian government in establishing a new nanotechnology research facility which will use state-of-the-art equipment to explore and develop new innovations in nanoscience. To enable the computing-intensive projects, the new laboratory will draw on IBM's Blue Gene -- the most powerful Bulgarian supercomputer, owned by Bulgarian State Agency for Information Technology and Communications

"Realising high-tech projects like this is key in the current environment when it is important to not only focus on short-term measures, but to also create the basis for future recovery," said Plamen Oresharski, Minister of Finance, Republic of Bulgaria. "We have a window of opportunity right now to transform industry to become more technology intense. This will not happen automatically, but requires dedicated effort, part of which is the current agreement with IBM."

"Today's agreement is a true step forward for Bulgaria and for its partnership with the United States," said Nancy McEldowney, US Ambassador to Bulgaria. "It positions Bulgaria as a leader in innovation, opening up many new possibilities and extending the horizon for both of our countries."

Once the center is created, its Bulgarian government intends to conduct applied research in the following areas:

-- Microfluidics and nanofluidics - to gain a better understanding of cells and tissues and other biological specimens to support drug toxicity testing and the development of new medicines. -- Nanosystems for electronics and sensing - using nanoscale sensors and actuators to support the development of point-of-care diagnostics, environmental monitoring (such as atmospheric pollution analysis) and security. -- Nanomaterials - advanced virtual substrates for compound semiconductors which could pave the way for future, nanoscale electronic circuitry.

"Bulgaria's important step into the world of nanoscience creates a global opportunity for the country and the region," said Marcelo Lema, General Manager, IBM Central and Eastern Europe. "IBM has been a leader in nanoscale science for many years and our participation in this project will support the accelerated success of the Bulgarian Nanotechnology Center. We see this type of collaboration as an emerging model for future industry-academic partnerships."

Due to be completed next year, the Bulgarian Nanotechnology Center will occupy nearly 500 square meters of laboratory space and will support researchers and engineers working in close collaboration with Bulgarian universities.

"According to Lux Research, nanotechnology will impact $2.9 trillion worth of products across the value chain by 2014," said Alex Rakov, Country General Manager, IBM Bulgaria. "I am extremely proud that IBM will help Bulgaria to be at the forefront of this trend and further support its efforts to become a knowledge based economy."

Nanotechnology is the field of applied science focused on the reliable and repeatable design and control of the structure of very small objects. The length scales range from the atomic to the macroscopic -- generally, from one to 100 nanometers. A nanometer is one-billionth of a meter -- roughly 100,000 times thinner than a human hair. Nanotechnology is expected to spark advances in various fields. These include advanced functional materials, nanoelectronics, information and communication technology, sensing, tools, healthcare and life sciences, and energy technology. Nanotech applications in the energy sector for example which ensure more efficient use of solar energy, or new ways of purifying or desalinating water, may even help tackle some of the biggest challenges of our time.

AT&T Announces the Eighth Season of 'AMERICAN IDOL' Smashes All-Time Record for Fan Engagement Through Text Messaging

DALLAS, May 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- A new judge, a new "judges' save" - and new milestones in fan engagement with AMERICAN IDOL. AT&T* reported today that more than 178 million text messages crossed its network as fans interacted with the country's No. 1 TV show this season - the highest total for any season and more than double the 78 million messages AT&T reported last year.

Text message traffic counted in the tally includes not only text votes but also other ways fans interact with the show via text, such as answering weekly trivia questions, opting in to receive voting number reminders, submitting questions to AT&T-hosted chat sessions with outgoing contestants, and participating in AT&T's sweepstakes.

AT&T also reports: -- More than twice as many AT&T customers played weekly Idol Trivia via text this season versus last. -- The number of AT&T customers who opted in to receive voting number reminders - a weekly text message listing all of the IDOLs and their voting numbers - was 70 percent higher than last season; fans who opted in for vote number reminders this season sent nearly twice as many text votes than did the overall voting population.

Additionally, IDOL contestants lit up AT&T's ringtone leaderboard this year. At one point during the week of May 10, AMERICAN IDOL tones comprised 15 of the top 100 ringtones.

"AMERICAN IDOL is a smash hit with our customers, so just as FOX raises the bar every year for the show, every season we work to bring our customers new ways to get their IDOL fix through our products and services," said Andy Wilson, vice president of national marketing for AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. "We feel this season was our best yet, evidenced not only by heavy texting traffic but in the great response to the other terrific IDOL-related content we made available."

The AT&T $1,000,000 Idol Sweepstakes was also a hit with IDOL fans. Kori Hoesel from Friendswood, Texas, received the grand prize--a trip to attend AMERICAN IDOL Finale festivities with her daughter and the opportunity to take home a cash prize up to $1 million. At the Finale festivities, Hoesel was presented with a choice of Samsung Propel phones from former IDOL contestants Carly Smithson, Kimberley Locke, Chikezie Eze, Chris Richardson, Melinda Doolittle, Diana DeGarmo, LaKisha Jones, Paris Bennett, Bo Bice, Hayley Scarnato, Vonzell Solomon, Blake Lewis and Mikalah Gordon. The Samsung Propel is one of the full-keyboard phones in AT&T's top-selling line of quick messaging phones designed with texters in mind. Each phone had been assigned a cash value, and Hoesel took home $50,000 as a result of her pick. More than 191,000 AT&T customers entered the sweepstakes.

For the first time this season, AT&T also gave fans a sneak peek of new videos from two past IDOL winners, Kelly Clarkson and David Cook. Clarkson previewed the video for her new hit single, "My Life Would Suck Without You," while Cook fans caught a glimpse of the video from his newest single, "Come Back To Me." Following previews during AMERICAN IDOL commercial breaks, full-length videos were available for fans to view directly from AT&T mobile phones, through the video-on-demand library on AT&T U-verse TV, and online at att.net.

"In today's economy, it is important to alleviate consumer concerns over many issues, including the potential of job loss," said Brunswick Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dustan E. McCoy. "So, we're addressing it in an effective and impactful manner within the marine community. These brands aim to restore some confidence for the American boat buyer so they can make their dream boat purchase this summer, because we stand behind them not only with quality products, but also with resourceful financing and insurance options."

Payment Protection is offered for all models in the Bayliner, Maxum and Trophy brand lines, with the qualifying monthly payments going up to $500, McCoy explained. Customers must take delivery of their new boats by July 6, 2009.

"These brands are among the first in the marine industry to launch such a large-scale payment protection program, taking our cue from similar efforts that have been used successfully in the automotive industry by Hyundai, Ford and General Motors," said President of Brunswick's US Marine and Outboard Boat Group divisions, Andy Graves. "We're helping our dealers remove an important barrier to sales and reduce their inventories, while also offering true peace of mind for our boat customers. People are understandably anxious in this economy. Payment protection can help allay some of those fears, and help more of our customers experience the joy of boating this summer."

Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, Residents to Benefit from Verizon Wireless Network ExpansionInvesting to Stay Ahead of Growing Demand for Wireless Calling, Data Access, and Music

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J., May 22 /PRNewswire/ -- In anticipation of Memorial Day weekend and the start of the summer season, Verizon Wireless has expanded its network with a new cell site in Egg Harbor Township. The new site increases coverage and capacity along Ocean Heights Avenue and Zion Road.

The network expansion is part of an aggressive multi-billion dollar network investment each year (more than $1 billion every 90 days) to stay ahead of the growing demand for Verizon Wireless' voice and data services. Verizon Wireless has spent more than $80 million in the first quarter alone to expand and enhance its wireless network across central, northeastern and southeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and Delaware, bringing the network investment in the region to more than $1.3 billion since 2001. Nationally, the company has invested more than $50 billion since it was formed -- $5.5 billion on average every year -- to increase the coverage and capacity of its premier nationwide network and to add new services, including wireless data services such as picture messaging and text messaging and the company's exclusive V CAST service. V CAST brings video clips of TV shows, music on demand and other multimedia services to wireless phones over Verizon Wireless' high-speed EV-DO network. Verizon Wireless' high-speed third generation wireless broadband network has been enhanced with EV-DO Rev. A technology. This enhancement allows customers who use the company's flagship business data service, Mobile Broadband, to interact with Web-based applications, download music over-the-air, access to e-mail, everyday corporate data, the Internet, and more at speeds that are eight to nine times faster than before. For example, Mobile Broadband customers with Rev. A compatible devices can now expect average download speeds of 600 kilobits per second (kbps) to 1.4 megabits per second and average upload speeds of 500-800 kbps, which means customers can download a 1 megabyte e-mail attachment -- the equivalent of a small PowerPoint(R) presentation or a large PDF file -- in about eight seconds and upload the same sized file in less than 13 seconds.

Strong demand for Verizon Wireless services continued during the first quarter of 2009 as the company added 1.3 million net new customers. For the 18th consecutive quarter, Verizon Wireless also led the wireless industry with an all-time high in customer loyalty. The company posted a churn (customer turnover) rate of just 1.47 percent, well below the rate reported by the other major wireless carriers.

Verizon Wireless tests its network and those of its competitors to ensure the Verizon Wireless network remains the Nation's most reliable. Nationally, Verizon Wireless' real-life test men and women drive 90 specially equipped vehicles almost 1 million miles annually on interstate, U.S. and state highways as well as major roads and surface streets in high-population areas, based upon U.S. Census counts, to determine if voice calls and data connections are successful on the first attempt and stay connected. Vehicles are equipped with computers that automatically make more than three million voice call attempts and more than 16 million data tests annually on Verizon Wireless' network and the networks of other carriers.

    About Verizon Wireless

Verizon Wireless operates the nation's most reliable and largest wireless voice and data network, serving more than 86.6 million customers. More 3G Wireless Coverage for Santa Clarita, California ResidentsNew Verizon Wireless cell site also adds capacity to stay ahead of demand for calls, email and text

IRVINE, Calif., May 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Los Angeles County residents, businesses and visitors are enjoying improved service thanks to a new Verizon Wireless cell site. The site expands 3G wireless coverage in Santa Clarita, around the Centre Pointe business area near Golden Valley and Soledad Canyon Roads. The increase in network coverage and capacity means more calls, emails, text and picture messages for locals, plus expanded wireless access to the web.

Verizon Wireless invested over $600 million in California during 2008 to enhance service and coverage. Nationally, the company has invested more than $48 billion in its network since it was formed in 2000. The result is the nation's largest, most reliable 3G network that powers services such as Mobile Broadband and email.

Businesses of any size can tap into the power of Mobile Broadband. The service allows users to connect to the Internet wirelessly while on the go to download music over-the-air, and access e-mail or corporate data. For example, customers can download a small 1 megabyte PowerPoint(R) presentation in about eight seconds and upload the same-sized file in less than 13 seconds.

Small business owners interested in Mobile Broadband, and other wireless solutions, can visit http://smallbusiness.vzw.com/ where they will find:

American Airlines and HP Survey Shows Bigger Connection Between Travel and Technology in 2009

FORT WORTH, Texas, May 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- What do tech-savvy frequent flyers want most? The desire to stay connected via Wi-Fi topped the technology requests, according to a new study conducted by American Airlines and HP.

The recent survey among frequent flyers shows how flyers continue to rely on technology to meet their business and travel needs.

More than 47 percent of business travelers surveyed indicated Wi-Fi was the most important airport amenity, outscoring basic travels needs such as food by nearly 30 percentage points.

"We know that our business customers rely on technology to be as productive as possible while on the road," said Manuel de Oyarzabal, Director - Customer Research at American Airlines. "As part of understanding our best customers, the insight from this survey will help us develop and market additional products that our customers value."

Sponsored by HP, the American Airlines Customer Research online study was conducted with more than 1,500 frequent travelers who log more than 20 trips a year on three or more airlines. Key findings included:

-- Biggest Complaint: Dead PC batteries. A combined 67.7 percent of frequent travelers surveyed said a dead battery (41.4 percent) and no place to plug in (26.3 percent) were their largest complaints. Power outlets also are in high demand at the gate and onboard the flight. Twenty-four percent said access to electrical power is the most important technology amenity aboard a plane. -- Almost No One Travels Without Technology. More than 90 percent of frequent travelers surveyed have a notebook and phone in hand. If Wi-Fi were enabled onboard, 70.5 percent would choose their notebook as their primary device for conducting business-related work, with mobile phones (with telephony turned off) at a distant second at 19.8 percent. -- Work Efficiency Drops Dramatically in the Air. Business travelers say they can work efficiently at the airport and their hotels, but efficiency drops dramatically onboard the plane. More than 96 percent of respondents conduct work-related activities at their hotels. Eighty-five percent conduct work-related activities at the airport, but this number drops to 52.6 percent onboard a flight. Travelers say they scramble to conduct work-related items (for example, sending e-mails, making calls) at the gate before they take off (76 percent).

"Business travelers expect connectivity and see it as a necessity, not a luxury," said Carol Hess-Nickels, Director of Marketing in the Notebook Global Business Unit at HP. "HP understands these demands and has put forward a broad range of mobile products for on-the-go professionals."

American Airlines offers power ports on all of its mainline aircraft, available at each seat in First and Business class, as well as selected rows in the Economy cabin. Outlets may be used to operate laptop computers and charge cell phones and other devices with a maximum 75-watt capacity. As part of its fleet enhancement, American's new 737-800s will have additional 110V AC power ports available: two per row on each side of the aisle in Economy class and one at each seat in First Class.

Earlier this year, American announced it had completed the trial stage of its inflight Internet service and has decided to install Gogo(R) Inflight Internet on more than 300 domestic aircraft over the next two years. The expansion will help American, which last August became the first U.S. airline to launch the Gogo service, further enhancing its customers' travel experience and meet their evolving travel needs.

More information on the survey results, HP notebook PCs, and other HP mobility solutions is available in an online press kit at http://www.hp.com/personal. For more information and to book flights on American Airlines, visit http://www.aa.com/.

    Methodology

The survey was conducted via e-mail by American Airlines Customer Research to their loyal customer database between Feb. 19 - 26, 2009. The statistics are based on 1,582 respondents who have taken more than 20 trips domestically or internationally during the past 12 months.

York, Pennsylvania Residents to Benefit from Verizon Wireless Network ExpansionInvesting to Stay Ahead of Growing Demand for Wireless Calling, Data Access, and Music

YORK, Pa., May 22 /PRNewswire/ -- In a continuing effort to provide the best wireless service for its customers in York County, Verizon Wireless has expanded its network with a new cell site. The new site increases coverage and capacity along Routes 30, 234 and 462, as well as along both Taxville and Derry Road. The many industries located in the area of West Market Street (Route 462), Zarfoss Road, Gillespie Drive and Dill Road will also experience enhanced coverage as a result of the construction of this new cell site.

This enhancement allows customers who use the company's flagship business data service, Verizon Wireless Mobile Broadband, to interact with Web-based applications, download music over-the-air, and access e-mail, everyday corporate data, the Internet, and more at speeds that are eight to nine times faster than before.

Headquartered in Basking Ridge, N.J., with more than 86,000 employees nationwide, Verizon Wireless is a joint venture of Verizon Communications and Vodafone (NYSE and LSE: VOD). Report: IBM Ranked #1 in Web Portal Software Market Share

ARMONK, N.Y., May 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- IBM today announced that IT analyst firm Gartner, Inc., has ranked IBM as the worldwide market share leader in the Portal Products and User Interaction Tools enterprise software segment. The ranking was based on total worldwide software revenue for 2008.(1)

    (Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20090522/NY21491-a ) (Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20090522/NY21491-b ) (Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20090522/NY21491-c ) (Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20090522/NY21491-d ) (Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20090416/IBMLOGO )

A rise in IBM's healthcare client engagements contributed to its portal success. More than 6,500 IBM clients use IBM's Web 2.0-enhanced WebSphere Portal software. IBM has seen an especially large jump in new portal business from healthcare clients worldwide including Catholic Healthcare West, Children's Medical Center of Dallas, Healthways, MedStar Health, Memorial Health, and Trillium Health Centre. IBM WebSphere Portal is also used by four of the top five US healthcare insurance companies, Blue Cross Blue Shield organizations in 33 states, more than 30 major hospitals, clinics, and delivery networks worldwide, and more than 12 on-line healthcare provider sites servicing more than 20,000 users each.

"Portal software connects all stake holders, enables communication, collaboration and process efficiency, and promotes better work flow and information sharing," said Benoit Long, vice president and CIO of Trillium Health Centre, an Ontario, Canada hospital that has developed multiple portals over the last five years. "We connect thousands of staff and clinicians at our multiple locations, and we are now in the process of connecting patients involved in chronic disease management, particularly diabetes, and their providers through patient and provider portals."

IBM Portals have also been well received in the financial industry. This IBM software is being used by the top 10 global banks, nine of the top 10 U.S. banks, seven of the top 10 European banks, and eight of the top 10 Asia Pacific banks.

"Portal technology is exploding due to the unique combination of cost savings and exceptional Web experiences achievable with the latest technologies. IBM WebSphere Portal software has delivered Web 2.0 innovations, and preserved customers' existing investments, all with reliable security and manageability," said Larry Bowden, vice president, IBM Portal and Mashups.

IBM portal customers in other industries include Abbott Labs, Australian Social Security, Bayer Schering, Bombardier, Border States, College.gov, Isuzu, Finnish Defense, Harley Davidson, Knoxville Utilities Board, Lamborghini, Nissan, the Navy Federal Credit Union, Prudential, Volkswagen, University of London, Yulon Motors, and TRI-WEST, a flooring company. IBM clients that use IBM WebSphere Portal for service-oriented architecture-based IT systems include the Stockholm-based Swedish Road Administration and Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings of Purchase, N.Y.

"IBM's portal and Web Content Management software has helped Slumberland survive and thrive in a challenging economy," said Jamie Page, Director of Information Services, Slumberland, a Minnesota-based company that does business in 10 states. Slumberland corporate headquarters needed a better way to communicate with its more than 100 geographically dispersed stores.

It had been relying on phone calls, faxes, and the postal service, but those methods were inconvenient and sometimes expensive. In addition to a better communication option, Slumberland sought a Web-based portal that would enable store agents to access the company's critical information and applications.

Using IBM WebSphere Portal software, Slumberland developed an intranet portal that enables its headquarters to disseminate corporate messages to stores. It also allows employees to access several of the company's applications. Slumberland also installed IBM's Web Content Management application to act as the Web content repository for the portal. In addition, the client deployed IBM Lotus Sametime for instant messaging.

By installing IBM software, Slumberland changed the way it works by allowing automated work flow and updates to critical software. The stores benefit from faster, simpler communication among stores, reduced paper consumption and operational costs. Self-service functions within the portal reduce the number of calls to the corporate help desk and afford each store a personalized view of the intranet for every store through an easy-to-access, easy-to-use interface.

Most importantly, Slumberland has created a foundation for all future applications and activities on IBM software.

IBM WebSphere Portal software, version 6.1 is designed to securely combine information from both corporate enterprises and the Web. The new software has Web 2.0 features that help people be more productive and find information faster. Its live text feature allows a user to click on text -- in the context of the business process being used -- and see supporting information related to the job at hand. For example, when a salesperson clicks on the address of a client, a map with driving directions could appear, or an electronic business card could pop up when clicking on a person's name.

IBM just made available a new offering called Industry Toolboxes for WebSphere Portal which provides a resource forum for customers and partners to give best-practice guidance for specific industry challenges. This vertical industry focus aligns with the way customers are purchasing IT today. See http://www.ibm.com/websphere/portal/industry for more information.

In addition to its use by healthcare, insurance, and financial organizations, IBM WebSphere Portal is also popular with governments worldwide. IBM WebSphere Portal is used by every G8 country, 10 of the 16 Middle East countries, 22 U.S. states, and 40 U.S. Federal agencies. IBM prospective clients can experiment with the latest version of WebSphere Portal software through IBM Lotus Greenhouse, a Web site where anyone can register to try out IBM WebSphere Portal, IBM's new Mashup Center, Lotus Connections, Lotus Forms, Lotus Quickr and Lotus Sametime. This provides clients with a safe and easy way to evaluate these products without installing them in their own environments.

AnalogicTech Comments on United States Court of Appeals Ruling

SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Advanced Analogic Technologies, Inc. (AnalogicTech(TM)) , a developer of total power management integrated circuits, today commented on the ruling by the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. The ruling affirmed-in-part, reversed-in-part and vacated-in-part the Final Determination of the United States International Trade Commission's (ITC) relating to U.S. Patent No. 6,580,258 ('258 Patent) owned by Linear Technology Corporation (Linear). The case is now remanded to the ITC for proceedings consistent with yesterday's ruling. Importantly, AnalogicTech's earlier victory in its dispute with Linear over U.S. Patent No. 6,411,531 was completely unaffected by this decision.

    (Logo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20050829/SFTU089LOGO)

"The multiple rulings made by the U.S. Court of Appeals, while reflecting the complexity of issues involved in cases of this type, does not impact the importation of our products by our customers," stated Richard K. Williams, President, CTO and CEO of AnalogicTech. "The effect on the Company remains consistent, in that the products affected by today's ruling constitute only a tiny and declining percentage of the Company's total revenue, and AnalogicTech has several newer generations of switching regulators that remain unaffected by this decision. It is, and has been, our plan to focus our efforts on these newer designs."

EMC Integrates With Cisco to Help Enterprises Enhance Security Operations and Threat ResponseRSA, the Security Division of EMC, Integrates with Cisco Mobility Solutions to Combine Security Intelligence with Geo-location Technology, Helping Accelerate Threat Identification and Response

LAS VEGAS, May 22 /PRNewswire/ -- INTEROP 2009 -- RSA, The Security Division of EMC , today announced it has integrated the RSA enVision(R) security information and event management (SIEM) solution with the Cisco(R) Mobility Services Engine (MSE) platform. This integration can help organizations to enhance IT operations, enforce security policy and accelerate response to security threats by providing IT professionals with actionable event information that is designed to include the real-time, physical location of users, hosts and devices connected to wired and wireless networks.

"With today's increasingly mobile workforce, keeping data safe can be a challenge. Knowing end-user location is a critical piece of information for determining security policy and has been a missing component in many SIEM solutions," says Andrew Braunberg, Research Director, Current Analysis. "The ability to set consistent and centralized security policy across mobile services is further enabled with the inclusion of location data."

    Improve Wireless Policies

Pulling data from the Cisco Mobility Services Engine, the RSA enVision platform is engineered to provide customers with data on the physical location of stationary and mobile users and how they are using computing and network resources inside and outside the workplace. This means that IT professionals can formulate wireless policies that properly reflect business requirements and avoid putting in place controls that impede legitimate business traffic.

Reducing Security Risk -- Driving Security Efficiency

When integrated with the Cisco Mobility Services Engine, the RSA enVision platform allows customers to shorten the time-to-resolution for security investigations by providing the physical location of users and hosts along with the security alert. This can help IT security teams identify and respond to threats faster with even more targeted information that includes physical location.

Providing the physical location to pinpoint security incidents eliminates manual steps cross-referencing IT assets with threat data. The ability to prioritize different events quickly and how they relate to each other through a single view cuts overall costs and enhances security operations.

RSA's enVision platform is designed to capture thousands to millions of event and audit log data entries from hundreds to thousands of network, security, host, application and storage devices within the enterprise and quickly transforms this information into valuable intelligence which security and IT professionals can use to pinpoint potential problems and make informed decisions to help reduce overall security risk. From a security operations perspective, this information can be used to create a closed-loop incident handling process that starts with real-time alerting of security threats and policy violations.

"More than 1700 customers worldwide use RSA enVision SIEM to enhance security operations, streamline compliance and optimize network operations. This integration with the Cisco Mobility Services Engine allows us to offer customers a smarter, more powerful way to evaluate risk and further enhance security," said Chris Young, Senior Vice President of Products at RSA, The Security Division of EMC. "Alongside our parent company EMC, we look forward to continuing this kind of inventive collaboration with Cisco, by combining our products to create innovative solutions designed to help protect our customers while helping fortify the IT security ecosystem against a constantly changing threat landscape."

Cisco and EMC have a long-standing strategic alliance, combining the strength of two global industry leaders in networking and storage solutions and management. The alliance is focused on helping customers consolidate, virtualize and automate their data centers to provide improved business responsiveness, increased efficiency, ease of management, protection and security.

    Integration Availability

The RSA enVision and Cisco Mobility Services Engine integration is generally available worldwide now via the RSA enVision platform.
