QC6308/9 Series
4 to 25MHz DIGITALLY TEMPERATURE COMPENSATED QUARTZ CRYSTAL OSCILLATORS
T h e QC6308 and QC6309 oscillators have been developed to provide a very stable frequency source with temperature by using digital techniques. They have been designed to overcome one of the main problems associated with conventional DTCXO products, namely poor short term stability - thus enabling them to be used in professional telecommunication applications, eg. GSM. All this has been achieved within the constraints of a standard package size.

MARKING The following information is indelibly marked on the top surface of each device and on each primary package: 1. GPS Logo 2. The type number 3. The nominal output frequency in 'MHz' 4. The offset (Hz) to be applied at 25°C 5. The date code in accordance with Clause 22 of BS9000: Part 1: 1981 6. The primary package is marked to indicate device static sensitivity
GENERAL NOTES
STATIC PRECAUTIONS All quartz crystal oscillators can contain devices which are deemed to be static sensitive. Full handling precautions must be followed at all times when dealing with these devices. Failure to do so may result in damage to the product. A useful guide is BS CECC 00015 : Part 1 : 1991, Protection of Electrostatic Devices.
MECHANICAL PRECAUTIONS
Handling Care must be taken to avoid damage to pins, particularly when glass to metal seals have been used in the manufacture of the device. This can lead to loss of hermeticity which can impair the long term performance of the unit. GPS product is built to withstand normal assembly practices, however, excessive levels of shock or vibration may result in degraded performance or in extreme cases total failure of the product.
