DESCRIPTION These circuits consist of four i ndependent, high gain, internally frequency compensated operational amplifiers. They operate from a s ingle power supply over a wide range of v oltages. O peration from s plit power supplies is also possible and the low power supply current drain is independent of the magnitude of the power s upply v oltage. All the pins are protected against electrostatic discharges up to 2000V (as a consequence, the input voltages must not exceed the magnitude of VCC+ or VCC-. ) PIN CONNECTIONS (top view)

Either or both input voltages must n ot exceed the magnitude of V C C+ o r VC C- . Short-circuits from the output to V CC can cause excessive heating if VCC > 15V. The maximum output current is approximately 40mA independent o f the magnitude o f V C C. Destructive dissipation can result fr om s imultaneous short-circuit on all amplifiers. T his input c urrent o nly exists when the voltage at a ny o f the input l eads is driven negative. It i s due to the collector-base junction of the input P NP tr ansistor becoming f orward biased and thereby acting a s input d iodes c lamps. In addition to this diode action, there is also NPN parasitic action on the IC chip. this tr ansistor action can c ause the output voltages of the Op-amps to go to the VCC voltage level (or t o ground for a large o verdrive) for the ti me duration than an input is driven negative. T his is n ot destructive a nd normal output will set up again for input v oltage higher than -0.3V.
