Maxim Integrated MAX14912 Octal High-Speed, High-Side Switch/Push-Pull Driver have a robust and fast 24V driver, capable of 200kHz switching rate. The device has eight smart high-side switches at 640mA. The switches can be configured as push-pull drivers for high-speed switching. The MAX14912 has a propagation delay of 1µs (typ.) for high-side mode, and 0.5µs (typ.) for push-pull mode. The device has a low on-resistance of 230m (max.) at 500mA load current at TA=125°C. The SPI in parallel and serial setting modes allows configuration through the MAX14912. Multiple devices can be daisy-chained through the SPI interface, which also supports command mode. The command mode is for the highest detailed diagnostic information. In high-side mode open-load detection identifies open-wire conditions in on/off states. The high-side mode open-load detection also detects LED drivers, which provide indication of per-channel fault and status conditions. High-side mode also accelerates the shutdown of inductive loads quickly with internal active clamps.
