Proper Power & Energy Geologist Robert Dunbar Perfects Radiometrics Plus Technology

TAMPA, Fla., July 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Proper Power & Energy, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: PPWE) announced today Geologist, Robert Dunbar, used Radiometric Plus technology on their Utah property to determine the probability of oil and gas and gave the property an HMI rating of 1. Radiometrics is a measure of the natural radiation in the earth's surface, which can tell us about the distribution of certain soils and rocks.

Mr. Dunbar is a renowned geophysicist and geologist who, for the last thirty years, has been working with a method for finding oil reserves called radiometrics. In the last five years, Mr. Dunbar has perfected a new method of radiometrics testing called Radiometric Plus, which has a much higher degree of accuracy than the standard radiometric system. Mr. Dunbar has found approximately 1000 oil producing wells using this radiometric technique.

Mr. Dunbar and his partner Don Metcalf created a system of numbers called hydrocarbon migration index numbers (HMI) that range from 1 to 30 and these are inversely proportionate to the amount of vertical gas migration at the surface. The 1s have been noted over extremely good wells; the 2s are very good wells; 3s and 4s are fair wells; 5, 6, and 7 are fair to poor; 8 through 13 are poor to very poor wells; 13 to 29 are extremely poor; and 30 has no sign of gas migration to the surface.

Robert Dunbar stated, "Radiometric Plus is a truly amazing advancement in the science of finding oil reserves. Since finding oil is a percentage game, you need to increase your odds as much as you can, and we have done that with Radiometric Plus because it increases the chances for success to 95 percent, which is 20 percent higher than the standard radiometrics 75 percent accuracy level."

Mr. Dunbar was hired directly out of college by Amoco as a geophysicist in 1957 when major oil companies were just starting to hire such specialists. After 16 years with Amoco, he spent ten years with Diamond Shamrock as a senior geophysicist. Mr. Dunbar has vast experience in many domestic oil and gas regions and with virtually any technological tool that exists in the industry. His geologic evaluations incorporate seismic studies, studies of well log data and well core samples, gravity studies, and his proprietary Advanced Radiometric surveys. His experience with seismic interpretation and his confirmation techniques have enabled him to come into contact with many regional geologists and geophysicists who have hired him to consult on their projects. This has given him a truly continental view of exploration plays and what we believe to be the largest exploratory projects in the United States.

    About Proper Power & Energy:

DALLAS, July 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- With one of the most patriotic U.S. holidays ahead, AT&T* has military families top of mind. With the help of the USO, AT&T is donating more than 30,000 prepaid phone cards with a retail value of more than $150,000 to military personnel stationed overseas in 2009.

Announced today at the AT&T National Golf Tournament in Bethesda, Md., AT&T is working with the USO to distribute the first 20,000 prepaid cards of the year at overseas military bases and during USO entertainment tours in the weeks surrounding Independence Day 2009. The donation is in honor of U.S. veterans around the world, whether they are on active duty or have a son, daughter, husband, wife or loved one who is actively serving.

In the weeks surrounding Independence Day, the USO is helping AT&T distribute thousands of phone cards to troops throughout Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, South Korea, Japan, Italy and Germany, including personally handing cards to wounded military members at Landsthul Regional Medical Center. AT&T and Cell Phones for Soldiers Celebrate Two Years of Recycling and 3.6 Million Milestone to Support Military Families With Free CallsSecond Year of Recycling Work Connects Military Families with 350,000-Plus Free Phones Cards Both Empower Youth to Make A Difference for Military Families and the Environment

DALLAS, July 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- At more than 3.6 million recycled cell phones and counting since July 2007, Cell Phones for Soldiers (CPFS) and AT&T* are sharing fireworks with patriots, environmentalists, and young people across the country this Independence Day. Sparking more enthusiasm for the cause, the two are launching a new "double duty" advocacy campaign that empowers young people of all ages to make a difference this summer for military families and the environment by recycling wireless phones through social media and recycling drives.

CPFS uses the proceeds from recycling used wireless phones to buy free phone cards for military members away from home. Since July 2007, AT&T has been offering wireless users two simple ways to donate phones for the cause: Wireless customers of any carrier can drop off used cell phones and accessories at any of the 2,000-plus AT&T stores across the U.S. Or, they can download free shipping labels from http://www.att.com/recyclewireless.

In its second year of work with AT&T (July 2008-July 2009), CPFS has recycled more than 2.1 million phones, an increase of more than 43 percent versus the same time last year. And, the charity used its 2008-2009 recycling proceeds to send more than 350,000 prepaid phone cards to the troops to help them stay in touch with friends and family for free. AT&T and CPFS are celebrating the two-year anniversary in a few ways:

-- AT&T will continue to collect phones for recycling in all 2,000-plus retail locations through 2010. Partial proceeds from these collections will continue to support CPFS -- and its mission to connect military families with free phone cards. -- Through August 2009, AT&T and CPFS are working with the American Camp Association (ACA) to reach over 2 million children, tweens, and teens across the country with the patriotic and environmental cause. ACA outdoor camps are competing to collect the most phones and create the most environmentally friendly and most creative recycling bins. -- AT&T volunteers are handing out roughly 20,000 free CPFS recycling mailer bags to visitors attending the AT&T National in Bethesda, Md., this week, giving golf fans an easy way to recycle old wireless devices after they depart from the event. -- Recycling efforts with CPFS will also extend through AT&T-sponsored music festivals this summer and Campus MovieFest this fall, which is estimated to reach more than a million college students across the country.

The two-year anniversary follows another recycling milestone: A successful Earth Day challenge. With AT&T, CPFS invited wireless customers to join the effort to recycle at least 1.8 million devices between Earth Day 2008 and Earth Day 2009. In that time, the charity collected more than 2.5 million wireless devices for recycling.

    Recycling with ACA Campers

Recycling work with ACA-affiliated camps across the U.S. begins this month and runs through the end of the summer. Competing children and youths will create their own recycling bins and post photos of them to a dedicated online site. AT&T will also house key photos via its Flickr channel and Facebook page. The most environmentally friendly and the most creative bins will be recognized. CPFS teen founders will visit a camp at the close of the contest to recognize every camp's recycling work, including the camp that recycles the most phones.

"It's important for children and young people to know that they can make a difference," said CPFS co-founder Brittany Bergquist. "Robbie and I are really glad we stuck with our idea for Cell Phones for Soldiers, especially when we hear from soldiers we're working to support. We celebrate the ACA campers and the many AT&T leaders, employees and volunteers who are working with us to make a difference for the troops and the environment. It doesn't have to be Independence Day or Earth Day or any other holiday to remember that recycling with us is helping people all over the world stay in touch with people they love."

Since 2008, the AT&T Pioneers, a network of more than 300,000 AT&T volunteers has been working to expand the charity's cell phone donation drives into communities across the U.S. Since last spring, volunteer efforts have generated more than 25,000 wireless phones for recycling, and volunteers continue to collect phones in corporate offices and community locations.

Free online tools are also available to support community groups and help individuals launch and conduct their own donation drives with a new electronic "starter kit," available at http://www.att.com/recyclewireless.

Patriot Data Solutions Group Presents at 2009 NIEM National Training EventPDSG Subject Matter Experts Present Papers

SAN DIEGO, July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Patriot Data Solutions Group, Inc. ("PDSG"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Patriot Scientific Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: PTSC), announced today that two papers authored by PDSG employees have been selected for presentation at the 2009 NIEM National Training Event in Baltimore, Maryland in September.

The National Information Exchange Model ("NIEM") was launched in 2005 as a federal, state, local and tribal interagency initiative providing a foundation for seamless information exchange using a common lexicon and an on-line repository of information exchange package documents. It leverages the global data exchange standards efforts and extends the Global Justice XML Data Model (GJXDM) to facilitate timely, secure information sharing across the whole of the justice, public safety, emergency and disaster management, intelligence, and homeland security enterprise. More information may be found at http://www.niem.gov/.

Summaries of the papers are as follows: "Business Process Modeling Revisited for IEPD Development and Deployment"

A discussion of the usage of the Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) and the Justice Information Exchange Modeling (JIEM) Tool as orthogonal components for Information Sharing Project Development and Deployment. In addition, a discussion on the relative value for each modeling approach for various project types will take place. The needs of the different project types also demonstrate a need for using multiple tools for capturing all of the relevant information necessary and thereby present the case for being able to share the underlying models between tools and the method by which this interchange can be realized.

"Implementation of NIEM 2.0 for the MIOC Federated Query"

A discussion on how the reuse of the LEX\SAR IEPD was implemented to provide the Michigan Intelligence Operation Center, a standardized view of information gathered though federated query and response services. The use case covers how varying query service data requirements and standards (GJXDM, NCIC, local APIs, etc.) and response formats and content were captured and normalized to generate a single business object repository. The repository provided a mapping for transforming the variations into a common data model to provide the end user a single view of the information.

The NIEM event will be held at the Hilton Baltimore from September 30 to October 2, 2009 and will provide valuable guidance, tools, and resources via concurrent sessions covering subjects of interest to executives, program managers, system architects, and implementers to assist them in their efforts to share mission-critical information. The event will include presentations, best practices, panel discussions and workshops of interest to both government and industry. Papers were sought from practitioners, private sector and educators that support the nationwide implementation and use of NIEM in a variety of domains, including justice, public safety, homeland security, health and human services, maritime, courts, and corrections.

    About PDSG

FlexTech Alliance Awards Uni-Pixel Displays, Inc. Contract for the Development of Its Roll to Roll Conductor Patterning ProcessCompany's Research Provides the Potential to Improve Roll to Roll Printed Conductor Line Patterning Capabilities for Displays and Flexible Printed Circuitry, While Reducing Cost of Production

THE WOODLANDS, Texas, July 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Uni-Pixel, Inc. (BULLETIN BOARD: UNXL) , the developer of a color display technology called Time Multiplexed Optical Shutter ("TMOS") and the FlexTech Alliance, today announced that UniPixel has been awarded a contract by the FlexTech Alliance for further advancement of its Roll to Roll Conductor Patterning Capabilities that it has developed for its Opcuity(TM) Active Layer Films. During the course of development of the unique polymer films used in the company's TMOS displays, UniPixel has pioneered a method to use an inkjet printing system to pattern conductors on films at significantly thinner trace widths than previously achieved. This discovery provides the potential to enhance roll to roll printed electronics manufacturing by dramatically improving flexible printed circuitry, while at the same time reducing the cost of production.

UniPixel has developed methods that use surface structure and surface chemistry to achieve sub-5 micron trace widths on the surface of flexible substrates. Currently this process is conducted in a batch environment at UniPixel where the methods and results have been well refined. This contract and grant from the FlexTech Alliance serves to recognize this industry leading capability and provide support to demonstrate this process for conductor patterning in a continuous flow system.

"We're pleased by the support being provided to us by the FlexTech Alliance to further develop our conductor patterning capabilities for our Opcuity film technology and the industry. We have worked to solve many challenges in the development of our TMOS display technology and this capability represents one of those accomplishments," noted Reed Killion, President and CEO of UniPixel.

"At the time of the development work, we did it out of necessity for TMOS. It was later on as we communicated our work during our participation with the FlexTech that we realized that this capability was truly leading edge within the industry. We are hopeful that our achievement and its applications for the electronics industry can help to usher in a new era of display and flexible electronics manufacturing," Killion added.

"We are pleased to have Uni-Pixel work with FlexTech and industry partners to further refine their TMOS process to facilitate the transition from current batch methods to a continuous flow system, such as roll-to-roll," commented Michael Ciesinski, CEO of FlexTech Alliance. "UniPixel's technology and process can dramatically improve the production of flexible printed circuitry while offering reduced production costs through roll to roll production techniques."

UniPixel will work through the contract term to further refine, apply to industry standard requirements for electronics, and then to transition its conductor patterning capabilities to a Flextech Alliance and industry supported development facility. This approach will allow the technology to be evaluated and leveraged by a broad set of companies that participate in the production of electronics. It also will benefit UniPixel by providing expanded resources, expertise, and external support to the development and transition process.

Current Technology Reports LunarEYE's Successful Termination of USPTO Reexamination and Enhancement of Its 6,484,035 Patent

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, July 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Current Technology Corporation ("OTCBB:CRTCF") is pleased to report the United States Patent and Trademark Office ("USPTO") has terminated the reexamination proceeding initiated by WebTech Wireless Inc. ("WebTech") by issuing a Notice of Intent to Issue Ex Parte Reexamination Certificate confirming the complete validity of LunarEYE Inc.'s ("LunarEYE") Patent Number 6,484,035 (the "035 Patent"). "I believe every issue was resolved in our favor," stated lead patent reexamination attorney Robb Edmonds. "The favorable decision from the reexamination proceeding enhances the validity of the patent, and afforded us the opportunity to add twenty-one new claims that further distinguish over the prior art. These new claims can be used to further assert infringement at trial. More importantly, no claims were amended during the reexamination so any intervening rights defense has been foreclosed."

Chuck Allen, Inventor, LunarEYE Founder and CEO, stated, "In retrospect the reexamination of my 035 Patent initiated by WebTech was very beneficial to us. In addition to reconfirming the validity of Claim Three, it allowed us to strengthen our intellectual property by adding twenty-one additional claims to the patent. My patent has even more teeth now thanks to the reexamination. For that I am very thankful."

"Ex parte reexaminations are often likened to sudden death over-time for the patent owner, because the patent owner has a limited time to prepare an answer to the Patent Office and everything is on the line," continued Mr. Allen. "Robb Edmonds did a remarkable job in the time allowed explaining the technology to the Patent Office and the differences of our patent over the prior art. I would like to express my gratitude for his attention to detail, judgment and knowledge."

"We have already notified the United States District Court, and are pursuing the earliest available trial setting," commented Armi Easterby, LunarEYE's lead trial counsel. "It is important to note that due to the District Court's order that stayed this case pending reexamination, WebTech cannot argue invalidity at trial based on the prior art they submitted in the reexamination proceedings. Theoretically, WebTech can still attempt to argue it doesn't infringe the patent, but there is no doubt that LunarEYE is in a much stronger position now than before the reexamination."

Commenting on the stay, Mr. Edmonds concluded, "I suspect the stay will soon be lifted, and the chances of them obtaining a second stay from the Court are remote."

"As we said at the outset, LunarEYE will now diligently seek a permanent injunction prohibiting WebTech or its customers from importing, selling, or using any infringing products in the United States, which historically accounts for roughly 40% of their business," concluded Mr. Easterby.

"We believe this is an important decision," stated Current Technology CEO Robert Kramer. "While we do not have a direct financial interest in LunarEYE, we have a significant indirect interest by reason of our 62% ownership of Celevoke, Inc. ("Celevoke"). Celevoke has a non-exclusive license from LunarEYE to manufacture, market and sell Telematics solutions using the 035 Patent. We further believe this outcome validates our decision to invest in Celevoke, and congratulate Chuck Allen and his exceptional team."

    About Celevoke

Celevoke is poised to become a market leader in the projected $38.3 billion (by 2011) global market for Machine to Machine technology (M2M) (according to ABI Research), which is the integrated use of telecommunications and informatics. More specifically, it is the science of sending, receiving and storing information wirelessly between machines via telecommunication devices. Celevoke has patented integrated Telematics and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) with sensing technology. This proprietary suite of hardware and software products enables users to remotely monitor, track, control parameters and protect a wide variety of asset classes. Examples include people, meters, automobiles, motorcycles, trucks, shipping containers and covert vehicles used for law enforcement and intelligence gathering in a global marketplace. Celevoke is 62% owned by Current Technology Corporation.

This news release contains forward-looking statements regarding future events and Current Technology's future results that are subject to the safe harbors created under the Securities Act of 1933 (the "Securities Act") and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (the "Exchange Act"). ARLINGTON, Va., July 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CACI International Inc announced today that it has appointed The Honorable James S. Gilmore III, former Governor of Virginia, and General William Scott Wallace, USA (Ret.), former Commanding General of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, to CACI's Board of Directors. The new directors bring an exceptional history of leadership and distinguished service to the nation, offering unique expertise that will provide strong support for CACI's business.

During his term as Virginia's executive leader, from 1998 to 2002, Governor Gilmore created the nation's first secretariat of technology, established a statewide technology commission, and signed into law the nation's first comprehensive state Internet policy. He also chaired the U.S. Congressional Advisory Panel to Assess Domestic Response Capabilities Involving Terrorism and Weapons of Mass Destruction, a national panel established by Congress to assess federal, state, and local government capabilities to respond to the consequences of a terrorist attack. Also known as the "Gilmore Commission," this panel was influential in developing the Office of Homeland Security. In 2003, President George W. Bush appointed him to the Air Force Academy Board of Visitors, and he was elected Chairman of the Air Force Board in the fall of 2003. Governor Gilmore was also Virginia's Attorney General from 1993 to 1997. His military career includes service as a U.S. Army counterintelligence agent in West Germany from 1971 to 1974. Governor Gilmore is a 1971 graduate of the University of Virginia and a 1977 graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law.

Governor Gilmore's board experience includes serving as Chairman of the Board of Everquest Financial Ltd. He is currently a member of the boards of directors of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. and Cypress Communications, Inc. and served on the board of Barr Pharmaceuticals from 2002 to 2008, and IDT Corporation from 2002 to 2006. From 2002 to 2008, Governor Gilmore was a partner at the law firm of Kelley Drye and Warren, where he chaired the firm's Homeland Security Practice Group and focused on corporate, technology, information technology and international matters.

General Wallace is a visionary senior executive, leader, and organizational manager with a 39-year record of military excellence and achievement. As Commander of the Army's Training and Doctrine Command from 2005 to 2008, he led more than 50,000 soldiers and civilian employees at 33 army schools. He was the architect of the Army's reorganization in the continuation of military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, and developed the organizational, technical, and warfighting requirements for the Future Combat Systems and other Army modernization efforts.

Prior to this, General Wallace was Commanding General of the Army Combined Arms Center from 2003 to 2005, Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, where he was responsible for the development of new and emerging Army and Joint doctrine, providing the intellectual foundation for military leadership in the 21st Century.

As Commander of the Fifth U.S. Corps from 2001 to 2003, during the opening campaign of Operation Iraqi Freedom General Wallace led 140,000 soldiers from Kuwait to Baghdad, and subsequently directed the occupation of Western and Northern Iraq. He served as Commander of the Joint Warfighting Center from 1999 to 2001; Commanding General of the 4th Infantry Division - the Army's first "digitized" division that incorporated new C4ISR technologies - from 1997 to 1999; and Commanding General of the National Training Center from 1995 to 1997. Ingram Micro to Distribute New IBM Smart CubeIBM Taps World's Largest Distributor to Launch New IBM Smart Business Solution in U.S.

SANTA ANA, Calif., July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Delivering more value to channel partners, Ingram Micro Inc. today announced it has been selected as a distributor for IBM Smart Cube, a key hardware and software platform of the new IBM Smart Business solution recently launched by IBM in the U.S.

Available to authorized IBM, Ingram Micro channel partners in the U.S., the new IBM Smart Business combines hardware, software and technical support in a pre-integrated, automated appliance. The IBM Smart Cube provides a wide range of business applications available for download from the IBM Smart Market, for customers in a range of industries including healthcare, telecommunications and manufacturing.

According to Scott Zahl, vice president, vendor management, Ingram Micro North America, the agreement gives Ingram Micro channel partners an opportunity to get in on the ground floor with technology that will help ease the day-to-day back-office operations for small and midsize businesses (SMBs). "IBM's Smart Business appliance helps simplify many of the business applications SMBs use today," says Zahl. "As a distributor for Smart Cube, we are extremely pleased to help our channel partners build their IBM business practices while gaining a competitive edge with this exciting and new business-ready offering."

IBM Smart Cube features an innovative support system that responds proactively to assist customers in resolving support issues. The system dynamically alerts customers to common problems and quickly provides suggestions to solve or circumvent issues, making it ideal for end customer SMBs with limited IT support desk staffing.

"The requirements of small and medium businesses are unique - they need to be as sophisticated as enterprise companies, but they are limited by smaller IT staffs and fewer IT integration capabilities. IBM Smart Business is able to provide a salve for this - a breakthrough way for businesses to acquire, use and manage technology that is radically simple," says Juhi Jotwani, vice president, IBM Smart Business. "By partnering with Ingram Micro to distribute this new offering through our joint Business Partners, we will be reaching a broad market of small and medium sized businesses."

Ingram Micro channel partners will also benefit from the simplified solution that Smart Business offers. Resellers can order the system in a fully functional configuration with built-in options and complete testing provided by IBM prior to shipment. "This speeds the sales and implementation processes and allows channel partners to concentrate on the overall solution -- not integration time and expense," says Zahl.

Initially, 18 Independent Solution Vendors (ISVs) will be selling business applications for Smart Business. More ISVs are being added monthly. Smart Cube includes all of the fundamental business capabilities such as email, calendaring, security and finances.

Interested solution providers can contact their Ingram Micro sales representative for more information.

Sears Adopts OpenID TechnologyFirst Major Retailer to Implement the Forward Looking TechnologyOver 1 Million MySears and MyKmart Users Can Now Integrate Directly To Major Social Media Sites

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill., July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Sears Holdings Corp. announced today that it is the first major retailer to launch the Open ID platform for Sears Communities, which will connect over 1 million monthly visitors via MySears and MyKmart sites to major social media.

The OpenID universal login standard enables visitors to consolidate their Internet identity by providing them a single login for all of their online interactions. This is the first step toward enabling customers to log in to Sears communities using their social IDs rather than set up new accounts. This covers the most popular, familiar web sites such as Google, Facebook, MySpace, Yahoo! and Twitter.

Through this new innovation, users in the Sears and Kmart communities can use the ID and password they already have to write product reviews and can share information on products, services and solutions. Future updates planned with the OpenID platform will allow users in the communities to share their posts and product reviews with friends easily via Facebook.

Renaissance Capital Fully Implemented Actimize, a NICE Company, Anti-Money Laundering and Market Abuse SolutionsInvestment Bank Leverages Actimize's Scalable Risk Management Platform for Complying With FSA Regulations and for Automated, Streamlined Compliance Enforcement With Lower TCO

NEW YORK, July 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Actimize, a leading provider of transactional risk management software for the financial services industry and a NICE Systems company , today announced that Renaissance Capital, a major emerging markets investment bank, has fully implemented its Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and market abuse solutions to comply with strict FSA and Russian regulations and to automate, streamline and drive down the costs of its enterprise compliance enforcement, gaining lower total-cost-of-ownership (TCO).

"Before, we used a number of manual checks and processes to monitor transactions, but these methods were too complicated, time consuming and simply weren't sufficient for our auditors. After conducting due diligence on ten vendors, we chose Actimize, since it provides the best overall solutions for our requirements," explained Alexey Klepikov, Project Manager at Renaissance Capital. "Our business processes and trading schemes are different from those of typical banks and can present challenges when tracking suspicious activities. However, as a result of Actimize experience with dozens of other institutions, we managed to test the solution on site in a week early in the selection process, which ended with us benefiting from a fully-functioning Actimize solution within five business days."

Renaissance Capital, founded in 1995 as a Moscow-based investment bank, delivers innovative financial and investment solutions to government, corporate and institutional clients in high-opportunity emerging markets around the world. It has expanded significantly to become the pre-eminent specialist in emerging markets, with a presence in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, Russia and the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States). The firm also offers its clients access to these markets through financial centres such as London and New York.

"Working on a single risk platform makes it easy for our compliance staff to track and monitor alerts. If there is a compliance issue we definitely know about it," added Klepikov. "We needed to implement a rigorous Market Abuse solution to keep us in compliance with the newly introduced Russian requirements. Actimize's single platform makes this relatively simple to deploy and provides us with the insight and knowledge that we require."

Actimize's solutions enable compliance and risk managers to manage a complete surveillance program on a single platform. The AML solution addresses requirements such as those defined in the Third Money-Laundering Directive, from account opening, watch list filtering and activity monitoring, to case management, oversight and reporting. The Market Abuse solution monitors and detects dozens of different issues from potential market manipulation, and insider dealings to other market abuse issues and automatically generates alerts. The system uses several analytical methods to assign priority scores to alerts, thus improving the efficiency of regulators, trading managers and compliance staff. Built on a single, integrated platform, the Actimize solution enables institutions to add additional different compliance and fraud solutions over time, while retaining the same analytical tools, data layer, investigation and case management interface, dashboard, audit tracking and other functions.

"We are extremely happy that Renaissance Capital is successfully leveraging our solutions and platform to not only adhere to compliance demands, but also stay one step ahead of its competitors," said Bruno Piers de Raveschoot, Vice President and Head of Actimize Europe. "With our AML and market abuse solutions, Renaissance Capital can identify suspicious behavior more effectively, streamline its processes and enhance efficiency as well as protect itself against the repercussions of reputational and financial losses that may be incurred from different compliance issues."

Queens Residents Benefit from Verizon Wireless 3G Network ExpansionNew Cell Site Added to Keep Residents Connected to Text, Email, Music and Mobile Web

ORANGEBURG, N.Y., July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Wireless calling, text messaging and surfing the Mobile Web on the Verizon Wireless high-speed 3G network will be easier and faster for Queens residents and visitors this summer, thanks to the activation of a new cell site in Jackson Heights.

The new cell site improves network coverage and capacity along 37th Avenue and Northern Boulevard from 80th to 89th streets.

With the improved network coverage, customers can use their wireless devices to send and receive email and text, picture and video messages; view high-quality videos; and access VZ Navigator's turn-by-turn directions, while enjoying clearer reception and fewer dropped calls. The Verizon Wireless network also is built for reliability during emergencies, such as power outages and extreme weather conditions, with redundancy capabilities in place to maintain service for customers when they need it the most.

These network enhancements are part of Verizon Wireless' aggressive multi-billion dollar network investment each year to stay ahead of the growing demand for the company's voice and data services. Verizon Wireless spent $238 million to enhance services and coverage throughout metro New York and New Jersey in 2008, bringing total network investment to more than $2.2 billion in the region and more than $50 billion nationwide since 2000.

"We've always believed even the most advanced cell phone is only as good as the network it runs on, " said Pat Devlin, regional president. "Our 3G high-speed Mobile Broadband network is the largest and most reliable in the United States, and field tests are underway that will enable us to become the first wireless company to offer commercial LTE (Long Term Evolution)-based 4G service in the U.S., starting in 2010."

Demand for Verizon Wireless services continued during the first quarter of 2009 when the company reported a total of 86.6 million customers, an increase of 28.8 percent year over year. The company continues to lead the industry in customer loyalty rates and, for the sixth consecutive year, also led the industry in customer satisfaction in the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) survey.

During the first quarter, Verizon Wireless customers sent or received an average of 1.4 billion text messages each day, totaling more than 127 billion text messages. Customers also sent nearly 2.1 billion picture/video messages and completed 48.6 million music and video downloads during the quarter.

Nationally, Verizon Wireless' real-life test men and women drive more than 90 specially-equipped vehicles nearly one million miles each year on the country's most frequently traveled roadways to confirm that voice calls and data connections are successful on the first attempt and stay connected. Vehicles are equipped with computers that automatically make more than three million voice call attempts and more than 16 million data tests annually on Verizon Wireless' network and the networks of other carriers.

Western Capital Announces Opening of Five Additional Cricket Stores, Posts Record 1st Quarter, Momentum Builds- Aggressive store growth plan in the wireless reseller segment drives significant long-term upside, while payday advance locations provide strong cash flow,- Record 1Q09 revenues and net income, with top line growth of 70% YoY,- Strong first quarter trends and momentum continued through June.

OMAHA, Neb., July 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Western Capital Resources, Inc. ("Western Capital" or "WCRS") today announced the opening of an additional five prepaid wireless Cricket (Leap Wireless, Inc.; Nasdaq: LEAP) stores. The additional stores increase the Company's wireless store count to 35, up significantly from two roughly one year ago.

Western Capital also reported strong financial performance resulting in a record first quarter. Quarterly revenue was $4.8 million, a 70% increase from first quarter 2008 revenues of $2.8 million, primarily driven by growth in the wireless segment. Income from operations rose to $378,305 from a loss of ($122,871) during the prior year's same period. Net income improved to $228,305 from a loss of ($95,429), with net loss per share (after preferred stock dividends) improving to ($0.04) from ($0.08).

During the first quarter of 2009, ended March 31, Western Capital added 19 storefronts, bringing total storefronts to 85. Growth was primarily driven by adding locations to the Company's base of wireless stores, leading to a mix of 55 payday advance locations and 30 wireless locations in 13 states by quarter-end. The Company expects strong continued growth in its wireless resale store base and sees strong demand in the consumer market for the Cricket wireless product, which will be the major growth engine for the future. Just last week, the Company opened five additional wireless locations in Maryland.

Western Capital's goal for the remainder of 2009 is to expand to 50 wireless stores by year-end, 100 wireless stores by year-end 2010, and 200 locations within three years. Additional expansion in 2009 will come from opening new stores in existing markets, such as Phoenix, Salt Lake, St. Louis and Kansas City. Western Capital similarly intends to add 50 new Cricket locations in both existing and new markets in 2010 bringing total locations to 155 (55 Payday Advance locations and 100 Cricket resale locations within 18 months). The Cricket wireless business has grown significantly from 2 stores one year ago to 11 stores in four states (Texas, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri) at year-end 2008 and to 35 stores in six states (Texas, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Indiana, Maryland) today.

"Our payday business segment has been strong because our alternative financial products provide a valuable solution for retail customers that need cash to solve their short-term needs in the challenging economic environment. Additionally, our prepaid wireless consumer products provide a means for credit challenged customers to obtain wireless services with attractive dialing plans from a leading network operator in their local markets," said John Quandahl, CEO of Western Capital. "We expect continued strength throughout the remainder of 2009 due to consumer demand for both products and our aggressive expansion plans. In fact, strong trends and momentum experienced in 1Q09 have continued through June."

About Western Capital Resources, Inc. Western Capital Resources, Inc. ("Western Capital Resources," or "WCRS"), provides short-term consumer loans, commonly referred to as cash advance or "payday" loans, through its wholly owned operating subsidiary Wyoming Financial Lenders, Inc.
