DESCRIPTION The AT QUAD POS is a powered 4 port card, based on the RS232 standard;it is ideal for linking and powering peripherals, such as bar code readers, printers, card readers and display units, cash drawers. It has an extremely flexible port addressing scheme; as well as the COM 1 to COM 4 addresses, numerous i/o maps are selectable. Each serial port interrupt can be separately gated onto any of the IRQ 2-7, 10-12 and 1415 lines, and the shared interrupt mechanism allows upto 4 ports to share one IRQ line - ideal for limited resource PCs. SOFTWARE This card comes complete with the Serial Solutions Device Driver package providing simple access for up to 255 COM ports as standard devices. For Windows 3.x, Windows 95 and Windows NT 3.51 & 4 a simple setup wizard is supplied to configure a card in a few simple steps. n n n n n n n n n n Four modified RS232 serial ports (see text).
