The is a one-cell, Li-ion battery charger controller which includes constant-current and constant voltage charging, a precise charge termination, and precharging of undervoltage cells. It contains the minimum circuitry needed to safely charge a lithium-ion or lithium-polymer cell. This makes it good for very compact, portable applications.
