The Primarion Digital Multiphase Power chipset is based on an industryleading, fully digital power architecture. The Chipset delivers leading voltage regulation accuracy and transient performance while requiring fewer external capacitors and enabling faster design cycles.
Primarion PowerCodeTM PX3530 Digital Controller Features
· Controls up to six Primarion PX3510 Power Stages · Programmable switching frequency range between 250KHz and 1MHz · Programmable high-side and low-side FET non-overlap timing offering improved efficiency · Digitally programmable loop compensation that remains precise over time and temperature · ATR which provides improved transient response offsets costs and reduces board space · Output voltage regulation range of 0.8375 VDC to 1.85V DC · 64-pin plastic QFN package
The Primarion PowerCode PX3530 Digital Controller manages up to six phases and offers digital programmability through a unique, easy-to-use GUI - the Primarion PowerCodeTM Architecture Manager - for instant access to design functions. It communicates with the Primarion PowerCode PX3510 Integrated Power Stage via digital signaling, assuring superior noise immunity. The controller's flexibility can be extended with the addition of an external EEPROM for updating key circuit operating parameters in the control loop and overall system. Designers are free to choose output stage components and optimize system performance through software that allows user access to the digital architecture.

The Primarion PowerCode PX3510 Integrated Power Stage is a High Side FET/driver combination that provides high current capability per converter phase at high switching frequency. The chip incorporates intelligence to provide fast transient response and digital communication between the Primarion PX3510 IC and the Primarion PowerCode PX3530 Digital Controller. Through the Primarion PowerCode Architecture Manager, users can configure and monitor IUVP, OU/OV protection, and peak current limit.
