Features, Applications

INA231 High- or Low-Side Measurement, Bidirectional Current and Power Monitor With 1.8-V I2C Interface

The is a current-shunt and power monitor with a 1.8-V compliant I2C interface that features 16 programmable addresses. The INA231 monitors both shunt voltage drops and bus supply voltage. Programmable calibration value, conversion times, and averaging combined with an internal multiplier enable direct readouts of current in amperes and power in watts. The INA231 senses current on buses that vary from 28 V, with the device powered from a single to 5.5-V supply, drawing 330 A (typical) of supply current. The INA231 is specified over the operating temperature range to +125°C. Device Information(1)
