Description
The IDT7M926/936 provides reliable, high performance 25Mbps Asychronous Transfer Mode connectivity in a PCI card edge Network Interface Card (NIC) form factor. The IDT7M926/936 supports Unshielded Twisted Pair, Category 3 (UTP-3) cabling. The board supports either the IDT77252 or the IDT77222 ABR Segmentation And Reassembly (SAR) controller. The ABR SAR connects directly to the PCI bus, a private SRAM/EPROM bus, and the Utopia PHY interface. The physical interface utilizes the IDT77105 PHY, providing both Transmission Convergence (TC) and Physical Media Dependent (PMD) layers in one device. The IDT7M926/936 is designed for use in PCI systems, which may include PC compatibles, MIPS, Alpha, Windows NT systems, and PowerPC Macintosh systems. The IDT7M926/936 features complete PCI 2.0-bus ATM NIC functionality, plugging directly into PCI bus expansion slots.
